 I sometimes like the idea that lawmakers should wear the same coveralls that NASCAR drivers do. With sponsorship patches of sizes commensurate with the level of contributions received.
  The difference is that corporations love to promote athletics, but want to hide their policy initiatives.
  Politicians want us to believe the gifts were a result of the lawmaker's convictions, rather than a core ingredient in developing the convictions.
  At the state level, the job pays too little to be worth the average campaign expenditure to get elected.  But the power to control public policy can be well worth a 6-figure expenditure, for a billion dollar industry.

Can We Make Any Sense Out Of The Publicity Stunt At the University of Oklahoma?

Here's our best understanding of what led to this so-called hunger strike by some publicity-seeking students.
  1. A professor was discussing various forms of bigotry, and trying to help young students understand that bigotry toward another generation is also a harmful antisocial behavior.
  2. He said that "Boomer" could be as insulting as a racial epithet.
  3. He then started listing the epithets.
  4. It worked too well.
  5. Now the ignunt thought police who rule the university found out another professor had the gaul to have a similar instructive discussion, but the repressive forces are in a hissy fit.
  In a continent far away, and about 500 years ago; there was a great achievement beginning. It was called 'renaissance' or 'the enlightenment'.
  Little by little, people regained their liberty by throwing off the oppressions of the thought police and speech police.
It was a new era which led to universities being able to study science and philosophy without the retributions of organized religion breathing down their necks. 
  Today, those institutions of higher learning have become the homes of the new repressions and speech police.

  This morning some of the finest Oklahomans are assembling together in worship, encouragement, & exhortation.
 But still other broken, hurting, and shunned Oklahomans are saying good bye to the only friends they've had for several years.
Prison Chapels are holding services and saying good bye to hundreds who won't be at next Sunday's service. They're embarking on a very scary journey back into Oklahoma society. But what kind of society will accept them?
  Governor Stitt is signing over 500 commutations and sending nonviolent offenders back into society. The offenses these folks have been punished for, are no longer felonies and had they committed those offenses today, they would not receive more than 12 months of incarceration at their local county lockup.
  Here's my challenge to all Oklahoma faith communities. "Ask your congregations to slip a note to the pastoral staff, informing the leadership that a loved one is getting out of prison."
  Then the pastoral staff can discretely meet with the family and hear their hearts, their worries, their new dreams. Find out if employment is going to be a new need. Perhaps simple living arrangements.. even if the need is only temporary. Maybe some home furnishings and wardrobe will be needed? Or a few calls to employers attending the church, to help give the man or woman an occupational opportunity that they can reasonably find success in.
  It doesn't matter what your creed is. This call goes out to all the historic faiths and even the atheists. Be part of the solution. Govt. can't do this. But the people of Oklahoma can.

But the account became a tool of weasel warfare when Donald Trump got the nomination.
In the years since 2016, Romney has gotten his jollies by trashing the president with this cool new tool of self satisfaction without any accountability for his words. How sweet is that!
 But eventually Mitt needed more of a thrill, so he ramped up the 'tough guy trash talk'.
  Pierre could be everything that Mitt is not. Bold! Fearless! Blunt! Judgmental!
  This weekend Mitt fessed up. And took the Twitter acct. private. (more weasel)

Mitt Romney used a fake acct, to praise himself and trash Trump.
“C’est moi,” Romney told The Atlantic shortly after Slate’s piece was published.
Romney has since made the account private, but among the profile’s tweets were comments defending the senator.
In one tweet, the account fires back at journalist Soledad O’Brien for accusing him of having an “utter lack of a moral compass.”
“Only Republican to hit Trump on Meuller [sic] report, only one to hit Trump on character time and again, so Soledad, you think he’s the one without a moral compass?” the tweet said, according to Slate.

  But a group of 'never-trumpers' are turning to the novelty of the distinctive 3"x5" booklets as a way of catching the attention of a particular demographic who votes religiously (the 55+ crowd).

In January 2017, right around the time of President Trump’s inauguration, a group of Seattle friends (an artist, a doctor and a few others — who grew up in a variety of faith backgrounds) got together for a dinner party. Everyone was miserable.
“It was just people sitting around feeling broken,” said Barry, one of the friends, who asked to be identified by his first name. The reality of Trump’s new presidency and concern about worst-case scenarios (which could change the lives of their friends, patients, of immigrants, Muslims and whomever else was vulnerable to Trump supporters’ most extreme and least charitable impulses) hung over the table like a ghoul. “It was just shock and worry,” Barry said, “asking ourselves: ‘What should we do?'”
“I don’t even like thinking about how I felt then,” said Kathryn Rathke, the artist. “It really was kind of hysterical, the panic.” Among them, everybody in the group felt like they’d exhausted their options to resist the rise of President Trump: volunteering, donating, protesting, networking.
Then inspiration struck: Chick tracts. Why not write and draw a parody of Chick-tract-style cartoons, but with a twist? Instead of the scare-’em-straight evangelical Christianity of the originals, they could make wry but serious cartoons about a different kind of wayward soul, a sorta-kinda Trump-ish character, then circulate them around the country. It would be satire in the classic mold of Jonathan Swift or Stephen Colbert — humorous, with a strong undercurrent of real-life urgency.
For those unfamiliar with Chick tracts, a quick primer: In the 1960s, an evangelical Christian named Jack Chick started making and circulating pocket-size cartoons for distribution wherever potential sinners lingered: libraries, bus stops, train stations, college campuses. The tracts (which often featured graphic, gruesome tortures in hell and on Earth) took aim at anyone who didn’t fit Chick’s mid-20th-century, fundamentalist Christian mold: gay people, marijuana smokers, teens who played Dungeons & Dragons, kids who went trick-or-treating on Halloween, Muslims, Mormons. (One tract, titled “The Death Cookie,” claims the Catholic sacrament of communion was invented by Satan.)
According to its 2019 sales catalog, Chick Publications has sold more than 900 million tracts since its start in 1961. The No. 1 best-seller, “This Was Your Life” (in which an angel takes a man’s soul to watch a movie version of his life, then tosses him into a lake of fire), has been translated into 119 languages, including Burmese, Low German, and various versions of Sotho and Hmong.
“They’re just sad little tracts,” Barry said. “Insanely negative, no nuance, screaming all the time, a lot of hating others.” Which, he said, made them a fitting inspiration. “The Trump administration feels like a Chick tract. It’s all so loud. When I think back to somebody I disagreed with in the past, President George H.W. Bush, at least there was some nuance. Now it’s all yelling and cartoons.”
“The idea took hold right away,” Rathke said. “Most things the Chick tracts address is so much hyperbole, fire and brimstone — but in this case it seemed to fit: ‘OK guys, we have a real fire-and-brimstone situation. This is serious.'”

  The audible pyrotechnics master of rhetoric, Milo Yiannopoulis; feels that Tulsa is ready for his first visit and conversation on culture, politics, and anthropology. His social media operation first announced the itinerary option last Thursday.  The young British author made a name for himself in 2016, during the presidential campaign. He's especially known for his college campus events where he boldly takes on socialism, feminism, and other topics.
  The administration of Tulsa Community College sought to discredit Milo even as they acknowledged that they must accommodate him.
 Tulsa University seems to have completely banned Milo from their campus. The private college is not required to be opened to conservative events or people, and they chose to remain closed-minded for the sake of their students' proper indoctrination.
  The most likely venue to hear Milo will be at the S.E. campus performing arts center. A date was not posted, yet.
  Conservatives, especially younger authors who engage in the cultural discourse; often frustrate leftist powerful entities. They demonstrate the hypocrisy & intolerance of the colleges and the harm they do to society.

Many colleges and leftist groups believe Milo is too dangerous for society to hear. While Yiannopoulis is a strong voice against any form of violence, he and his attendees have been the target of very violent attacks from Antifa and other leftist sympathizers of socialist intolerance.
 Milo is a younger, masculine version of Ann Coulter. They are verbal 'flamethrowers who occasionally need to publish apologies or clarifications. That risk just comes with the job description of being an edgy and witty conservative whom the main stream media, socialist groups, gender identity activists, and other social justice warriors are trying to remove from the realm of allowable voices in society.
  Antifa has especially targeted Milo Yiannopoulis. Particularly when he visited Berkeley University, shortly after Trump's election. Antifa is a violent socialist incarnation of Hitler's "brown shirts". 
 Milo presents a quandary for intersectionalist entitlement dogma, because he is a homosexual & claims that he was repeatedly molested as a young boy.
  When he takes on militant feminism, many feminists resort to shouting him down rather than calmly responding to his articulate points.
  Milo is a former contributor to Breitbart News, and InfoWars. He has also collaborated with Gavin McInnes and other mens' groups.

  I've been reading up on some bizarre local customs from those who've traveled around the world. It seems they're pretty uptight about some things.  A couple of guys in Indonesia have a really cool website called IDN Times.

​ Although only visiting other countries as tourists, it would be better if we could respect the rules of their country. Reporting from Bright Side, these are things that should not be done while in the following seven countries.

 1. Singapore
  Singapore is a country with a low crime rate. They are also strict in rules and always maintain cleanliness. One of the rules is the prohibition on eating gum.

  If you break it, you will be required to pay a fine of $ 1,000 (Rp.14 million). There is also a ban on feeding birds, eating on public transportation, spitting, and throwing garbage randomly on the streets.
 2. Chilli
 For the country of Chilli, manners are very important. One example is the prohibition of licking fingers after eating or eating by hand.

  This regulation applies even to small meals, such as french fries. I want you to have to eat with a fork.
 3. Turkey

  A very important little thing that you should pay attention to when visiting Turkey is not to give the "okay" finger symbol to just anyone.

 For Turks, this symbol is considered an obscene and disrespectful gesture.

 That's because there are no formal conversations, such as the call of the master or mistress. They prefer to immediately call on the interlocutor's first name.

 This morning a retired publisher in Fort Lauderdale was awakened by a fully armed assault unit which had been tasked with serving papers for the arraignment of charges for telling a falsehood to a congressional committee.
  Despite there being no indicator of violence, the assault team swarmed the retirement home at 0600 and allowed CNN plenty of time to set up cameras to film the event.
  Evidently our kind and sensitive peace officers want us to share this message with a scared and timid public.
If it wasn't for the surplus our industrial military war complex, our community peace officers would not have the needed tools to serve court papers.
