1960 - USSR recovers 2 dogs - 1st living organisms to return from space
1969 - Apollo 11 lands on the Moon; Aldrin and Armstrong become 1st men to walk on the Moon
1977 - The CIA release documents under the Freedom of Information Act revealing it had engaged in mind control experiments
1985 - Treasure hunters begin raising $400 million in coins, gold, and silver from the Spanish galleon “Nuestra Senora de Atocha”; the ship sank in 1622 off the coast of Key West, Florida (pictured)
