I've been reading up on some bizarre local customs from those who've traveled around the world. It seems they're pretty uptight about some things.  A couple of guys in Indonesia have a really cool website called IDN Times.
Hanan Imtinani Fathiyah came up with his 7 most profound surprises about local customs.

Although only visiting other countries as tourists, it would be better if we could respect the rules of their country. Reporting from Bright Side, these are things that should not be done while in the following seven countries.

 1. Singapore
Singapore is a country with a low crime rate. They are also strict in rules and always maintain cleanliness. One of the rules is the prohibition on eating gum.

If you break it, you will be required to pay a fine of $ 1,000 (Rp.14 million). There is also a ban on feeding birds, eating on public transportation, spitting, and throwing garbage randomly on the streets.

 2. Chilli
For the country of Chilli, manners are very important. One example is the prohibition of licking fingers after eating or eating by hand.

This regulation applies even to small meals, such as french fries. I want you to have to eat with a fork.

 3. Turkey

A very important little thing that you should pay attention to when visiting Turkey is not to give the "okay" finger symbol to just anyone.

For Turks, this symbol is considered an obscene and disrespectful gesture.

 4. India

Maintaining behavior or manners in public places is very important in India. If you see kissing your lover in a public place, you can go to jail.

 5. Norway

In Norway it is very rude to discuss Church affairs. That's because many Norwegians don't go to church. Besides that, don't expect formality from them.

That's because there are no formal conversations, such as the call of the master or mistress. They prefer to immediately call on the interlocutor's first name.

 6. New Zealand

New Zealanders are known to be friendly and kind. However, there are a number of things you need to pay attention to when choosing the topic of jokes with them.

Some examples, such as not making
rugby sports , the film The Lord of the Rings, and the majesty of the queen's kingdom as a joke.

 7. Germany

When visiting Germany, never give a Nazi greeting. Every year, many foreign migrants are arrested and sent home for Nazi greetings.

Also, don't say happy birthday early. It was considered to bring bad luck and death to them.

SoonerPolitics.org is committed to informing & mobilizing conservative Oklahomans for civic reform & restored liberty. We seeks to utilize the efforts of all cooperative facets of the Conservative movement... Content of the diverse columns are solely at the discretion of the dozens of websites who create the content.   David Van Risseghem  is the founder of this platform.
Sooner Politics News is a platform, not a media site. All our bloggers get their feeds promoted regardless of content. As soon as We suppress or delete even one posting, we become an endorser of whatever We didn't censor..The publisher doesn't (and could not) logically agree with all the content, so we would not expect any rational reader to agree, either. What we do hope, is that readers will think for themselves, and at least be better informed of the issues, events, and values that our citizen journalists work hard to provide for free.. We automate much of the tasks so that our sources' content gets as much exposure as possible. We encourage constructive discussion & debate. The solution is more free speech, not less.
