The world has a bunch of folks getting worked up about celebrities and athletes who buck the values of traditional America. | It started this week when the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers stated he no longer stands for the pregame national anthem. Colin Kaepernick cited race relations and treatment of blacks as his 'beef'. But then this photo of the New York State Senate showed up. Seems others in political office are also not standing for what appears to be some formal pledge, salute, or other recognition of patriotic loyalty. The difference is that these lawmakers are on the New York govt. payroll and making laws for the rest of the people to conform their lives to. Entertainers and professional athletes live in a highly competitive world where they work hard, demonstrate discipline, and still have no guarantees of earning a dime.
