Being offended is a woke token for many of those on the Left. So much so that these people hunt out ways to take offense of their own accord. This is why it is not rare to see progressives crying and screaming at comedy shows. But that does not make it any less foolish and embarrassing. In fact, it's the logical equivalent of heading out to a bar and throwing a fit because there are drunk people there. That is what we are dealing with when it comes to those who take offense at a JOKE as well as those who wish to cancel comedians because they are “offensive.”

In other news, there are woke comedy clubs.

I could not think of anything more miserable than going to a comedy club in Seattle. Luckily, comedians Jim Florentine, Luis J. Gomez, Kurt Metzger, and Dave Smith were canceled by the Capitol Hill Comedy Bar and will no longer have to perform for “a super woke progressive venue [where] the entire lineup is blue-haired freaks.”

Jim Florentine, Luis J. Gomez, Kurt Metzger, and Dave Smith were canceled by the Capitol Hill Comedy Bar in Seattle, Washington located near the site of the deadly 2020 autonomous zone.

Florentine posted an email he received from the comedy club's management that read, "After careful consideration and discussions with our team, investors, local comedians, and neighborhood advocacy groups, we've encountered a challenging situation that requires us to revisit the planned shows.”

"Capitol Hill is known for its progressive values, and we've received significant feedback expressing concerns about the alignment of these upcoming shows with the neighborhood's ethos. This feedback includes concerns from local advocacy groups that are deeply embedded in our community and work towards upholding its values."

"This decision was not made lightly, and we want to ensure it does not reflect on your talent and the quality of your work but is instead a reflection of our commitment to our community's values."

This is despite the club claiming it believes in the "art of comedy and the diverse perspectives it brings."

This comment is a great response to sum this all up:

The dumb thing about all of that is that the “neighborhood's ethos” is not who bought the tickets to the show. And it’s incredibly stupid that they are taking advice from people who are not interested in the event, rather than the people who paid to watch it.

Being offended is a choice. And progressives are always choosing to find ways to earn this leftist merit. It’s pretty pathetic and cringy, to say the very least.

Anyone who backed efforts to cancel these comedians has an objectively low IQ. That is a fact, not an opinion. And because of that, I guess we cannot really blame these people for being that painfully stupid and obnoxious given their blatant mental disabilities. But someone should honestly tell them next time that if they don't like something, they don't have to go. It really is that simple.

In case you needed more proof that Progressivism is a woke cult, here it is. This story is yet another example of the mind virus that plagues progressive areas.

The test of truth can only prevail in the battle between other ideas. This is why we need a marketplace for this instead of relying on the opinion of an authoritarian censor. History shows that the ones demanding to control the thoughts and speech of the masses are the same ones who end up becoming mass murderers.

Now, I am not saying that MSNBC legal analyst Barbara McQuade is a mass murderer, by any means. However, we will not rule out that she might be what a tyrant calls a “useful idiot.”

McQuade said that the "deep commitment to free speech" makes Americans vulnerable to disinformation.

Freedom of speech is enshrined in the Constitution so that truth can prevail over asinine claims like that.

According to Fox News:

McQuade, a University of Michigan law professor, went on "The Rachel Maddow Show" to promote her new book, "Attack from Within: How Disinformation is Sabotaging America." She said her "goal" with the book was to spark a "national conversation about truth and our commitment to it."

She added, "I hope that by dissecting it, explaining it, and educating the public, we can all see disinformation for what it is so that we can begin to push back against it."

When asked by host Rachel Maddow whether America is just as susceptible to disinformation as other countries, McQuade argued that it is even more vulnerable.

"Actually, Rachel, I think we’re more susceptible to it than other countries, and that’s because some of our greatest strengths can also be our Achilles Heel," McQuade said. "So, for example, our deep commitment to free speech in our First Amendment. It is a cherished right. It’s an important right in democracy, and nobody wants to get rid of it, but it makes us vulnerable to claims [that] anything we want to do related to speech is censorship."

That makes no sense. We have the strongest protections of Freedom of Speech than any country in the world. And the more lacking a country is in the department, the more indoctrinated the population is. This is true for China, North Korea, and just about any authoritarian country you can think of.

The point of Free Speech is not to control the flow of information. It is to prevent the government from controlling freedom of thought. The government or the media is not the arbiter of truth, according to the Constitution.

She argued, "Of course, the Supreme Court has held that all fundamental rights, even the right to free speech, can be limited as long as there is a compelling governmental interest and the restriction is narrowly tailored to achieve that interest. But I think any time someone tries to do anything that might limit free speech, people claim censorship."

"We need to have a conversation and common-sense solutions to these things," she said. "Instead, we throw out terms like ‘censorship,' call each other names, use labels and retreat to our opposite sides. We need to be pragmatic and come up with real solutions."

"But, it is, I think, one of the things that makes America particularly vulnerable to disinformation," she concluded.

Want to know how smart this professor is? This is how smart she is.

She is incredibly confused about what rights are. The Bill of Rights does not afford anyone these freedoms. That document is solely meant to limit a tyrannical government from coming in and stealing those rights. I know that and I have never even been to law school.

I think the most interesting and ironic thing about all this is that what we have here is a law professor, using disinformation about the First Amendment, in an attempt to destroy it. It’s people like her that make the First Amendment necessary. The Bill of Rights was made because people liked her existence.

When elected officials scream “defund the police,” any sane person would take that as an admission that you want more people to suffer from crimes. One cannot advocate for less police without knowing that murder, assault, and all other violent crimes will increase. You cannot be in favor of a poorly funded police department without being in favor of hurting the same people you claim to want to help. And if you don’t know all of that and truly believe defunding the police will do nothing but HELP people - that means you are too stupid to function in daily life and it should be illegal for that person to serve in office.

Pittsburgh saw a 46% increase in shootings from 2020 to 2021, and the highest number of homicides in 2022, than it had seen in decades.

I am sure you can guess how that happened.

From 2020 through 2022, Pittsburgh did not hire one single officer. Not one.

Having said all of that, it is unclear if the goal of local officials is to continually make the very people they represent suffer and fall victim to crime, but that is de facto what is happening.

Because despite all of that, the Pittsburgh Police Department is trying to decrease the department's call volume from 200,000 to 50,000 calls per year, by no longer responding to 911 calls that are not related to "in progress emergencies."

According to WFMZ:

Starting Monday, the city of Pittsburgh says it will no longer respond to 911 calls that are not related to "in progress emergencies."

According to a press release titled "Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Makes Operational Changes to Better Serve Pittsburgh," the city will create a "Telephone Reporting Unit" (TRU) to dispatch calls that do not require an in-person response by officers.

According to an investigation by the Pittsburgh-based station WPXI, this means that calls related to crimes such as criminal mischief, theft, harassment and burglary alarms will all be handled by the TRU or other forms of online reporting.

This has NOTHING to do with public safety. But you already knew that.

The department claims this is an attempt to “increase officer wellness” by decreasing the number of days they work from five to four.

But again, is there a reason they cannot decrease the number of working days by just hiring more officers?

Well, I guess you would only do that if your goal was to increase wellness in the department, while also keeping the public safe.

It is unclear if the department is having massive trouble getting officers to apply. But if that were the case, it’s expected because you cannot promote a culture that vilifies police, turns criminals into victims, and then expect people to come running to work for that force. No one would do that.

I am not going to tell you what the intent of this policy is. That’s up to you to decide. But I will tell you that no one, and I mean no one, will be safer because of this.

When you and your buddies start a band, this is not the way most expect to accomplish their claim to fame. But this article includes an all-boys band, estrogen, and an attempt to steal someone's fiance.

According to The New York Post:

A small-time hardcore band has shot to viral fame over a bizarre gender-bending tale — one that involves a singer supposedly dosing his bandmate with estrogen in an effort to steal his fiancée.

The band Llorona shared the story on its Instagram page, claiming that the vocalist “Diego” attempted to “force a transition” on his supposed pal by giving him pre-workout drinks laced with the female hormone.

The vocalist’s goal, according to the post, was to make himself look more manly compared to his love rival so Diego could “swoop in.” The band’s post called it a “stupid cave man mindset that makes zero sense.”

“We have decided to part ways with our vocalist Diego due to the admission of very disturbing and concerning behavior towards one of our band members and their partner,” the band wrote.

The vocalist confessed to the bizarre act during a drinking binge — then admitted it again via text message, Llorona claimed in a post.

“He has admitted to being obsessed with said partner, and has been attempting to sabotage their relationship by cutting pre-workout that he frequently gifts from his job with high amounts of estrogen,” the post said.

“He has been attempting to force a transition onto him for the 5 months, in hopes that it would give him the opportunity to ‘swoop in’ once he looked stronger and more manly in comparison.”

The hormone-laced drinks have caused confusion — as well as thousands in medical bills — as the victim named “sixx” tried to figure out what was going wrong.

The victim of this baffling scheme said he has suffered physical changes from the drug and has spent thousands on medical bills.

What is even more disturbing than all this is some people think this story is “transphobic.”

Words cannot describe how deranged some people are.

That said, this is a tale as old as time. So much so that there are at least 50 Lifetime movies about this.

The first thing one should ask themselves when they start experiencing unexplainable health complications is if they have been routinely drinking a smoothie someone else has been making them. Never, never trust a person who goes out of their way to make you a smoothie - especially when no one asks for it.

Let’s hope that “sixx” makes a full recovery and that Diego is fully prosecuted under the law. Because no one, and I mean no one, ever thought they could “forcibly transition.” We all thought forcibly “affirming” one's gender confusion was bad enough. But like I said - new fear unlocked.

“Where's The Beef?”

Wendy’s has walked back its claim that they will increase prices during busy hours. Instead, what they now claim to have meant was that these plans to implement “dynamic pricing” are really about offering "discounts" during non-peak times.

And for the record, the definition of dynamic pricing is, “the practice of varying the price for a product or service to reflect changing market conditions, in particular the charging of a higher price at a time of greater demand.”

But we all knew they were going to eat their own words and walk back the plans. On Monday we reported, “My guess is that this price surge will be so unpopular, that the company will have to peddle back on its claim and fall through on the plan.”

Now, their PR team is scrambling, claiming, “tHiS iS nOt WhAt We MeAnT.”

According to Business Insider:

"Beginning as early as 2025, we will begin testing more enhanced features like dynamic pricing and daypart offerings along with AI-enabled menu changes and suggestive selling," Tanner said in the company's fourth-quarter earnings call.

After the CEO's comments, Business Insider contacted Wendy's by email to ask for more details, including how much prices would vary under the new model, which BI's email referred to as "surge pricing."

Wendy's responded with a statement about what the digital menu boards would entail but didn't dispute the "surge pricing" characterization.

After an online stir about the new pricing model, a Wendy's spokesperson, Heidi Schauer, sent an update Tuesday evening saying, "Wendy's will not implement surge-pricing, which is the practice of raising prices when demand is highest."

An announcement on the company website reiterated that digital menu boards would allow stores to change featured items more easily and would offer discounts to customers.

Obviously, offering discounts will bring more people in. But their backpedaling makes no sense since they are basically doubling down on the claim that menu prices will change based on ambiguous standards and no one is here for that.

If they truly meant they would be offering discounts when they used the term “dynamic pricing,” why would they not just say “discounts?” That makes much more sense considering that dynamic pricing means a price that consistently changes and often refers to an increase, not a decrease. Honestly, I have never seen any company use the term “dynamic pricing” when referring to discounts.

But they are still being vague in the fact that they are still claiming digital menu prices will change throughout the day. Technically, depending on what time of day someone visits, they may experience more expensive prices. So again, it’s not wrong to say one is being charged “a higher price at a time of greater demand.” Because that is de facto what they are doing.

But whatever. If they want to throw out ambiguous and vague claims to defend their sketchy AI menus, that is their prerogative.

Word of advice to the “Home of Fresh, Never Frozen Beef,” just keep one price and email out time-specific coupons like a normal company does.

Anyway, to each their own, and “Square’s the beef.”

Illinois booted Trump off the ballot because if he is the nominee, the left believes they don’t stand a chance.

“The left has become completely authoritarian here. There is no argument about it. The Democrats are completely terrified of Trump winning in November,” Crowder said. “They are going to do everything they can to try and stop him, and that means throwing out due process.”

According to The Chicago Tribune:

[Judge Tracie] Porter ruled that in signing his statement of candidacy for the Illinois Republican primary ballot on Jan. 4, Trump “falsely swore” that he was “‘legally qualified’ for the office he sought because the Colorado Supreme Court had already ruled that the former president “had been found to engage in insurrection.”

In other words, because one liberal court in Colorado decided Trump could not be on the ballot without a trial, then that must mean it’s true. At least according to the Left.

"It was an opinion and they are basically saying [Trump] committed perjury by falsely swearing he was qualified," Crowder said. "And they are saying he is not qualified because he is an insurrectionist. There is no legal basis for that. They could do it to any of you. You all have the right to run for office.”

The judge made her ruling based on the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment. However, Trump has never been charged nor convicted of insurrection.

"You also have a right to a trial. You can't just say somebody did something. There is no other place in our system of Democracy where that exists in any other shape and form," Gerald A said. “They are just playing games here and they know it won’t be upheld but they are doing it because they know they are safe in their liberal cities.”

Even Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson seem to disagree that a single judge or state has the right to decide who can or cannot become POTUS.

“I think the question that you have to confront is why a single state should decide who gets to be president of the United States,” Kagan said, according to POLITICO. “In other words, this question of whether a former president is disqualified for insurrection,” she continued. “It sounds awfully national to me.”

Mitch McConnell has announced he is stepping down as Senate Leader in November. This leaves an opening for establishment critics to step up and show us how to lead. One of those critics, Sen. Rand Paul, has gotten an endorsement from almost the least likely place. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

I say almost because RFK Jr has some libertarian tendencies, as does Sen. Paul. One of his reasons for endorsing Rand is that we need leaders who won’t kowtow to the military contractors or push us deeper into foreign conflicts.

RFK Jr. points to Rand as someone who will "prioritize American wellness over all else." Adding, "He’s shown great judgment and has the grit to put hardworking Americans first."

I don't have the bandwidth to care much about "leadership" races. Every year since the Tea Party, there have been a lot of complaints that we need to replace the establishment leadership. Yet, not a lot of people stepping up to lead themselves.

I also don't have any strong opinions for or against Mitch McConnell any more than any other politician. We've had some laughs with Cocaine Mitch over the years. He deserves his flowers for ratf*cking the Democrats over replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg. And while we all praise Donald Trump over the way he singlehandedly overturned Roe v. Wade by choosing names off of a list and having the self-control to stay off Twitter during hearings, McConnell deserves a little bit of credit for doing the work to actually get all three Justices confirmed.

But this is a game for what you've done for me lately. And lately, Mitch has been more effective as a senator for Ukraine than one for Kentucky. Under McConnell's "leadership" Joe Biden got away with:

• Lowering the threshold for taxing you on your side hustles to $600 PER TRANSACTION in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a bill that "bribed us with our own money."
• Funding 87,000 new IRS employees in the Inflation Reduction Act, a bill Biden has since admitted he lied about ever being about reducing inflation.

Would it be nice if someone like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, or Mike Lee stepped up and ran for Senate Leader? Sure. But we've been waiting for that since 2010. Instead, we'll get stuck with John Thune and complain about the establishment for a few more election cycles.

During the Panny D, cannabis stores were open but tobacco shops had to close down because it was not considered “essential” in California. Ironically, Gavin Newsom “raised more money from cannabis interests than any other California politician” while running for governor. And what is even more ironic is that the Tobacco industry heavily favors its donations towards Republican candidates.

Newsom signed a bill into law that mandates a $20-an-hour minimum wage for many fast-food chains. Coincidentally, Panera Bread not only donated to his campaign but is a major donor. And what is even MORE ironic than all the aforementioned irregularities, is that Panera is somehow exempt from that $20 minimum wage.

What a coincidence. Weird how some things work out.

According to The New York Post:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law that exempts Panera Bread from a new $20-an-hour minimum wage hike for fast food chains after the billionaire owner of several of the chain’s locations donated to his campaign, according to a report.

In September, Newsom, a Democrat, signed into law a measure thatraises the minimum wage of fast food workers from $16 an hour to $20 an hour.

But the Fast Food Accountability and Standards Recovery Act (FAST Act) includes an unusual carve-out that exempts “chains that bake bread and sell it as a standalone item,” according to Bloomberg News.

Newsom reportedly sought the exemption, which benefits among others Greg Flynn, the billionaire CEO of Flynn Restaurant Group, the company that owns some two dozen Panera Bread locations in the state.

Flynn, who attended the same high school as Newsom, has been involved in business dealings with the California governor, according to Bloomberg News. He has also contributed to Newsom’s political campaigns.

In 2014, Flynn, who is the largest franchisee in the US with thousands of brands including Applebee’s, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s, acquired a Napa Valley resort that was managed by Newsom’s hospitality firm, according to disclosure forms.

Flynn has a net worth valued at $1.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He has donated at least $164,800 to Newsom’s campaigns.

But all of that is just a coincidence. Just like how major Democratic donors were allowed to stay open in California during the Panny D and other stores had to close down, some for good. There is nothing to see here.

Jokes aside, there is a reason we have the saying: "If Democrats did not have double standards, they would have no standards at all."

How many Panera employees do you think voted for Newsom? Probably a good chunk. And how many do you think will be phased by all of this in the way they vote? Close to none. That is because Democrat voters would do just about anything, including voting for their demise before they vote for a Republican. And on top of that, these people don't often make the connection that elected officials have a direct impact on the policies put in place. Rather than blame Gavin Newsom for exempting their minimum wage, they will likely blame Capitalism. Even though this is the antithesis of what you would call a "free market."

All this happens as Democrats constantly put in policies that kill small businesses and benefit massive corporations. Why did Target never have to shut down during the Panny D but so many mom-and-pop shops closed for good? Because no matter how many times Democrats scream that they are all for the little guy, they are anything but that. More often than not, every policy that they put forward does everything in its power to crush the "little guy."

Democrats are the party of millionaires and it could not be any more obvious.

And the craziest part about all of this is that the majority of those Panera workers will still vote Democrat.

One of the hardest things to grasp about the tragic death of Laken Riley is that it was 100 percent preventable. It should have never happened. But because the left is so concerned with making sure no human is illegal, there are asinine policies in place that de facto led to the death of Riley.

But the Mayor of Athens refuses to admit any of that and said that the tragic death of Laken Riley is not connected to illegal immigration - even though the suspect is an illegal immigrant. And it is unclear how someone can be so deranged, to the point that he claimed with a straight face, that an incident where a victim was killed by an illegal immigrant is somehow not related to illegal immigration.

Athens-Clarke County Mayor Kelly Girtz held a press conference on Wednesday morning regarding the killing of Augusta University nursing student Laken Riley and the arrest of illegal immigrant Jose Ibarra as a suspect in connection with the death, and was met with protestors calling for his resignation.

During the press conference, Girtz spoke on getting inquiries about the sanctuary city status of Athens-Clarke County.

"The term sanctuary city doesn't have a sole legal or procedural definition. You can look in Georgia statute and you can find a clear definition for a unified government. You can look in contractual language and you can find out exactly what it means to be an SEC institution. Sanctuary city doesn't track with either of those. And so that term means different things to different people depending on the context of the discussion," Girtz said.

Girtz continued, "many of the aspects that are ascribed to sanctuary cities, are things that are disallowed by Georgia law. And we contribute a document every year to the Georgia Department of Audits indicating that we do not correspond to these definitions under state law."

And no policies have been adopted by the mayor and commission that have created sanctuary city status in Athens," Girtz added.

That is not even the worst thing he has said in the past 24 hours. If that makes you mad, get ready because everything else is going to make you infuriated.

Girtz said that he "cautioned against conflating immigration and crime," adding that "the data demonstrates that the two are not connected," later urging the White House and lawmakers to take action on addressing the border crisis.

One of the protestors held a sign referencing a resolution signed by Girtz in 2019, which states that the local government "is welcoming to people from all lands and backgrounds and strives to foster a community where individuals and families of all statuses feel safe, are able to prosper and can breathe free," according to 11 Alive.

The resolution added that white nationalists and xenophobes "have been emboldened by some politicians and members of the media."

The mayor signed the resolution in support of "immigrant and undocumented neighbors, especially those of Latinx heritage," and vowing that the city would protect them from ICE.

I am pretty sure we all agree with the protestors. This man’s lack of self-awareness and support of asinine policies invites these sorts of situations into the country in the first place. And he is actively choosing to look the other way and act as if this situation was inevitable.

The data most definitely shows that illegal immigration leads to some of the worst crimes in existence. It mostly definitely is correlated and it's a lie to say otherwise.

Let’s get this straight. All of this is Trump’s fault for something he said in 2019. That makes absolutely no sense and just shows how pathetic they all are considering that is the best argument he has got.

These people are so far gone down the progressive bandwagon that they physically cannot admit that illegal immigration is bad, as they essentially mock the victims of these crimes that should have never happened.
