Pelosi Refuses To Apologize For Cultural Misappropriation

  How Ironic! The Democrat Party leaders got one significance very very correct.
  The Kente cloth scarves are a tribute to slave-trading Ashanti warlords who enslaved enemy tribes and sold thousands of them to Spanish slave traders.  The Ashanti were brutal toward their conquered subjects.
A recent PBS documentary included a detailed origin of the Kente cloth's significance..

​  "By the early 19th century, Ashanti territory covered nearly all of present-day Ghana, including the coast, where the Ashanti could trade directly with the British. In exchange for guns and other European goods, the Ashanti sold gold and slaves, usually either captured in war or accepted as tribute from conquered peoples.
  As they prospered, Ashanti culture flourished. They became famous for gold and brass craftsmanship, wood carving, furniture, and brightly colored woven cloth, called kente. Although the Ashanti maintained traditional beliefs, Muslim traders and Christian missionaries won some converts among them to their respective religions. During the 19th century, the Ashanti fought several wars with the British, who sought to eliminate the slave trade.."

  Self-respecting Africans are alone in their disgust over how congressional posers have insulted African Culture.
  Twitter users from some black communities have slammed the move, calling it a political stunt. Pro-life advocate Obianuju Ekeocha posted a video in response to the tribute, condemning it as “virtue signaling.”

It’s actually the kente material,” Ekeocha said. “The kente belongs to the Ghanaian people, mainly the Ashanti tribe. Excuse me, Democrats. Don’t treat Africans like we’re children. These fabrics and these ... colorful things that we have within our culture and tradition, they all mean something to us. I know you look at us, and you say, ‘Oh, Africans are so cute in all your colorful dresses.’”

I had to say something about the American politicians shameless and ignorantly using the Kente fabric as a prop in their virtue signaling.

  We're not worried that Pelosi may have looted the Smithsonian exhibits to acquire the fabric. It's readily available from Chinese textile venders through several outlets.
  But what has many cultural observers baffled, is how the east coast media totally ignored the grievous sin of cultural appropriation?
   It seems there is yet another selective outrage to add to the many instances.
 What surprises many conservative politicos is how horribly the Democrats in power have further insulted black voters and take their electoral power for granted. 
  Presidential nominee, Joe Biden, even accused a black radio host; "You ain't black"  when the man said he's not sure how he will vote.
