Jordan Peterson Slams Kamala Harris' Claim America Is United

1/21/2021

Comments

It's funny how America always seems to be "united" when a Democrat administration is sworn in. When it's a Republican president or even a Republican Congress, "America has never been more divided." Now that the orange man is gone and the totally-in-control-of-his-faculties Joe Biden is in charge, America is great again. We're all rainbows and kittens and kumbaya up in here. It's all one of the oldest cliches in politics. So of course, Kamala Harris tweeted about America "united" as if she was having some profound thought.

Jordan Peterson was not amused.

No, you're not. And cliches won't make it so. But maybe you could be again. And you have four years to get it right.
— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) January 20, 2021

They're not off to a good start.

More than half of the country did not vote for Joe Biden. No, that's not a wink or a nod at conspiracy theorists. I'm including the Americans who didn't vote because they're still American citizens. If anything, they show just how united America ISN'T, because a huge group didn't feel either of the two candidates represented them. People in this country have fundamental disagreements on every issue that matters. Both on what the issue is and how to rectify it. I'm fairly certain it's been this way since George Washington's first Cabinet meeting.

Could it change? I guess. As Peterson says, the ball is in Biden/Harris' court. Let's see if they do the work to reach out to pro-lifers, Second Amendment advocates, freelancers who don't want to be forced into a union, people concerned about our borders, people who have science-based questions about allowing biological men to compete against biological women, and people who want to reopen their businesses and be able to support their families.

I have my doubts. My gut tells me they'll just guilt, shame, and other any American who disagrees with them. But I would love to be proved wrong.

Three Examples of Media Already Ignoring Joe Biden's Call for 'Unity'

My plan was to ease my way into the Biden administration. It was a nice plan. This is what people voted for. The best thing to do is to sit back and mock them once they realize what they voted for. I still trust my plan. We're talking about the policies Biden campaigned on while voters were busy shaking their fist at @RealDonaldTrump. Policies I find to be misguided as well as both job- and economy-destroying. What Biden did not campaign on was targeting everyone who disagreed with him as a potential domestic terrorist.

Biden called for unity and an end to "this uncivil war." Not all of his supporters in the media got the memo.

.@JohnBrennan: Biden intel community “are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about" the pro-Trump “insurgency" that harbors “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians" pic.twitter.com/SjVXWhPhR8
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) January 20, 2021

Employees of MSNBC calling for punishment against anyone who is a rival of MSNBC is a nice touch. One could counter that conservative media is speaking "their" truth. Since "your" truth is a thing I thought leftists were all about.

.@NicolleDWallace calls for the permanent expulsion and punishment for any and all forms of conservative media that run counter to her political views. She says Republicans should be BANNED from speaking unless they first speak "the truth."

So, what camp am I going to, Nicolle? pic.twitter.com/h0cpvxitKd

Here's Ben Rhodes. You may remember him from the Obama administration. As well as bragging about exploiting a low-information progressive media echo chamber to push the Iran Deal fame.

Ben Rhodes calls for there to be "years" of a firm and brutal "detox" of "lies" and "hate" from the entire right side of the aisle in America and that it must be done through the use of "national security" and "Homeland Security" officials. pic.twitter.com/PmWtcV2f6k
— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) January 20, 2021

Joe Biden isn't my first new administration. "Unity" is a Latin word meaning "shut up and support the progressive agenda." Which, a) no; b) as far as policies and executive orders, that's what people didn't realize they voted for. In that regard, sit back and laugh as people discover the words "unintended consequences." Treating everyone who disagrees with that agenda as an enemy combatant in a "Domestic War on Terrorism" is something everyone slightly to the right of Rep. AOC should have a vocal problem with.

No, these three people from these three videos don't work for the Biden administration. They are just supporters of that administration and part of a progressive echo chamber where everyone agrees with everyone. Allegedly. Do you know who else is allegedly part of that echo chamber? The people working in the Biden administration. If this is what the left is saying out loud on Day One, let's see what they say next on days two through seven.

Steve Deace Offers Four Words of Advice to Conservatives: Mock Your Opponents Mercilessly

1/20/2021

Joe Biden was sworn in as our 46th president today. You may find yourself unsure what to do about it. With only his illegal immigration plan and a slew of executive orders so far, it sounds as bad as we feared if you're on the right. If you're on the left, it's everything you ever wanted. An obvious reaction to President Biden's agenda is anger. I think Steve Deace has a better idea. Don't get angry. Mock your opponents mercilessly.

Andrew Cuomo Demands $15 Billion from Federal Government ... or Else?

1/20/2021

Comments

One of the first orders of business for the Biden administration is a robust COVID relief package. Robustier than any COVID relief package before. If the robust package were a bust, it would be Dolly Parton. Get it? That's a boob joke. Though a robust "package" could also be a d*ck reference. Speaking of someone who is both a d*ck and a boob, Andrew Cuomo is demanding $15 billion. It's not clear if he's demanding it from the robust package specifically. But it needs to come from the federal government. Or else!

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo had one overriding message Tuesday as he delivered his annual budget address from New York's state Capitol: If Washington doesn't send New York $15 billion as part of a pandemic relief package, he'll have no choice but to slash public payrolls, cut services and raise taxes on the rich.

Andrew Cuomo's record on COVID is mixed. Some point to how oh-so-funny he and his idiot brother are on CNN. Others point to all the Memaws and Pop-Pops who are dead because of his alleged incompetence. As well as numerous examples of other alleged incompetence. Feel free to decide on your own how YOU feel Andrew Cuomo does as a leader and/or a human being. But with Andy's new request, I don't think he knows how threats work.

There are ninety-eight senators who are not from New York. 408 congresspeople from outside the Empire State. I'm going to go out on a limb and say most of them have their own concerns about their own constituents. Most states are struggling. Andy's cries that his state is struggling worser than anyone else will probably fall on deaf ears. As will his claim that he'll take it out on New Yorkers if he doesn't get his money. I don't think this needs an allegedly, but people from outside New York tend not to like people from New York. Though I'd argue they confuse NYC with the rest of the state. People who live in Upstate America are pretty dope.

Andrew Cuomo can demand billions and billions of dollars all he wants. Just don't be surprised if President Biden has a four-word response. "New phone, who dis?"

Song Parody Mocks Gavin Newsom's Alleged Lockdown Hypocrisy

1/20/2021

It's been fun watching the story arc of some politicians during the pandemic. California Governor Gavin Newsom started the lockdowns with girls wanting to wear his name on their underpants. He starts 2021 fighting a recall effort because of the number of Californians who think he sucks at life. In between, I'm sure many Facebook "fact" checkers feel he was doing his best under CDC guidelines. There are many opinions one can settle on. It's kinda like those Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid. If you think the lockdowns were warranted, no questions asked, turn to page 42.

The turning point for Newsom appears to be him attending a dinner at a hoity-toity restaurant. You see, as per Newsom's instructions, indoor dining was a no-no. Yet there the governor was, dining indoors. Judging by many of the photos, he wasn't very socially distanced either. Our friend Remy dropped a few bars about it with a parody of the Shaggy classic "It Wasn't Me."

Congresswoman AOC DEMANDS the Resignation of Ted Cruz Josh Hawley

1/19/2021

It's been a serious time in America since January 6. We as Americans need to have serious conversations with each other, full of many serious questions. That doesn't mean there isn't time for silliness. And when it comes to people being silly, few elected officials are sillier than Congresswoman AOC, someone who everybody, outside the most ardent AOC stans, could probably agree can be a little over-dramatic. Here she is DEMANDING the resignations of Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. Also, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy for some reason.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "I have demanded the resignations of Sens. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy." pic.twitter.com/A3oLgjjDL8
— The Hill (@thehill) January 17, 2021
Because this is not just about political opinion or partisanship. This was about the abandonment of our sworn oath.

M'kay.

I believe we have a clip of Ted Cruz responding to Rep. AOC.

The "abandonment of their sworn oath" is their raising objections to Joe Biden's electoral certification. I wanted to write "Biden's erectile dysfunction," but was afraid Facebook's fact-checkers wouldn't get the cheap attempt at sarcasm. Let's set aside my doubts that a single rioter or ever protestor was motivated to be in D.C. by anything Cruz or Hawley said. Or knew Ted Hawley from Josh Cruz. The two senators, as well as anyone objecting to certification as Democrats have done in the past, were fulfilling their sworn oath.

You could disagree with them doing so. Many Americans do. You may think they're both giant jerkfaces and that they can't sit with you. But an elected official casting a vote or raising an objection you disagree with is NOT an abandonment of their sworn oath. It's them having a different opinion about a thing than you do.

I don't think calling for people to resign over having bad opinions is a road Rep. AOC really wants to go down.

Joe Biden Plans to Announce Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants

1/19/2021

Comments

As Joe Biden is set to be sworn in as our next president, it would appear his first plan is to tackle immigration reform. Or more specifically, illegal immigration reform. It's being reported he has a plan to give an undetermined number of illegal immigrants a path to becoming citizens. By "undetermined number," I mean most of them. Allegedly.

The bill, which is expected to fill hundreds of pages, would offer one of the quickest pathways to citizenship for illegal immigrants in recent years: those living in the U.S. illegally as of January 1 would have a five-year path to temporary legal status, or a green card, contingent upon a background check, paying taxes, and other basic requirements.

After all that would be a three-year path to citizenship. Sooner if you are a DREAMer or an agricultural worker. Illegal immigration reform has long been a policy priority of the far left, particularly incoming budget chairman Bernie Sanders, who has called for illegal immigrants to receive free health care and free college tuition.

How this bill gets passed, even if it gets passed, is up in the air. There is currently a 50-50 split in the Senate, plus Nancy Pelosi has the slimmest majority any speaker of the House has had in decades. Moderate Republicans could very well support the plan. Or try to work out a "bipartisan compromise." The question is will moderate and/or red state Democrats be willing to do the same. Illegal immigration has always been one of our most contentious issues. Will they be willing to go so far out on a limb with their first vote of the Biden administration? Time will tell.

Tucker Carlson Delivers Powerful Monologue Against 'Military Occupation' Outside Capitol

1/19/2021

In the wake of the Capitol riot, Tucker Carlson made what I felt were very poignant comments. As the media shows us images of eight-foot walls covered in barbed wire around our U.S. Capitol -- the day before we inaugurate a new president -- the idea of things "getting back to normal" feels foreign to many. Carlson feels we're going down a dangerous path that not enough of our leaders are thinking through.
