To paraphrase journeyman blogger Caleb Howe, thoughts and prayers to all the champagne DC elite leftists posting selfies from frou-frou dinners and patting each other on the back about how safe D.C. is for THEM. Meanwhile, carjackings were reduced by 87% over last year, thanks to the efforts of one man... Donald J. Trump.

Not that DC Mayor Muriel Bowser was full of praise. She still had to claim Trump launching the surge was bad because something something "DC is free." But she still had to admit that she greatly appreciated the surge that caused crime in DC to plummet.

She may not have mentioned the person responsible by name, but I know that you know that I know that you know.

We greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what MPD has been able to do in this city. The most significant thing that we are highlighting today is the area of crime that was most troubling for us in 2023 ... for carjackings, the difference between this period, this 20-day period of this federal surge, and last year represents a 87% reduction in carjackings in Washington, D.C. We know that when carjackings go down, when the use of gun goes down, when homicide or robbery go down, neighborhoods feel safer and are safer,. So this surge has been important to us for that reason.

This puts the Democrat Party in yet another precarious, Trump-orchestrated position. Because Trump declared himself anti-crime, they had to pretend crime isn't a real thing. Now voters are seeing a) results, and b) that they, too, would like to feel safe leaving their house. Or, since these are mainly urban areas, their glorified closet that they call studio apartments.

The next step is to pass Donald Trump's new crime bill. Or, at least get it through the House, where it will be filibustered in the Senate. Ideally, you'd want to pass it and sign it into law. But short of that, campaigning in the midterms that Democrats don't want to keep you safe, from a political standpoint, provides an excellent consolation prize.

Fair play to Mike Spies; he admits to just being a journalismer. He's not saying this as a policymaker. He's just a progressive journalismer saying out loud what all progressives believe AND what their actual goals are when they call for gun... not control, but "reform." But all it takes is a handful of TikTok accounts saying the same before it becomes the Democrat Party platform.

No more market testes acceptable "gun reform" messaging like throwing the word "assault" before words. Straight up gun control, including handguns, like in the UK and Australia.

Whether or not you like it, the only thing that really works, if you really wanted to bring down gun violence, was to do what Australia did and to do what many other countries in Europe do. I realize I will get so much hate mail over this. People will tell me that I'm a communist and all these other things.

Apropos of nothing, I always enjoy it when people bring up the UK. The sacastic anti-gun control thing here in the States is that if you ban guns, people will use knives, and then the government will demand knife control. That's LITERALLY what happened in the UK:

If and once Democrats make this their official campaign message, a UK-style ban that includes handguns, at least we can have an honest debate about what their goal has always been. And then they can make the case to the American people outside of the handful of elitist bubbles they live in.

Because while they may pick up a percentage point in the emotional immediate aftermath of a tragedy, once reality sets in, the last thing Americans want is laws that will make it harder for them to protect themselves and their families and to be made criminals for wanting to do so.

As you saw today, a deranged trans shooter targeted innocent Christian children once again. This time, at a Catholic church in Minneapolis.

Eerily similar to the 2023 Nashville shooting, today’s horrific events showed that the Minneapolis shooter was transgender, had a DEEP HATRED for Christian children, and wrote a terrifying manifesto before acting on his despicably violent impulses.

And just like in 2023 with the Nashville Manifesto, Louder with Crowder, while streaming on Rumble, was the FIRST media organization to report on the contents of the Minneapolis trans manifesto.

You read that right.

LWC was the first media outlet to tie the shooter’s identity to the manifesto – A FULL TWO HOURS BEFORE CNN EVEN TOUCHED THE STORY.

It’s ridiculously clear now.

Donald Trump is taking his common-sense law and order reforms from Washington DC to Chicago. So CNN is taking the Democrat talking point of "but ackshually, crime is down" from DC to Chiraq. Much like when Democrats pointed to a pie chart to try to convince voters that the economic issues they were struggling through weren't real, the plan is to convince people living in violent, crime-ridden cesspools that, as cities stop reporting crime data, the crime rate has been going down.

Like today, when CNN confronted a woman on the street who thinks the Mayor and the Governor should be more open to Trump's help, since their plan of doing nothing hasn't been making the streets feel safer.

CNN: The crime has dropped since 2024. Do you feel like the city is safer?

WOMAN: No. Not at all. Especially with the police being defunded.

It's all fun with numbers. It's Gavin Newsom's social media interns tweeting about crime rates in "red states," pretending that the crime isn't predominantly in cities that have been under complete Democrat control for decades. Now it's time to try it in Chicago, where it was accepted as a violent, crime-ridden cesspool until Donald Trump said he wanted to do something about it.

On a related note, this quote from last week keeps percolating: "Donald Trump has some of the best political instincts of any politician..."
