Over 100 folks stopped by our booth to add their name to the Declaration of Independence as we commemorate America’s upcoming 250th birthday.

Friends, we need your help! Senate Bill 6, which proposes to move public school board elections to November, is currently in the House and is ready to be scheduled for a floor vote.

We must reach out to House Speaker Kyle Hilbert’s office and respectfully urge him to prioritize this bill for a vote on the full House floor.

During an AFP meeting over the interim, Speaker Hilbert expressed his intention to sponsor the bill, and bring it up for a vote. We must ensure that he fulfills this commitment.

Please call his office and politely request that he schedule the bill to a vote.

This bill aims to enhance accountability and transparency, ultimately leading to school boards that better represent the diverse population they serve.

Let’s make sure Speaker Hilbert understands the importance of passing Senate Bill 6!
