In the far south OKC metro district serving Norman & Noble, OK, The Democrat got out the votes in massive numbers. Over 5000 voters went to the polls. 60% of them voted for Jacob Rosecrants.
Last fall, Rosecrants lost the race by the same percentage, but there were 18,000 total ballots cast that time. This event strengthens the Democrat position in negotiating a budget fix in the special session, later this month. The special session was made necessary when Scott Martin decided to quit serving, just months after the Republican Party helped him earn another term in office.

By special election standards, this election had a much higher turnout than several others held this year.
