This morning, I toured the Tulsa Levee District with LTG Todd Semonite, the 54th Chief of Engineers of the US Army and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Crops of Engineers. The good news is that the levees are working as designed. We have ordered several missions to support the Corps and Levee Managers to get large Tesco Sandbags flown in to re-enforce areas of drainage, and we have extra in place and ready to use for any emergency needs.
More rain is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow for Central and Eastern Oklahoma. The state is continuing to coordinate with our neighbors, local elected officials, and the federal government to bring in resources to be prepared for a worst case scenario. Please stay tuned to local media and your local elected officials in the event of updated evacuation orders. #okwx
