(The Center Square) - Republican Markwayne Mullin will become Oklahoma's junior U.S. senator.
Mullin won a special election called after longtime Republican Jim Inhofe announced his retirement earlier this year. He defeated Democrat Kendra Horn, Libertarian Robert Woods and Ray Woods, who ran as an independent.
Republican U.S. Sen. James Lankford handily won reelection, defeating Democrat Madison Horn, Libertarian Kenneth Blevins and Michael Delaney, who ran as an independent.
