On the last regular day to raise revenue increases, begins at the state capitol, Budget & Appropriations Chair, Senator Clark Jolley, is faced with a House amendment to his plan for closing the budget deficit by over $100 million.
Yesterday, Rep. Ownbey of Ada successfully amended the Oil & Gas credit for at-risk wells, while the bill was on the House floor. This will continue to keep $25 million flowing to the assistance of the petroleum industry.
There will be a Senate vote again, on the bill with the amended house language. It is likely that the bill will end up in a joint House/Senate conference for further negotiating.
