Petitioners and other supporters of the State Question regarding prescription uses of Cannabis were outraged, today. Preliminary results indicate that the voter petition drive gathered more than a thousand excess signatures to put the question before the voters on the November ballot. Yet the governor and possibly the Attorney General are putting the measure through additional scrutiny before signing off to add the question to the November ballot. Five other state questions were certified by the governor, including expanded liquor access. It seems folks can decide if wine can be ordered over the internet, but a doctor may not be able to prescribe cannabis to cancer patients suffering from the immense nausea of chemotherapy.
