Delta Variant Targets Kids?:
The current CDC data on fatalities by age group which includes the new delta variant.
“COVID-19 cases among children have increased exponentially since the pandemic’s recent low-point in the early summer, with case rates going up more than tenfold for the 5-11 year and 12-15 year age brackets since early June. However, the death rate among pediatric cases remains below 0.01 per 100,000 people, compared to 0.19 for ages 50-64, 0.31 for ages 65-74, and 0.89 for age 75 and above, according to the CDC.”
It needs noted that even with the more contagious delta variant the comorbidity issue remains as the largest indicator of outcomes. Exercise, diet to control obesity and diabetes and practice good hygiene appears to be as important as vaccines to preventing death from COVID or its most recent variant.
When will we hear all these supposed medical experts start insisting we all need to be on a regular exercise routine and within a reasonable range of our BMI? Maybe we should limit the activities like travel and being out in public to “flatten the curve” for those with any of the high risk comorbidity issues?
Of course I would never advocate that but maybe those in the vax and mask mob—many of which are not in compliance on exercise or within two stone throws of their BMI—should consider the slippery slope their blind endorsement of government control of personal health decisions is on.
