David McLain picked up his 2nd endorsement from a former rival in the race for Tulsa County Republican Party Chairman. Last night Allen Branch officially ended his 2nd effort to become chairman and this time he did so with confidence that David McLain is the right person to fill the post. Branch notified media of his decision and added; "David and I share the same committment to rebuild the proper role of the precinct organizations. He will build the party and restore a level of cooperation which is desperately needed right now." Previously, Terry Flattem, a retired veteran and IT specialist, withdrew from the race for chair and instead delared his candidacy for vice chair, so that he could better assist McLain in the party headquarters for the next 2 years. Precincts met Feb. 16th and selected delegates to represent them at the County Convention scheduled for this Saturday, at the Jenks High School auditorium. McLain is a Tulsa businessman and serves as pastor of a local congregation, north of Tulsa. |
