It’s crazy that progressives can take something that shouldn’t be the least bit controversial, and make it controversial. And because the left is so beholden to their woke ideology, they could care less if it harms vulnerable people as long as they get to make their lack of a point.

We all know that at least several states have regulated or banned “gender-affirming care” for minors. Part of the reason for this is that most sane people don’t believe that a 16-year-old can “consent” to a medically unnecessary double mastectomy. You would think that no one would ever have a problem with this. But because the left has no real argument as to why these things shouldn't be banned, they will just scream a bunch of platitudes in an attempt to gaslight the masses.

In fact, “gender-affirming care” is so abhorrent that even the U.K. could not condone it any longer. So while the NHS has banned puberty blockers and other Frankenstein procedures for minors, the City of Sacramento has turned itself into a “trance sanctuary state.”

According to the Daily Mail:

Sacramento officials have voted to become a sanctuary city for transgender people - as multiple Republican states have started banning so-called gender-affirming care for children.

California's capital is the first in the state to vote for such legislation after the bill introduced by councilmember Katie Valenzuela was unanimously approved by City Council.

Sacramento follows Ithaca, New York, which has also passed similar legislation.

'California has been a leader in protecting the rights of transgender individuals to access care, but many states across the nation are moving in the opposite direction,' the local official said, as reported by Fox40.

'In preparation of future legislation that may criminalize those providing or seeking gender-affirming care and given the Council’s stated values of equity and inclusion, it is important for the City of Sacramento to be proactive in reiterating our commitment to transgender rights and equal protections for transgender people.'

There is no “right” to a medically unnecessary and arguably, harmful procedure. We must prevent vulnerable people from accessing that. But rather than protect kids from one day making a decision they might regret, Sacramento has done all it can to ensure that they are “inclusive.” Because as long as you “include” the option for a minor to block their puberty, that is considered to be compassionate by their standards.

But none of that is compassionate. It’s anything but that. Convincing someone to medically transition their body to match what they “feel” in their mind is deranged, to say the very least. So while people on the right think the proper treatment for gender dysphoria is to match the mind with the body, the left has a reprehensible approach that they think is worthy of being called a "sanctuary"

To say these people have lost their minds would be an understatement.

Today I learned that they don’t have jeans in North Korea because it is supposed to be a symbol of American imperialism. Unclear why North Korean officials hate denim so much but they are tyrants and these people are going to do whatever it is that they do.

In other news, North Korea shockingly allowed a British gardening show to be watched. However, they blurred out the pants so citizens would not get any smart ideas by seeing an Englishman wear jeans.

Also, I doubt people do much gardening in the country considering the amount of people who die from starvation but due to the lack of entertainment in North Korea, I wouldn't complain if I were them.

According to CNN:

North Korea’s state broadcaster, KCTV, has blurred out a pair of jeans worn by veteran British TV host Alan Titchmarsh as part of the country’s censorship of foreign fashion and culture.

KCTV carried an episode of Titchmarsh’s show “Garden Secrets,” originally aired on the BBC in 2010, on Monday.
At one point he can be seen kneeling in a flowerbed, and keen-eyed viewers will notice that the lower half of his body has been blurred to obscure the jeans he is wearing.

Titchmarsh told the BBC that the censorship had given him some “street cred.”

“I’ve never seen myself as a dangerous subversive imperialist - I’m generally regarded as rather cosy and pretty harmless, so actually it’s given me a bit of street cred really hasn’t it?” he said.

Did anyone else read that quote with a British accent?

Nam Sung-wook, a professor of North Korean Studies at Korea University in Seoul, told CNN that the censorship shows North Korea is strictly implementing the newly adopted Reactionary Ideology and Culture Rejection Act.

“The act aims to prohibit North Korean residents from imitating foreign countries in various aspects, including how they’re dressed and speak,” he said.

He added that jeans have been banned for residents as a symbol of American imperialism, but some flexibility has been applied to foreign visitors because they can’t prevent them from wearing jeans.

Peter Ward, a research fellow at the Sejong Institute in South Korea, said the censorship is part of a fight against “anti-socialist culture and ideology.”

“Blue jeans are associated with ‘decadent’ Western culture, as they were in the Soviet Union, and Kim Jong Il ordered officials to rid the country of them back in the 1990s,” he said.

Honestly, the most shocking thing about this story is that North Koreans watch Alan Titchmarsh.

But it’s not a new phenomenon that Socialists hate jeans. The same was true for the USSR. There was even a black marketfor it. People went to prison for “trafficking” denim. It’s not clear exactly what the punishment for wearing jeans in North Korea is but it’s probably even worse than anyone can imagine.

It's not surprising that tyrants who run socialist countries despise nice things. Even though jeans are as mediocre as something can get. But anything that brings comfort is not something these people want. And this is yet another example of those that censor things are often on the wrong side of history.

Raising penalties has been an effective deterrent to crime since the beginning of time. It does not even take half of a brain to know this. But many elected officials in New York don’t have what you would call a "sound mind." And ironically, that is because they don’t even have a fraction of a brain.

The New York Assembly Speaker refuses to back the governor's efforts to toughen up on crime because he claims it will not do much of anything.

According to the New York Post:

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie shut down Gov. Kathy Hochul’s plan to toughen up penalties for thugs who attack retail workers — saying Tuesday he didn’t think it’d crack down on crime.

Heastie told reporters that lawmakers and the governor should not address criminal sentencing as part of negotiations over the state’s massive spending package in a blow to Hochul’s agenda.

“I just don’t believe raising penalties is ever a deterrent on crime,” Heastie said.

“I don’t want to make it sound like we’re not concerned about stemming what’s happened to retail workers,” he added. “We care very deeply about that. We just have other ideas of how to get there.

“If you just keep dealing with the penalties, what happens after people get arrested? You’re still only worrying about what happens after something has already happened.”

If progressives would just keep criminals in jail then they would not have to keep arresting them but I digress.

Why should people care what happens to them after they are released? That sounds like a personal problem. We should be caring about the rights of victims, women, children, and just about everyone but the rights of recidivists.

Hochul’s budget called for a crackdown on an explosion of retail theft including jacking up penalties for people who assault retail workers as well as investments in state police and district attorneys teams to go after the biggest crooks.

Heastie said he was still open to part of Hochul’s plan that sought to cut off organized rings that coordinate the thefts and sell large amounts of stolen goods.

If I did not know any better, I would say that he might even be claiming that the tougher the sentence is, the more likely thugs are to commit crimes. But I digress.

I have an idea. How about we enforce the laws that were already in place before theft became de facto legal? How about that?

And it’s incredibly stupid to claim that “ raising penalties” is not a crime deterrent since the status quo is not working. Obviously, something needs to change.

It is pretty typical for progressives to claim that they are concerned with getting to the "root cause" of crime. But in reality, we know the cause of crime. It is the victimization of criminality and the condoning of lawlessness that contributes to this. In other words, a lack of morals from both the criminals and the officials the criminals vote for.

That said, Heastie does not care about any of this. He does not even pretend to care. These are the type of people New Yorkers are dealing with and the worst part about it is that the most vulnerable and innocent members of society will suffer because of it.

One of the most annoying things the left does is take weird preferences and turn them into “sexualities.” A perfect example of this is Asexual, which is allegedly “a term used to describe someone who does not experience sexual attraction toward individuals of any gender.” It is unclear why it is exactly that progressives do things like this but it’s not surprising considering their obsession with labels and putting people into groups, as well as their desperation to make themselves the least bit relevant.

A sexual orientation centered around the seductiveness of nature has drawn eye-rolls from social media users, mocking people who have reportedly fallen in love with trees.

The term ‘ecosexual’ is the state of finding nature sexually appealing, whether that means feeling at one with nature’s ‘energy’ or physically caressing nature.

A sexual health coach on TikTok described ‘ecosexuality’ as an umbrella term for people who ‘treat nature as a sensual partner.’

But stories such as the Toronto woman who embarked on an ‘erotic’ relationship with an oak tree and a clip on the British TV show Naked Attraction in which a cast member calls herself an ecosexual have garnered social media responses like ‘Society is doomed’ and ‘Why aren’t people like this being locked up? Or getting treated?’

I never thought I would ever see the words “erotic” and “oak tree” in the same sentence but here we are in 2024, where anything is possible.

The ecosexuality tag on TikTok has been viewed more than 470,000 times, with videos showing people taking freezing cold plunges in creeks, caressing lemons, and rubbing themselves against trees.

We have read enough. I will never not know this and I don’t know how I will get through the rest of my day. Nature is not “sexy” and these people are the definition of deranged.

This is what happens when you condone mental illness. This is also why shame is a good thing. Things like this and people like them need to be shamed to the fullest extent. This is disgusting and a whole new level of debauchery that no one thought was possible.

Joe Rogan has the most popular podcast on Spotify. But the mob does not like that because he gives people a platform for ideas that they cannot compete with. They hate that. But although the cancel mob gets its voice through leftist media outlets, most rational people are not like that. There is a reason the podcast is so popular and nothing the cancel mob says will change that.

And when you don’t bow down to the mob, they get angrier. Dana White knows this and he seems to disagree with this. That is why he indicated that he would have resigned if they fired Rogan over the Spotify nonsense back in 2022.

Dana White once threatened to resign to save Joe Rogan’s job.

Back in 2022, Rogan came under fire when a video surfaced compiling old episodes of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, where Rogan said the “N-word” several times. This, coupled with claims that Rogan promoted “dangerous misinformation” about COVID-19 on his podcast, put many companies in business with him, including the UFC, under pressure to part ways with Rogan. Ultimately, the whole incident blew over, but when there did seem to be a threat that Joe Rogan might lose his commentary job with the UFC, Dana White stepped in.

The funny thing about that is that most of the “dangerous misinformation” the media cried about ended up being true, and it turns out the loudest dissenters over free speech and COVID were the most inaccurate. But when you follow "the science" instead of actual science, you must resort to censorship because that is the only way those ideas could hold up.

Speaking on the Lex Fridman podcast this week, Fridman recounted a story to White about how he was with Rogan when White called Rogan and told the comedian that he would resign if Rogan was ousted.

“Anybody who is with me, has been with me, knows: when you’re with me, you’re with me,” White said. “It’s a two-way street, it’s not a one-way street. I’m not one of these guys that is just going to roll over. It’s like going through COVID, I wasn’t laying any of these people [off] — some of these people have been with me for 20 years, we’re going to lay them off? This motherf***** will burn, burn before I do that to my people.

“It’s just never — none of that type of stuff is going to happen while I’m here. I can’t say what’s going to happen when I leave, but when I’m here, the people who are with me and have been with me, they know exactly what’s up. And Joe knows what’s up. And again it’s a two-way street. Joe Rogan has been very loyal to me, and I am very loyal to Joe Rogan.”

The only thing more pathetic than the mob is a company or individual who bows down to the mob. But Dana White is not one of the people who acquiesce to woke demands.

More often than not, the ones who are the loudest about silencing those whom you disagree with are often on the wrong side of history. Because as the evidence shows, the stronger the effort to censor, the more likely it is that you are defending an evil ideology.

There are some stories where you just have to sit back and enjoy the beef. Chris Cuomo calling out Joe Scarbrough and Mika Brzezinski for being anti-GOP, anti-Trump hypocrites is one of them.

The backstory: NBC News hired Trump's former handpicked RNC Chair Ronna McDaniels as an on-air contributor. NBC News journalismers went bananas that they might have to work with a Republican. Yes, the same network that hired Joe Biden's former press secretary Jen Psaki to cover Joe Biden's attempt at reelection. NBC News decided to fire McDaniels and is begging reporters for forgiveness.

Among those most sanctimonious about it were Joe and Mika. As Chris Cuomo points out, in 2015-16 when the media was giving Trump about two billion dollars in free press, Joe and Mika gave him a residency on Morning Joe. And I know what you're thinking. Joe and Mika? Sanctimonious? And coming from Chris Cuomo? As I said from the beginning, enjoy the beef.

Look, I have no beef. But it was okay for you, Mika and Joe, to have Trump on all the time, and to talk to him about what questions to ask, right? When it was working for you, when he was running, right? When you guys were all pals, that was okay, right? You didn't have any problem with that, right? Just because you went bad on him when it became convenient because you work at a lefty outlet, this is okay, now you can be high-minded about it, right? The hypocrisy reeks.

It was insane. I remember the day after Ted Cruz won the Wisconsin primary, Joe and Mika spent the next show attacking him for it and sh*tting on the win, since Trump was going to win New York the next week. Even though, Cruz got more votes in Wisconsin than Trump got in New York. They also had it out for Marco Rubio, who at one point was running neck and neck against Trump in New Hampshire (until DebateGate). Joe and Mika were MAGA before MAGA was cool.

New York City is being run by a bunch of progressives who condone lawlessness and loathe law-abiding citizens. And it turns out that when you do all that on top of villainizing and defunding the police department, you get Gotham City which was once known as The Big Apple.

Subsequently, a police officer was tragically killed in a "senseless act of violence" by a career criminal. Because that is what happens when you enable a culture of criminality and criminalize lawfulness. That is so blatant that even a five-year-old would have predicted it.

Progressive cannot be bothered to do anything unless it is politically motivated or makes a good PR move for them. This is why they don’t care about an innocent man who dedicated his life to protecting the people the City Council despises. This is also why the head of the police union has warned the council to not even bother showing up with their crocodile tears to use this tragedy as a photo op.

According to the New York Post:

The New York City Sergeants Benevolent Association has warned city council members to skip slain Officer Jonathan Diller’s funeral this weekend — and accused them of being complicit in his “completely avoidable death.”

SBA president Vincent J. Vallelong predicted in a missive Wednesday that city council members who show up to the father of one’s funeral in Massapequa Park on Saturday would “shed a few crocodile tears” and use the event as a “good photo opportunity.”

“The Council members who are vehemently and inexplicably against public safety are responsible for the carnage in the streets and the heartbreak brought about by PO Diller’s completely avoidable death,” Vallelong insisted.

Diller, 31, was gunned down allegedly by career criminal Guy Rivera, 34, during a traffic stop in Queens on Monday evening.

Vallelong said that in the wake of the killing, he has “anger directed at those who have forsaken the rules and systems of law, thereby emboldening the criminal element to unprecedented proportions.”

The only thing worse than a lack of empathy for innocent victims of progressive dystopia is fake empathy by those who encouraged and cheered on this mess.

These people don’t get to weaken your city, encourage criminality, and use the avoidable mess that they created to assist in some fake media campaign. That is so pathetic and no one will be fooled by such abhorrent nonsense.

The City Council did not pull the trigger on the cop but they whipped the flag in front of policies that got the suspect to the finish line. Thus, blood is also on their hands.

Just take a look at Councilmember Tiffany Cabán. Look at the insanity New Yorkers must deal with.

Yes, she claimed it's “copaganda” to say that someone with over 100 arrests is a “scary violent criminal” and that statement is supposed meant to intimidate and “scare the public.”

She also equates a long rap sheet to poverty and alleges it has nothing to do with criminality.

Are we to assume that the career criminal who killed an innocent father and police officer did that because he allegedly lived in poverty?

It would be an understatement to claim that was a bit of a stretch.

The most infuriating part about what Cabán said is that career criminals are the ones who commit violent crimes and it was someone with a long rap sheet who killed an innocent police officer. But she does not care because she believes that funds would be better spent on “social services.” That is her solution to the zombie apocalypse her ideology helped create. She believes that is the most logical way to “improve safety.”

It is not so much that she is so mentally incompetent and naive that makes this infuriating. It’s that there are enough people who are less competent than her that she got enough votes to get elected.

But someone like her who is so beholden to this deranged ideology could likely not even be bothered to pretend to care. Faking some crocodile tears would not be on the agenda for this one.

It is this culture of lawlessness that creates an environment that exponentially increases the number of victims. Thus, blood is on their hands.

Congratulations go out to Vicki Piper. Ms. Piper is a competitive weightlifter who won her first national weightlifting event in the women's division and who also used to be a man born with all the natural and biological strength advantages men have. At this point, it was not a glass ceiling-shattering performance. Women born as men have been destroying so much of the competition in women's (and girls') athletic contests, there's nothing special about it anymore.

Vicki won the 76-kilogram weight category, which is a little over 165 pounds in normal American units of measurement. The way it works, there is are two lifts: a snatch and a clean and jerk. The heaviest lift is recorded. To be clear, "jerk" refers to a type of lift and not what you would call a man who robs women of opportunities. A "snatch" is a type of lift too, as opposed to... you know, the thing.

Everyone involved is a grown adult. And the second and third-place competitors have big smiles on their faces, so maybe they are happy to have championships and prize money stolen from them in the name of inclusion and other gay stuff like equity. If they're not outraged, I'm not going to get outraged on their behalf.

The store reminds me of the tale of Laurel Hubbard. Laurel used to be a MID male weightlifter named Gavin Hubbard. Then he became a she, and they started to smash all the women's competition. Laurel shattered a glass ceiling becoming the first trans competitor in the Olympics.

Laurel then shattered another glass ceiling, becoming the first trans competitor to choke in the Olympics. It led to one of the all-time awkward press conferences with the three real girls who ackshually won medals.

We here are not sure what is next for Vicki Piper. But the sky is the limit, as long as decency, fairness, and standards are considered "transphobic" in 2024.

As usual, the Leader of the Free World has got his memories and thoughts mixed up in his lack of a brain, as evidenced by his pathetic attempt at a speech.

We can only imagine what Sleepy Joe's morning was like. But we do know that at some point he was informed that the Bridge in Baltimore collapsed and that he would be required to get out of bed today to attend a press briefing where he was thrown a bunch of softball questions.

During a press conference when President Joe Biden announced the federal government would fund the entire repair of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, he claimed he had taken a commuter rail on the bridge "many many times" even though it did not have any rail lines.

Biden told reporters he took the bridge "many many times commuting from the state of Delaware either by train or by car" in the presser.

It is unclear if he is genuinely senile, a liar, or a combination of both. But I leaning towards the combination. However, we are just glad he did not confuse it with the Golden Gate Bridge.

The gaffe adds to a number of others the president has had in recent years. He also announced that the bridge would be paid entirely by the federal government.

"We're going to get it up and running again as soon as possible. 15,000 jobs depend on that port. And we're going to do everything we can to protect those jobs," Biden told reporters at the White House.

"It's my intention that the federal government will pay for the entire cost of reconstructing that bridge, and I expect the Congress to support my effort." Biden added. "The people of Baltimore can count on us to stick with them at every step of the way."

In other words, taxpayers will foot the bill.

How much of that bridge do you think will be built by the time the election comes around in Nov.? Because I doubt it will be “up and running again as soon as possible” as he claimed.

Biden further added that he would not wait for an investigation to see who was at fault in the collapse of the bridge when a reporter inquired about the fault of the shipping company in charge of the boat.

"We’re not going to wait for that to happen. We’re going to prepay to get the bridge built and reopen," he told reporters.

"Everything so far indicates that this was a terrible accident. At this time, we have no other indication, no other reason to believe, there's any intentional act here," the president said.

As always, we are surprised that the man got out of bed this morning. And he did not say that he has plans "to build a railroad from the Pacific across the Indian Ocean." At this point, we will call that a win.
