Steve Byas: Where Are The Legislators?

  Professor Steve Byas, publisher of the Oklahoma Constitution & Conservative Index, presented his report on the 2017 Spring Legislative Session. He called it ; "Our Michelle Obama Legislature".
  Today he shared with his social media friends about his experience. It's well worth sharing with the whole political community of our state.

​Last night, I spoke to the Oklahoma Conservative Assembly in Moore at Earl's Rib Palace, on the subject;
          'OUR MICHELLE OBAMA LEGISLATURE'.

  We had a great turn-out, but we did not have ONE legislator come. Not one. Now, when these folks are running for office, they come to these meetings and tell you how conservative they are. Usually they tell you they are pro-Second Amendment, pro-life, and they love Jesus. So am I, but once they get elected, you never see them again, and they vote against liberty, limited government, and the Constitution.
​   I have come to the conclusion that they hold the grass-roots with contempt. If Karl Marx went to a Republican gathering today and said he was pro-life and was a deer hunter, they might make him governor."
