Muscogee (Creek) Nation Principal Chief David Hill is on TIME Magazine's list of 100 most influential people of 2020. Hill is best known for winning the McGirt v. Oklahoma case, where the Supreme Court rulingdetermined that a large portion of Oklahoma is still under tribal jurisdiction. The ruling means Native American people who commit crimes on tribal land can only be prosecuted by tribal or federal courts.
