The problem with claiming that trans women, aka men, belong in women’s sports is that that notion destroys the premise and integrity of the entire system. That, combined with the fact that even naive cavemen knew men were different, proves how delusional many people in professional female sports are. Aryna Sabalenka is not one of those people.
Sabalenka, the top female tennis player in the world, was asked her opinions on gender testing in the Women's Tennis Association. She said it was very important to keep sports fair, and that it is obvious to anyone with eyes that men are stronger than women.
“I support it, but for me I am focusing on myself,” Sabalenka said, adding that she is happy to undergo the testing because “it is pretty fair.” And the fact that many people have a problem with this is truly astonishing.
This comes after the interweb started recommending that the WNBA recruit French basketball player Julie Tétart. The problem with this is that Tétart is a man. And considering many coaches in the league don't care about that, it would not be shocking if they did recruit him.
The fact that we are even having these conversations is incredible, and so incredibly embarrassing. Anyone who defends men in women's sports has lost all credibility. Clearly, society still has a lot of work to do.
