The Supreme authority of the Oklahoma Republican Party (known as the State Committee) met Saturday in Oklahoma City to conduct several business issues facing the party in this election year. Well over 100 members from most of the 77 county party leadership teams were present the meeting which was called  chaired by the state Vice Chairman, Wayne Hill.
Brian Hobbs, Vice Chair of the 3rd District Committee, said that he was seated in a special election and added to the State Committee by a unanimous voice vote.
Notably missing from the meeting was State Chairman Nathan Dahm, & National Committee members, Steve Curry, and Pam Pollard; according to Hobbs' account.    Curry & Pollard are ending their current terms as RNC members, but remain on the OKGOP Central Committee with Chairman Dahm & Vice Chair Hill.

Trump Wins New Hampshire with 74% of Republican Voters

The CBS News exit polls show who the Republicans support, and who the Independents prefer.
New Hampshire's presidential primary was the 'Never-Trumpers' best effort to topple Former President Donald Trump from his lock on the GOP nomination. But with all but Nikki Haley still fighting him, Trump carried the state's Republican majority.
The NHGOP has allowed the independent voters (who now outnumber Republicans) to pick who will be the GOP delegates to the national Republican Convention.  Some compare the idea to Guatemala letting Mexico citizens vote for the Guatemalan president. "They aren't in our party, but they have the numbers to force a candidate  to be our nominee?" said One long-time GOP leader.

Tulsa Republicans Pack Precinct Meetings

Precinct 1666, in Broken Arrow, held their meeting in their neighborhood.
On Tuesday night, Tulsa County Republicans held their Quadrennial Precinct meetings, to begin the process of sending delegates to the Milwaukee National Convention. The number of attendees far surpassed organizers' expectations.  The midtown Tulsa meeting site had nearly double the attendees that organizers were set up for.
Precincts from 3 metro legislative districts met at Shusterman Neighborhood library's auditorium to hold about 50 precinct meetings in the 6pm to 8pm event.
Hosts Alexis & Bob Jack said they had hoped for at least 50, but set up the room for about 40.  I arrived about 10 minutes early and I was immediately asked to help expand the room and answer questions of those new to the process.
The Library staff was very attentive to our need for more chairs and tables, and by 6:15pm everyone was seated and the meetings began.
I was then sent out to get photo copies made of the last blank attendee form, so that each attendee was properly registered.

"No politician 'checks off every box" in your list of issues. You have to prioritize and use personal discretion regarding every current and future issue that you can imagine. Then you have to also judge integrity & consistency. A candidate's openness to study the issues & courage to think for themselves. Then you need to review their honesty & work ethic.  I respect any voter's decision, when they've informed themselves and took voting seriously." - David Van Risseghem
