Vandalism and looting reports came in early, followed by pepper spray and other assaults. It stopped when a person was shot.
Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak to a civics group at the campus and defiant leftists and other intolerant groups were determined not to let his message be heard.
Ironically, the protesters met at "Red Square" and assaulted Milo's production crew. Law Enforcement officials said they confiscated numerous weapons last night from the protesters.
While the Milo event was properly scheduled and organized, the protesting mob violated numerous laws and campus rules. Yet the police allowed the leftist protesters to continue, but nearly shut down the free speech of the one orderly conservative, Milo Yiannopoulis
.
The shooting suspect is described as 50 years old and of asian descent. He came into the police facility and claimed his actions were in self defense. Supporters of Milo had been violently accosted, as shown in the video below, involving Milo's support team. The critically injured man is said to be 34 years old and in critical condition, having undergone emergency surgery.
Here's part of the Breitbart report:
Seattle PD acknowledge that anti-MILO protesters threw bricks and paint towards police and others in the crowd outside the venue. They also describe seizing weapons from anti-Trump protesters at Westlake Park, elsewhere in the city.
After hearing about the shooting, MILO refused to cancel his talk. “If I stopped my event now, we are sending a clear message that they can stop our events by killing people. I am not prepared to do that.”
