A note from

OCPAC FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

BOB LINN

REMEMBERING THE IDEALS

FOR WHICH OUR HEROES DIED

One hundred years ago, in his Memorial Day Address on May 31, 1923, President Calvin Coolidge said:

Settlers came here from mixed motives ... Generally defined, they were seeking a broader freedom. They were intent upon establishing a Christian commonwealth in accordance to the principle of self-government ... It has been said that "God sifted the nations that He might send choice grain into the wilderness."

It is that Christian commonwealth

and the principles of self-government

that our fallen heroes died to preserve.

When President Coolidge spoke of God sifting the nations, he was quoting a line from a Boston, MA sermon preached two hundred and fifty years earlier in 1669.

The 1600s represents an era of national cultural formation.

Then, America’s national identity linked principles of both government and education to our nation’s Christian etymology.

The posture of historic Christianity, that nations rise and fall by the hand of God (Acts 17), was a presumption in pulpits of all denominations which gave birth to our nation.

American Christian roots were so vibrant and healthy, they continued to shape the American frame of mind as the 20th century dawned.

In 1923, the American President was reminding an aging nation of its very special place in the history of Divine Providence. Then, the reminder would have been thought quite natural and would have been both understood and welcomed.

Today, American "pride" points to the

celebration of quite a different destiny.

Americans have allowed a fraction of a percent of the population to bully, intimidate, and pollute the nation's character. That is not the cause for which our soldiers charged the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, a June 6, 1944 event we will remember next week.

Many fine political leaders in America today are both fiscal and social conservatives. They speak boldly about Marxism and the accompanying moral decline it has ushered into the nation's institutions.

However, gone are the American political leaders who speak about the Christianity on which all else rests.

There are two men in Europe, however, who have been clear that if we do not return to our Christian foundation, civilization will be lost. They are former President of the Italian Senate, Marcello Pera and Hungarian President, Victor Orban.

I will come back to Memorial Day in closing, but I want to communicate the devastation which has overcome this nation which was bequeathed to us by a handful of European Christians who sought to extend the Kingdom of Christ to American soil.

The clearest trumpet sounds available today have come from Europe itself. Thought leaders who are very clear that America's Christian foundations are not an option for any nation's political health.

The 20th century classic, The Drama of Atheist Humanism, was written by the devout Christian and French intellectual leader, Henri De Lubac. The book begins:

Beneath the numerous surface-currents which carry contemporary thoughts in every direction, it seems possible to detect a deep undercurrent, an immense drift. Forged by the action of a large portion of its foremost thinkers, the peoples of the West are denying their Christian past, and turning away from God.

De Lubac then seeks to dismantle the arguments of Europe’s intellectual “elite.” Emile Saisset comments on two of the men he had in mind when he stated that:

Herr Feuerbach of Berlin, like Monsieur Compte in Paris, offers Christian Europe a new God to worship – the human race.

He devotes more than a third of the book to one of Europe's greatest thought leaders; the profoundly devout Christian writer, Fyodor Dostoevsky. The Bible was his constant companion and, on his deathbed, he asked his wife to read Scripture to him.

Dostoevsky is considered by many

the greatest novelist of all time.

He had a vision for the union of the identity of all nation with God Himself. He had a calling like that of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who came after him. A calling to ward off atheism and its corollary, socialism from the Russian people.

When, forty years ago, Solzhenitsyn stated in his May 10, 1983 Templeton Lecture that “Men have forgotten God,” he might have also said, “The Russian people have forgotten their Dostoevsky.”

Dostoevsky’s argument against socialism is found in his book, The Devils (also published with the titles Demons/The Possessed). It is the story of the destruction of the “old society” through a socialist revolution. This pernicious offspring of atheism is what he sought to warn his countrymen about.

It is a message that Dostoevsky would, as Solzhenitsyn after him did, bring to the American public today.

For Dostoevsky, atheism is the destruction

of everything on earth that owes

its origin to faith in God.

In Henri De Lubac’s words, the socialist revolution of Dostoevsky’s The Devils means that:

Not only is heaven emptied but man is secularized. Nothing about man will be connected to either a transcendent origin or a sacred destiny.

Shigalev, one of Dostoevsky’s spokesmen in the novel, in time learns that the hopes of the revolution are an illusion. Shigalev states:

Having set out from unlimited freedom,

I have ended up with unlimited despotism.

The voice of Dostoevsky is desperately needed in America today if we are to preserve a government so many sacrificially died to preserve.

Dostoevsky believed Russia, as a nation, was God’s people. In his private letters, he expressed his firm belief that Russia’s Orthodox Christian thinkers were on a mission to regenerate the world.

America needs its own Dostoevsky today.

Dostoevsky devoted his life to discipling the minds of the Russian people. French philosopher, Paul Evdokimoff, sees clearly that in The Devils, Dostoevsky means to state that:

Social systems which have no Christian basis (the only one capable of transforming man) inevitably become systems of violence and slavery.

Reflecting on the impact of the abolishment of society through an atheistic revolution, Dostoevsky makes a clear and bold statement in his Journal of an Author. He said:

The result would be such darkness, such chaos, something so clumsy, blind and inhuman that the whole structure would collapse under the curses of mankind before the building had been completed.

Today we are memorializing the

soldiers who gave their lives to

sustain what our founders built.

America is a nation our European forefathers

began as the extension of the Kingdom of God.

Last week, “America’s Pastime” (Major League Baseball) welcomed the performance of a half-naked, transvestite stripper. The exhibition was a filthy, erotic display on a cross. It took place in an MLB stadium as a part of a Los Angeles Dodger game last week.

Our dead did not offer their lives for a society floundering in the moral and intellectual morass of atheism on display today in American entertainment, media, commerce, and academia.

From Benjamin Franklin Morris’ 1864 classic The Christian Life and Character of The Civil Institutions of The United States:

Our fathers’, says Webster, ‘had that religious sentiment, that trust in Providence, that determination to do right, and to seek, through every degree of toil and suffering, the honor of God, and the preservation of their liberties, which we shall do well to cherish, to imitate, to equal, to the upmost of our ability.

Concluding in his Memorial Day Address on May 31, 1923, President Calvin Coolidge stated America's Republic is worth preserving :

They had a genius for organized society on the foundations of piety, righteousness, liberty, and obedience of the law ...

Who can fail to see in it the hand of destiny? Who can doubt that it has been guided by a Divine Providence?

Most are shocked at the depths of cultural corruption in America today. It is well past time to employ our voices to American academia, commerce, entertainment, media, and especially, the church.

On this Memorial Day, we may honor the dead only by engaging in the civic life of the nation. Otherwise, they will have died for a cause which appears to have meant nothing to the living.

In his day, Dostoevsky believed that

Europe would one day return to Christ.

Let’s us join the great master of the literary world and ask God for a return to Christ of our American Republic and, in the spirit of the prophet Micah, for a Christian renewal in Russia, China, and all the other nations of the world as well!

Video of 2022 National Convention in Chicago

Last week's State Department of Education (SDE) meeting premiered a shocking video of the NEA/OEA agenda.

It was presented as a part of Ryan Walter's State Superintendent of Public Instruction report.

The reporting of Oklahoma's Orwellian news media was slanted and inaccurate. Ryan Walters spoke only kind words to the teachers of Oklahoma.

The video would have frightened and shaken supporters of the NEA/OEA as the light exposed the true essence of their evil objectives.

It angered salt of the earth Oklahomans.

Immediately following the convention last year, our newsletter exposed some of the content.

Pray for the devout Christian leadership God has graced Oklahoma with. Ryan Walters and each member of the SBE are devoted to insuring that Oklahoma families are allowed to nurture their children without governmental interference in the form of economic mandates dictating the government's narrow educational ideology.

With the passage last week of educational choice with tax rebates, this is now available to all Oklahoma families. Ryan Walters and the ODE played a part in that and they continue to represent Oklahoma's families.

SPACE FORCE

Former Commander

MATTHEW LOHMEIER

Former Space Force Commander, Matthew Lohmeier is author of Irresistible Revolution, a book detailing the Marxist influences which have commandeered the U.S. military at the highest levels.

Lt Col Matt Lohmeier understands at the deepest level that America is under siege. When his book exposing Marxist infiltration into the highest levels of the U.S. military was published, he sacrificed his extraordinarily promising military career.

For the sake of preserving this God-blessed nation and its military from the poisonous false promises of socialism and communism, he published Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest and the Unmaking of the American Military.

Matt was trained in Oklahoma and lived in our state for several years before he took a command position at the newly formed U.S. Space Command in Colorado.

He courageously shows how the new training of military personnel is based on Marxist principles, and the administration that approves of such training by logical deduction is either sympathetic to or supportive of Marxism.

Matthew writes:

"Marxism justifies the destruction of what is, asserting that a revolution will bring about something that will be better. The past ought to be destroyed; traditional religious and cultural sites must come down, because they are, after all, only a symbol of the oppressor, those with privilege. They are vain monuments to those who unjustly wield power in the old society. To maintain the vestiges of old society is to perpetuate oppression."

The United States is in the beginnings of a Marxist Revolution. Good people need to hear from Commander Matthew Lohmeier to recognize the danger and what can be done to stop it.

A simple action from you to be part of the Republic's defense force is to bring some friends with you to attend this Wednesday's OCPAC Foundation meeting.

American patriots see in Lt Col Lohmeier exactly the kind of leader they hope to see in those who wear the uniform of the United States military and swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

~Debbie Georgatos, host of the America, Can We Talk? show

and of the Women for Freedom Summit

There is no one in this country that is doing more to help defend America and promote the vision and values of our founding fathers than Matt Lohmeier! I have never met anyone who better understands the challenges we are facing today from the “enemy within” than Matt. And absolutely no one articulates the related threats and potential winning strategies with more clarity and aplomb!

THIS WEEK! May 25 Meeting

BOB LINN

Remembering a Forgotten Past

In the opening lines of the promotion for Matt Lohmeier’s new movie, we learn that his appreciation for the American Republic is the product of his reading of its history.

America's foundational document, the Declaration of Independence, is grounded in ideas articulated in the annals of history more than 500 years earlier.

June 15, 1215 witnessed the historic event at Runnymede where King John of England signed a document drafted by church leadership. We know it today as the Magna Carta. It made known to all that even the King was subject to the rule of law and could no longer reign as a tyrant.

The Parliament of England, in 1642, became the model for the American founders by expanding on the ideals of the Magna Carta. It is called the Solemn League and Covenant and was signed by the Church of Scotland, the Scottish Commissioners, and, on September 25, 1645, it was signed by both houses of England’s Parliament.

The final paragraph of the Solemn League & Covenant reads with these words:

And because these kingdoms are guilty of many sins and provocations against God and his son Jesus Christ, … we profess and declare, before God and the world, our unfeigned desire to be humbled for our own sins, and for the sins of these kingdoms: especially, that we have not as we ought values the inestimable benefit of the Gospel … that we have not endeavored to receive Christ in our hearts, nor walk worthy of him in our lives … this covenant we make in the presence of almighty God … for this end … the enlargement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ, to the glory of God, the enlargement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ and the peace and tranquility of Christian kingdoms and commonwealths.

Such are the foundational elements of Western Civilization and the scientific revolution of the 16th and 17th centuries. It was devout Christian men like Kepler, Euler, and Galileo who made possible the technology which makes even this weekly newsletter possible.

Christianity was impacting the realms of government and science. Civilization was making remarkable progress.

However, Christianity was being challenged. For the first time in human history, the seed of atheism began to appear in printed form. In 1842, Auguste Compte published Cours de philosophie positive, which advocated a philosophy of anti-theism and replaced the worship of God with the worship of mankind.

That same year, Ludwig Feuerbach published Das Wesen des Christentums, advocating positions in agreement with Compte.

In his book, The Drama of Atheist Humanism, the highly respected French Christian academic, Henri de Lubac, comments on the appearance of these two men on the European stage in the same year. He writes, “This coincidence of dates emphasizes the convergence of the two designs.”

Emile Saisset wrote:

Herr Feuerbach in Berlin, like

Monsieur Compte in Paris,

offers Christian Europe

a new god to worship –

the human race.

Feuerbach and Compte laid the ground for Neitzche, Sartre, Voltaire, and others. Together, they re-shaped governments and academia in the 20th century.

Twenty-first century leaders like both of

this week's luncheon speakers ask us to

remember well these, our foundations:

By signing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, and 53 other men mortgaged both their lives and their fortunes to found the most unique government in the history of mankind. In it, they were careful to articulate the fact that their authority was secured solely in the divine laws that justly rule mankind.

They added that human rights flow not from governments but from God Himself. America’s only hope of securing political independence from a British tyrant rested, they wrote, in Divine Providence.

The Declaration of Independence listed a small number of truths that its signers and their neighbors accepted as guidance for their lives. The more extensive list would have been the Ten Commandments which are displayed today in our nation’s Capital in Washington, D.C.

That is why American politicians, especially aspirants to the presidency, overwhelmingly profess to be practicing Christians. That is why, when sworn into office, they each make their pledge on the Bible.

Christianity makes for strong societies

governed by rulers whose powers are limited.

WE HAVE WORK TO DO

Christianity’s ideological antagonist, atheism, now represents the paradigm of choice in academia. This, in spite of the fact that even the 20th Century’s international icon of science, Albert Einstein, said, “I’m absolutely not an atheist!”

Atheism found no foothold in the world’s civilizations until 18th Century France. From the Frenchman, Voltaire, came a tsunami of atheistic secularism that swept the world stage through men like Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, and many others.

In its wake was the testimony of its evil origins documented in the corpses of more than 100 million of their own citizens and the many more whose lives suffered until death in shadows of fear and torture.

That we may not follow in the footsteps of China, the Soviet Union, and Cambodia, we must ensure Oklahoma’s youth understand the foundations of freedom which are articulated in the Scripture referenced in England’s Solemn League and Covenant.

The Ten Commandments, which helped shape Western Civilization, was considered sacred by the chief figures of modern science and the leaders of the scientific revolution, and now is on display in our highest governmental institution in Washington.

It would make an appropriate display

in our children’s classrooms.

T.S. Eliot wrote The Idea of A Christian Society to guide our thoughts as we contemplate the roles we play in building the next generation of civilization. He said:

The only alternative to a progressive and

insidious adaptation to totalitarian

worldliness for which the pace is already

set, is to aim at a Christian society.

If you will not have God,

you should pay your respects

to Hitler or Stalin.

A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or by email and get involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world.

Christianity is the very foundation of human thought.

It is the foundation of free & prosperous societies.

We are in desperate need of returning

our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.

Thank you for your activism.

CHINA PLANS WORLD CONTROL

Radio Interview ...

Michele Bachmann

by Dr. James Dobson

Michele Bachmann:

The Biden administration is proposing amendments that would transfer the sovereign authority of every nation to make decisions over healthcare and that decision-making power would transfer to the World Health Organization.

Just this week Xi Jinping himself said that China will be leading the global government in reform and governance.

The communist China will lead, and they're serious about that because they're the ones who control and direct the World Health Organization.

There is legislation now in Congress, it's being proposed by Representative Andy Biggs and it’s called House Resolution 79, and it's very simple.

It just says the United States is leaving the World Health Organization.

STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

May 25 Meeting

BOB LINN

Shaped by Ideology & Philosophy

This Wednesday’s luncheon will host the state GOPS’s newly-elected leadership and their perspective on the GOP platform.

The foundation for Oklahoma’s two major party platforms support sharply opposing theological and cultural philosophies.

In its 2012 Democrat National Convention, removing God entirely from the platform received enthusiastic affirmation as it appeared that God was booed.

The Democrat platform mentions God once.

In the GOP, God is front and center.

The Democrat and the GOP platforms are composed of deep-seated fundamentals reflecting a divided America. Neither of these two political documents, both representing their party's platform, are religious. Yet, each mirrors the theological, philosophical, and cultural presuppositions of the two very different cultures who occupy American soil.

Italian philosopher, political thinker, and intellectual, Augusto Del Noce ("no’ chay"), articulated the values of historic Christianity in his book The Crisis of Modernity. Carlo Lancellotti is the book’s translator and wrote in the introduction:

Del Noce stands out for his constant effort to discern the connections between social and political developments, on one side, and philosophical and religious ideas on the other.

As Del Noce closes the book, he reminds us that:

No historic period has verified as well as our own, an old French philosopher's famous line: "at the bottom of politics there is always theology."

The American pulpit should be alarmed at the philosophical and religious ideas which underlie the nation’s schools, entertainment, and media. The pulpit should be equally alarmed that those ideas are weaponized in the American voting booth. Ironically, many of these voting booths are often located in their very own church buildings!

An impoverished American pulpit produces a dearth of intellectual fodder and fails to address the broad public application of Biblical ideals.

In return, choices made in the American voting booth ushers into office those who publicly advocate ideas once considered unthinkable.

As a result, the classroom, the media, and political speeches contain grotesque, lewd, and absurd ideas that drive civilizations to the point of cultural extinction.

Missing is the “full Gospel.” The candidates who knock on our doors and claim membership in a local church are not hearing a topically broad Gospel which transforms both the individual and the nations people build. The church is producing community leaders who do not hear sermons which articulate the ways in which divine revelation speaks to the whole of earthly life.

America suffers from a political community untethered to a complete set of Biblical principles spanning both private and public affairs. To the detriment of all, men vying for political office defend positions that are in open defiance of centuries of church teaching.

America’s secular inclinations has birthed political positions anathema to the centuries of cultural advances which built Western Civilization.

For those reasons, it is incumbent upon the American pulpit to articulate to the nation’s ecclesiastical community ways in which divine principles translate to both the individual as well as to the societal structures of local, state, and national affairs.

America is on the brink of extinction because it suffers from a spiritually impoverished voter.

Speaking at last week’s luncheon, former White House National Security Council Chief of Staff, Alex Gray, articulated the national and international realities which place America on the brink of Soviet-style tyranny dressed in Red Chinese garb.

His notes (below), are a reminder of the grave condition we find ourselves in.

We Stand in Need of Divine Intervention

We are in Need of Biblically and Culturally Informed Pulpits

We are in need of an awakened citizenry

Ellis Sandoz, director of the Eric Voegelin Institute for American Renaissance Studies, speaks of the centrality of spiritual and intellectual well-being in the development of civilization. Dr. Sandoz discussed the relationship between academic and ecclesiastical integrity and political well-being when he wrote:

“Protecting philosophy against perversion is vital to the larger task of protecting human existence itself against perversion and tyranny.”

No philosophy fostered such political evil (tyranny) as the atheistic anatomical nature of Marxism. It represents the great metaphysical myth of modern times: the death of God and the reimagining of mankind who will take his place.

Quoting Del Noce:

The core of Marx’s philosophy must be identified as the rejection of every form of dependence and thus the extinction of religion. Hence, revolution represents a transition from one stage of mankind to another.

By “the extinction of religion,” Del Noce is referring to the atheism which is foundational to Marx.

Del Noce points out that the transition from a God-centered culture to an atheistic-centered culture is one that:

Requires a revolution capable of transforming human nature itself. The Marxian revolution is aimed at building a new humanity: a totally other reality.

The brutal tyrannies of Stalin and Mao were made possible because the atheism of Karl Marx redefined man.

Deprived of purpose grounded in the divine revelation of the transcendent, mankind lost identity as a bearer of the divine image. In the Marxian machine, man becomes a purposeless cog.

This reimagined anthropology enables any tyrant on any continent to justify, at least to himself, the brutal tyrannies which are the political destinations of those at the top of the political food-chain built on Marxist philosophy.

Born in Budapest, Hungary, Catholic philosopher, historian and political theorist, Thomas Molnar, commented on what he calls the “frenetic lust for power” by these utopian revolutionaries and their “philosophically radical detachment from reality.”

Del Noce follows, “Utopianism is destined to become a cover and a justification for the most unscrupulous political action. The complete absorption of morality into politics leads to persecutions, terror, and, ultimately the selfishness of a new ruling class, which is the endpoint of all revolutions.”

Swiss Theologian Emil Brunner said:

Only Christianity is capable of furnishing

the basis of a civilization which can

rightly be described as human.

Henry VanTil, in his Calvinistic Concept of Culture pointed out that:

Man is a stranger to himself and knows not the purpose of his being or of his sojourn here on earth. He must learn the true purpose of his being and know himself through his knowledge of God.

T.S. Eliot wrote The Idea of A Christian Society to guide our thoughts as we contemplate the roles we play in building the next generation of civilization. He said:

The only alternative to a progressive and

insidious adaptation to totalitarian

worldliness for which the pace is already

set, is to aim at a Christian society.

Thinking again of the warning signs Alex Gray delivered at last week’s luncheon, I end by again quoting T.S. Eliot:

If you will not have God ...

and He is a jealous God ...

you should pay your respects

to Hitler or Stalin.

A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or by email and get involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world.

LAST WEEK

WHITE HOUSE STAFFER

AND CHINA

Summary of Remarks at OCPAC Foundation

May 10, 2023

By Alexander B. Gray

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) poses an existential threat to the United States. This threat emanates from its geographic and economic size, and the power and might of its military. However, it is the Chinese Communist Party’s ideology which fuels the danger to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

The threat is heightened by the fact that the CCP ideology is dismissed by the Establishment of both parties.

CCP ideology is dismissed as a “cloak” and the PRC ideology is asserted to be “not actually Communist.” This assertion has been echoed even by very senior Trump Administration officials.

To recap from previous presentations, for numerous reasons, the PRC is unlike any previous Great Power competitor facing the U.S.:

Geographic size

China has control of large swathes of Eurasian

landmass, plus critical seaways in maritime Asia

Population

Just recently surpassed by India as world’s largest population,

but will remain formidably sized for decades to come.

Military strength

This strength is significantly due to theft of U.S. intellectual

property and destruction of U.S. manufacturing capacity.

Economic strength

This is largely due to U.S. decision to admit CCP to

World Trade Organization, submit to unfettered

free trade, and aid and abet the PRC's

rise to Great Power status.

Ideology

CCP ideology is existential- see below

Presence of U.S. elites in significant numbers

(economic, political, cultural) with extraordinary

economic dependence on PRC.

_________

Control best describes CCP ideology

Control of thoughts

They are no longer satisfied with control of

what is said publicly, or even privately.

Control of body

Organ harvesting and policies restricting reproduction.

Control of family

Attempts to break down traditional family

unit as a counterweight to CCP control.

Control of the economy

Xi Jinping reasserting state control

over all sectors of the economy.

Control of religion

Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, etc.

How does the U.S. defeat this threat?

What is our “vision of victory”?

Admit we are in an existential battle with CCP ideology.

This isn’t just about geography or economics.

It is bigger than that.

Admit that there will be a winner.

As Reagan said, our goal should

be “we win, they lose”.

Impose reasonable restrictions/regulations

that reduce our vulnerabilities and

make victory more likely.

Possible Restrictions

You cannot serve in the U.S. Government

if you’ve ever profited from the PRC.

You cannot serve in the USG if you have a spouse

or close family member who has ever

profited from the PRC.

Other Concrete Steps

Establish OK China Commission, modeled on

the Congressionally-mandated

U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission

(Oklahoma Senator Shane Jett has introduced SB 904)

Advocate for imposition of tariffs to

bring back U.S. manufacturing.

Support Buy America, Hire

America laws and regulations.

FINALLY

Recognize that 2024 may be the final opportunity

to resist CCP influence/ideology in a serious way.

BOB LINN

Communism's Broad Devastation

STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

May 25 Meeting

BOB LINN

Communism's Broad Devastation

This past weekend saw a state-wide GOP convention which was covered in prayer and welcomed the numerous references to our nation’s Christian roots.

German-born political scientist, Dr. Eric Voegelin, would have approved.

He fled Hitler’s Germany for America’s Christian freedoms and, in 1941, published Science, Politics, & Gnosticism. In the book, he states that:

Energy, pride, and the will to rule can indeed establish the despotism of a spiritually corrupt elite, but not a just government. When Democrats rave about freedom and equality and forget that government requires spiritual training and intellectual discipline, they are on the way to tyranny.

Immense theological and political education was on hand at America’s founding. Quite a contrast to the intellectually vacuous American voices dominating today’s calls for the dismantling of the most profound and culturally nurturing political documents ever penned.

The China threat, our Wednesday topic, will suggest that educated churchmen re-establish a well-informed and Biblically-mandated concern for the earthly affairs of mankind.

Our Puritan foundations are not a shield against the terror which advanced to the European stage in the midst of its latent ecclesiastical orthodoxy.

If the church does not awaken to its civic duties, the following one hundred-year-old story from Michael Malice's White Pill will be tomorrows news:

In 1921, Alice Rosenbaum, born in Petrograd (Later, St. Petersburg), Russia, watched a student give an anti-communist speech during student council elections.

Alice never forgot the shock of discovering that the young man had been arrested in the night, and was sent to a slow, terrible death of Siberia.

By the end of the school year, there were no more anti-Communist speeches on campus, and there were no more anti-Communists on the student council.

The brutal expropriation of her father, other shopkeepers, and the murder and dismemberment of the Russian royalty and their children told her that the ideology of Communism itself was evil.

When at last leaving for America, an older person pulled her aside and asked her to make him a promise:

Tell them that Russia

is a huge cemetery

and we are all

dying slowly.

In an interview with a U.S. Congressman, having changed her name to Ayn Rand, she noted:

Imagine what it is like if you are in constant terror from morning until night and at night you are waiting for the doorbell to ring, where you are afraid of anything and everybody, living in a country where human life is nothing, less than nothing, and you know it. You may have friends who spy on you. There is no law and any rights of any kind.

She spoke also of mass graves and:

Barely-living kids and the elderly were tossed alongside the dead in order to save the extra trips. Their last hours on earth would be spent slowly dying, surrounded by the corpses of their countrymen.

RUSSIAN COMPOSER

DMITRI SHOSTAKOVICH

The Musical genius, Dmitri Shostakovich, also endured the constant fear of becoming one of many known to have had night visitors, curtesy of Joseph Stalin. Many were his friends who were never seen again.

Testimony, The Memoirs of Dmitri Shostakovich, was related to his close friend, Solomon Volkov. In the opening pages we read:

They usually came for their victims at night. Shostakovich did not sleep. He lay listening in the dark.

The constant anticipation of arrest affected his mind. For nearly four decades, until his death, he would see himself as a hostage, a condemned man.

He felt himself alone – his friends died or disappeared, or worked on their careers – but he was used to that too. The world turned permanently gray.

Quoting Shostakovich:

I see nothing but ruins, only mountains of corpses. When I started going over the life stories of my friends and acquaintances, I was horrified. Not one of them had an easy or a happy life. Some came to a terrible end, some died in terrible suffering, and the lives of many of them could easily be called more miserable than mine. And that made me sadder. I was remembering my friends and all I saw was corpses, mountains of corpses.

PIANIST

CONDUCTOR

VLADIMIR ASHKENAZY

Born in Gorky, Soviet Union, Vladimir Ashkenazy wrote about Shostakovich's life under Joseph Stalin in his forward to Testimony:

We know without a shadow of doubt that Shostakovich deeply detested the system in which he lived. We knew how much he suffered from it and how helpless he felt about being unable to do anything except express himself through his music.

WRITER

HISTORIAN

STEPHANE COURTOIS

Stephane Courtois is a Historian at the French National Centre for Scientific, a research professor at the Catholic Institute of Higher Studies in La Roche-sur-Yon, and director of a collection specialized in the history of communist movements and communist states.

In The Black Book of Communism, he states:

Time and again the focus of the terror was less on targeted individuals than on groups of people. The purpose of the terror was to exterminate a group that had been designated as the enemy. Even though it might be only a small fraction of society, it had to be stamped out to satisfy this genocidal impulse … How do we describe a crime designed to exterminate not merely individuals or opposing groups but entire segments of society on a massive scale for their political and ideological beliefs.

It is why Ayn Rand and Dmitri Shostakovich so detested the Marxist ideology. It is one of many reasons that Dr. Eric Voegelin called Karl Marx "a swindler" and his master, Hegel, a charlatan who played "con games."

It is an ideology that is devastating the youth of America who are exposed to elements of atheism which strips humanity from any possible sense of meaning and purpose for existence.

In addition, our youth are trained to bestow blind trust in the government who is directly educating the vast majority of them.

Elinor Lipper, in her book Eleven Years in Soviet Prison Camps, penned this profound statement on the impact of Communism on our youth:

The search for truth, the urge to understand the meaning of life, is wholly alien to the younger generation which has passed through the school of the Communist Youth Organization.

For them, all problems have been solved; there is a standard answer to every question.

The language of these intellectually impoverished young people is larded with ready-made phrases.

They quote Stalin instead of thinking for themselves; they derive their opinion from Pravda editorials.

They are arrogant and complacent, and everything that pertains to them is the greatest things there is: Their country, their power, their leader.

Theirs is also the greatest misery and oppression, but they are unaware of this, for they have never known anything but Soviet life.

The members of this younger generation have neither sympathy nor understanding for their elders; there is no bond between them.

If anyone puts forth a thought which does not fit into the pattern laid down by Stalin, they do not argue against it, but they react with such suspicion of the other’s true intentions and hidden thoughts that he quickly learns to keep his ideas to himself.

Thinking of the endurance Shostakovich demonstrated under the close scrutiny of Joseph Stalin, a cruel and murderous tyrant, authors Allan B. Ho and Dmitri Feofanov challenge each of us as they wrote in Shostakovich Revisited:

We have fewer reasons to compromise. Our lives are not endangered, and our biggest enemies are merely complacency and the status quo. They provide a poor excuse for refusing to face the truth. Shostakovich always did, and we owe him at least this much.

A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or by email and get involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world.

Walters Testifies to Legislature

A note from

OCPAC FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

BOB LINN

THE WAGES OF ATHEISM

This afternoon, Ryan Walters will answer questions before members of the Oklahoma legislature. The questions will center on the immorality present in our public schools. The immorality in our schools is a symptom of the atheism which represents the reigning assumption of our science classes in particular.

Charles Darwin wrote in his autobiography, “A man who has no belief in the existence of a personal God or a future existence with retribution and rewards, can follow those impulses and instincts which are the strongest or which seem to him the best ones.”

Because of his Nobel Prize in literature, most think of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn as a writer and Russian dissident. However, his degrees were in mathematics and physics. He stated that “If Western man continues to aim his metaphysical and epistemological blows at the revelation of God in His word and in His works, Western Civilization will eventually stagnate and die just like the cultures of antiquity.

Yale President Timothy Dwight, described the social impact of Voltaire’s atheism:

About the year 1728, Voltaire, so celebrated for his wit and brilliancy and not less distinguished for his hatred of Christianity ... formed a systematical design to destroy Christianity and to introduce in its place a general promotion of atheism ... Chastity and heterosexuality were declared to be nothing more than groundless prejudices.

Voltaire’s ideas are being taught to our

children through our schools today.

The secular slant which defines public education today is especially prominent in the sciences. Something the forefathers of modern science would not have condoned.

Men like Kepler, Euler, and Einstein, would object that our schools today teach a science devoid of reference to the divine architect of the cosmos they seek to understand.

Euler was a devout Christian who taught

his children and grandchildren

the Bible every evening.

Einstein stated:

I'm absolutely not an atheist ... We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written.

The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws.

I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene. No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.

The metaphysics of transcendence articulated by those to whom we owe modern science is no longer provided to our children who attend public schools.

The current foundation in atheism and the antagonism to Christianity is in opposition to our American foundations. Our schools are at war with the ideals of our founding fathers as well as the ideals of those to whom we owe modern science.

This war is destroying

our national identity and

placing our future at risk.

Austria’s Wilhelm Reich’s battle plan to promote immorality is contained in his book, The Sexual Revolution. In it, he makes clear that the path to the revolution’s utopia requires that Christianity be erased from the earth so that every repression is removed and unlimited sexual freedom becomes the cultural norm. Precisely what is taught in our schools today. It is the reduced vision of mankind as simply a bundle of physical needs.

No society can survive with a Reichian identity untethered from the divine origin of our very being. Our loss of a national identity is a product of the emaciated view of mankind as seen through the lens of materialism.

Noah Webster wrote:

In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed ...

No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

The Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government ... I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable, in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence.

Those of you who were at the monthly State Department of Education (SDE) meeting heard Ryan Walters describe the influence of cultural Marxism in our schools and his department’s new call to investigate the extent to which our school districts have implemented programs titled “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI).

He pointed out that DEI is actually

indoctrination which causes

exclusion, and division.

In the state legislature, the school choice Superintendent Walters and the people of Oklahoma are calling for, is at risk of faltering. Solutions are currently impaired by the territorial egos of each house. Those egos will have to be quickly nurtured into mature leadership if Oklahoma is to have a robust future.

Without school choice, government will continue to be the majority voice in the training of the next generation of Oklahoma's voters. That represents tyranny and is nothing close to government by the people, of the people, and for the people.

Ryan Walters will be discussing the state into which our schools have fallen this afternoon at 2:30. He will be in the state capitol this afternoon to take questions from a House Legislative Committee in Room 450.

You are encouraged to join us there.

Texas Gold May Replace Fed | Notes from Colorado

A note from

OCPAC FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

BOB LINN

ON A COLORADO VACATION

Jane and I are flying back to Oklahoma today after a thoroughly exhausting week and a half vacation in Colorado Springs with our fabulous four Rocky Mountain grandchildren. We re-scheduled quite a few things, from appointments upon which the future of the West seemed to depend, to things not so important, making possible an enjoyable Hawaii vacation for our son and his wife.

The grandchildren convened frequent legislative sessions to determine whether traditional household rules were to be interpreted by the doctrines of original intent or if parental oracles were subject to the current transitions in prevailing family culture and should be treated in the context of the judicial philosophy of “living documents.”

The complicated debates between my 7-year old and my 13-year old, in particular, schooled me in the concept of the ubiquity of political nuance in all things of vital importance to the domestic tranquility of the American cultural landscape and I again understood that life's most difficult societal problem sets are addressed most effectively from the Christian foundations that only the most rigorous of Biblical theological thought provides.

On the flight home, I will be considering the possibility that the foundation of domestic tranquility may resemble a set of ideas that would transform international relationships as well

TEXAS TRANSITIONAL CURRENCY

In 2015, Texas, who alone represents the 9th largest economy in the world, moved over $1 billion in Texas gold reserves from the Federal Reserve in New York to the Texas Gold Depository in Leander, Texas.

The more than 80% decline in the value of the dollar over the past forty years is one reason Texas legislators are considering offering U.S. Citizens (Oklahoma included) Digital Gold Currency.

This would enable anyone, inside or outside of Texas, to buy gold bullion and have it placed in the Texas Bullion Depository. The bullion would be exchanged for dollars when the depositor chose to spend it with a credit card for groceries, gas, and all the other ways we use our debit cards.

The dollar has also been under assault internationally by the BRICS collective (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), who have announced their intent to create a new currency to replace the dollar.

As a result, the dollar's share of foreign-exchange reserves has been in decline over the past 20 years and fell to 59% in quarter four last year. This month, it was just above 40%.

The Texas legislation represents

an opportunity to help save

the cash assets of both

Oklahoma and the Nation.

IF INTERESTED, you may ask Texas

lawmakers to pass this legislation

The Texas Transactional Currency bill the Texas Senate will vote on is SB 2334. The Texas House will vote on HB4903. They are twin bills that would allow Texas to create Texas Transactional Currency to provide Texas Digital Gold Currency to the general public throughout the nation.

Michael Fortier is free. Fortier, who was a part of the planning of the bombing, turned federal witness and released into a Federal witness protection program on January 20, 2006.

Kari Watkins, the President and CEO the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial and Museum, has, since the release of Michael Fortier in 2006, made private efforts to seek the cooperation of Fortier to tell more of his story regarding the details of the bombing.

We would have loved to have been able to bring Fortier and his wife to our program Wednesday as we remember the 28th anniversary of the 1995 bombing, but he has chosen to say no more and remains in seclusion in the Federal Witness Protection Program.

With us will be former Representative, Charles Key, a member of the Oklahoma Bombing Investigation Committee.

BOB LINN

Smart Cities Robbing our Soul

Last Wednesday, Dr. Julianne Romanello focused her massive post-doctoral research on elements of the emerging global government that we can and should identify and remove from Oklahoma soil.

Because of her research, I became aware, for the first time, that the centerpiece of the World Economic Forum in America is a strategy to bypass America’s fifty states and to establish a direct connection between the cities of America and a global system managing (dictating) economies and human resources (people).

It is the reign of the few over the many. The vision requires that virtually everything is monitored, measured, and managed by the government. People included.

In a statement from the World Economic Forum, we read:

“The revolutions occurring in biotechnology and AI are redefining what it means to be human and will compel us to redefine our moral and ethical boundaries.”

It is a war against the human soul.

When, in 1997, The Black Book of Communism was published in France, it was very quickly translated into English and, in 1999, was published by Harvard College.

The introduction is an observation made by Bulgarian philosopher Tzvetan Todorov and is germane to last week’s topic of smart cities.

He wrote:

A citizen of a Western democracy fondly imagines that totalitarianism lies utterly beyond the pale of normal human aspirations. And yet, totalitarianism could never have survived so long had it not been able to draw so many people into its fold … Communist society strips the individual of his responsibilities. It is always “somebody else” who makes the decisions. Remember, individual responsibility can feel like a crushing burden. The attraction of a totalitarian system, which has had a powerful allure for many, has its roots in the fear of freedom and responsibility.

Dr. Angelo Codevilla noted the same proclivity toward weakness in the uncultured elements of mankind in his book, Character of Nations. When describing those accustomed to life under the rule of a tyrant, he said that “When people become accustomed to obeying rules made by people they do not know, the capacity for citizenship will gradually atrophy.”

Indeed, people have atrophied!

When Neil Postman wrote Amusing Ourselves to Death, he was addressing the same sickness of the human soul to which both Todorov and Codevilla referred when he said, “There are two ways by which the spirit of a culture may be shriveled. In the first – the Orwellian-culture becomes a prison. In the second – the Huxleyan – culture becomes a burlesque.”

While we Americans have taken both paths at once, it is the Huxleyan road Michael Walsh was referring to in his The Devil’s Pleasure Palace, when he said that the culture being pressed upon us has as its goal “to reduce human beings to the level of animals.”

Solzhenitsyn addressed the core of the smart city concept squarely fifty years ago (minus one year) in 1974 when he wrote to the Russian people his Live not by Lies.

Solzhenitsyn said:

We have so hopelessly ceded our humanity that for the modest handouts of today we are ready to surrender up all principles, our soul, all the labors of our ancestors, all the prospects of our descendants – anything to avoid disrupting our meager existence. We hope only not to stray from the herd, nor to set out on our own, and to risk suddenly having to make do without white bread. As for him who lacks courage to defend even his own soul, let him say to himself plainly: I am cattle, I am a coward, I seek only warmth and to eat my fill.

Twenty-five years later, Dr. Codevilla cast a similar spin on a people coddled by government services when he wrote:

Governments that are run as

providers of services train those

who live under them to be subjects

rather than citizens.

The result is a mass of humanity simply interested in being satisfied and willing to submit to someone who can tell them where to go and what to do.

In his Russia in Collapse, Solzhenitsyn asked:

How can we overcome the age-old vice of ours:

Sluggishness and laziness in civil life?

When T.S. Eliot wrote The Idea of a Christian Society, he used his considerable literary skills to urge the church to understand their obligation to do more than save souls, but to glorify God by impacting the condition of the culture which defines the state.

We Americans have by and large lost our souls. We have been led down the same pathways as our brothers and sisters in Russia, Germany, China. It is the trail of tears so many in the nations around the globe have traveled as they succumbed to heavy-handed brutes who have shoved their way onto the world stage only to disenfranchise, torture, murder, and destroy.

It is time we come out of our ecclesiastical closets and assume the yoke bequeathed to us as the ideological descendants of those who built Western Civilization and who founded those first colonies on our eastern shoreline.

Those were men who created a nation of states that became the beacon of freedom and the light of liberty to the nations of the world.

Eliot stated that the only alternative to a progressive and insidious adaptation of totalitarian worldliness is to aim at a Christian society.

Dr. Angelo Codevilla concurred. He wrote:

There is not now and never has there

been a better predictor of prosperity,

family, and civility than the faithful

practice of Christianity.

Our founders did not blush at the mention of Biblical foundations of governmental theory. If we are to re-establish what they gave us, we must not blush either.

SoonerPolitics.org is committed to informing & mobilizing conservative Oklahomans for civic reform & restored liberty. We seeks to utilize the efforts of all cooperative facets of the Conservative movement... Content of the diverse columns are solely at the discretion of the dozens of websites who create the content.   David Van Risseghem  is the founder of this platform.
Sooner Politics News is a platform, not a media site. All our bloggers get their feeds promoted regardless of content. As soon as We suppress or delete even one posting, we become an endorser of whatever We didn't censor..The publisher doesn't (and could not) logically agree with all the content, so we would not expect any rational reader to agree, either. What we do hope, is that readers will think for themselves, and at least be better informed of the issues, events, and values that our citizen journalists work hard to provide for free.. We automate much of the tasks so that our sources' content gets as much exposure as possible. We encourage constructive discussion & debate. The solution is more free speech, not less.
