While in Oklahoma City this afternoon, I received a call from Vice President Mike Pence offering continued support from Washington DC. We have experienced seamless coordination and collaboration across all levels of government throughout these historic storms, and we appreciate the continued attention and assistants from the Trump administration.

Our prayers are with those who lost loved ones and those who remain in the hospital recovering. The state remains fully engaged in helping with the recovery, and President Trump called during our tour to share how FEMA is engaging as well to ensure this community can get back on its feet quickly. Most importantly, thank you to the local first responders who saved lives Saturday, pulling people out of the rubble and working around the clock this weekend to ensure everyone was accounted for. #OklahomaStandard This morning, I toured the Tulsa Levee District with LTG Todd Semonite, the 54th Chief of Engineers of the US Army and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Crops of Engineers. The good news is that the levees are working as designed. We have ordered several missions to support the Corps and Levee Managers to get large Tesco Sandbags flown in to re-enforce areas of drainage, and we have extra in place and ready to use for any emergency needs. More rain is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow for Central and Eastern Oklahoma. The state is continuing to coordinate with our neighbors, local elected officials, and the federal government to bring in resources to be prepared for a worst case scenario. Please stay tuned to local media and your local elected officials in the event of updated evacuation orders. #okwx via FB-RSS feed for Governor Kevin Stitt I’m grateful for the leadership of Secretary Tim Gatz who unleashed his agency, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, to collaborate with others to build “the impossible road” to help residents in Braggs, Oklahoma: https://www.tulsaworld.com/news/state-and-regional/braggs-residents-get-power-returned-supplies-trucked-in-thanks-to/article_5ad35667-f8db-5902-96fb-9ed9abc41e94.html Braggs residents get power returned, supplies trucked in thanks to heroic efforts on 'impossible road' MUSKOGEE — When people started calling Braggs Mountain an island, as the Arkansas River rose to near-record levels amid catastrophic flooding, most of the city lost power.
