Gov. Kevin Stitt issued a statement after a U. S. House oversight panel sent a letter demanding answers about the COVID-19 response in Oklahoma. The head of a Congressional coronavirus oversight panel sent letters to Gov. Stitt and the governors of Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee asking for documents showing how each state is combating the pandemic. The letters outlined a list of 21 states, including Oklahoma, in the "red zone. "
