Law & Principles Stitt signs legislation allowing police to arrest illegal immigrants
Legislation making “impermissible occupation” a crime—allowing law enforcement officials to arrest illegal immigrants—passed the state House by a vote of 77‒20 and the state Senate by a vote of 39‒8. It has been signed into law by Gov. Kevin Stitt.
