Shelagh Fogarty, a British radio presenter, demanded DC Police shoot pro-Trump protesters in the Capitol less than an hour before Ashli Babbit was killed.

Fogarty, who currently presents a show on LBC, the UK’s biggest talk radio station, replied to a tweet from Firas Maksad, showing a video of pro-Trump protesters engaging in scuffles with DC Police inside the Capitol Building, after thousands of them had stormed it.

“Shoot them,” Fogarty said succinctly, in a now-deleted tweet. Fogarty is well-known to the British public, having been the breakfast show co-presenter for BBC Radio 5 Live for many years.

Within the hour, Ashli Babbit, a 14-year veteran of the US Air Force, was shot dead by DC Police. Her husband described her as a “strong supporter of President Trump, and a great patriot to all who knew her.” An eyewitness told National File that the police officers moved out of the way of the door of the Senate chambers: a window was broken in the Capitol Building, and Babbit started to climb up, and was shot by a “man in the suit.”

The British radio star initially defended her call to shoot protesters, even after Babbit had been heartlessly executed. Fogarty tried to baselessly claim that the protesters involved in the storming of the Capitol were “white supremacists,” and that “black invaders” wouldn’t “have reached the door, let alone the inner sanctum” of the building, and her tweet was simply meant to reflect that disparity.

You know what I meant. These are white supremacists who, but for the colour of their skin, wouldn’t have reached the door let alone the inner sanctum. Nobody should be shot. Nobody should be there.

After previously saying voter fraud in Georgia must be eradicated, and warning that Democrats would try to steal the January 5 election just as they did the November 3 election, Sen. Ted Cruz refused to object to the – in his estimation – illegal electoral votes assigned from the state.

While campaigning for former-Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who also betrayed President Donald Trump after pledging to support him during her failed bid to retain her seat, Cruz warned that Democrats committed fraud in Georgia on November 3, and were on track to do it again January 5.

However, this did not motivate Cruz to attempt to right this wrong when the joint session of Congress resumed after Wednesday’s mostly peaceful protest.

After previously promising that he – along with 10 other senators – would object to the states contested by President Trump, Cruz was notably silent as the Georgia Electoral College votes were confirmed.

This comes as the majority of senators who said they would back President Trump, with the notable exceptions of Sens. Josh Hawley and Rick Scott, have abandoned the President, as National File reported would happen in the days leading up to January 6.

It also comes as multiple elected officials from both parties call on Vice President Mike Pence – who also betrayed President Trump in the Electoral College vote this morning, potentially sparking the Capitol protest – to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office by force.

It remains to be seen if any Republicans are still aligned with the President, and whether his presidency will survive the week.

Ashli Babbit, the US Air Force veteran executed by DC Police in the Capitol on Wednesday, will be remembered as a cherished wife and patriot by those who loved her.

Babbit was identified as the victim of the shooting by DC Police in the Capitol on Wednesday by local media from her home town of San Diego. As National File reported:

KUSI News has spoken to her husband. Babbit was a 14-year veteran of the Air Force, served four tours, and was a “high-level security officer” throughout her service. Her husband described her as a “strong supporter of President Trump, and a great patriot to all who knew her.”

Following the news of her untimely death at the hands of DC Police, Axelrod, a pro-Trump Twitter personality, revealed he was a close friend of Babbit’s. Speaking exclusively to National File, he said he was “devastated” by her death.

“She was someone that did not judge me,” he said. “She was the ear I never had. She was not antifa or some far-right winger.”

Axelrod tweeted the last texts he shared from Babbit, when she was on the plane on the way to the DC protests. “Be safe. I cannot lose you,” wrote Axelrod. “I’ll watch my 6,” Babbit replied.

Axelrod wrote that Babbit and her husband were simply libertarians who “wanted to be left alone.”

Andrew Torba, the founder of the new tech social media platform Gab, says he is in communication with President Donald Trump’s team and is planning to upgrade the platform’s server capacity in case the president – as legacy tech platforms begin to ban him – commits to moving to the new platform.

“I’m going to be upfront with you: I am in the process of connecting with President Trump’s team as we speak,” wrote Torba in a message posted to his website. “The President’s Gab account is already reserved with hundreds of thousands of followers. We need to massively expand our server capacity and very quickly.”

Torba explained:

Our enemies have silenced the President of the United States as well as millions of law-abiding Americans.
-Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have all locked President Trump’s account for 24 hours and will likely ban him soon.
-Facebook is scrubbing any and all photos and videos from today’s protest.
-Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are removing the President’s video message that calls for peace (which you can find here on Gab TV)

“Our task is not an easy one, but neither was the task of our Founding Fathers,” Torba explained. “We must fight to defend free speech on the internet now more than ever. Our country, and indeed the world, depends on it.”

“Our children are counting on us to rise to the occasion and defend freedom just as so many have done before us. At Gab, we are ready to answer that call.”

Gab was founded by Torba in 2016, when Twitter and Facebook began their slow process of ratcheting up censorship against political opponents of entrenched political interests.

This comes after Twitter suspended President Trump’s account for 12 hours, and Facebook and Instagram banned him for 24 hours. Additionally, Facebook and Instagram are removing all videos and mention of the Capitol Hill protest that occurred on January 6.

Popular video game streaming platform Twitch also banned a viral emoji after the man responsible for its creation made posts sympathetic to the protests.

National File joined Gab in November of 2020, and has already amassed nearly 100,000 followers.
