Despite polling slightly better than Joe Biden, the Veep remains incredibly unpopular with the American people. According to the Daily Wire, “the most recent YouGov tracking poll shows that Harris’ unfavorability rating has hit 49%, while her favorability rating sits at just 45%.”

A strong rebuke. But how would you feel about a new and improved VP? Harris has hired two advisers to help rebrand her image: “Lorraine Voles, a crisis communications expert, and Adam Frankel, a former Obama speechwriter, worked for Harris during the presidential transition and have extensive experience crafting messages from the White House and the corporate world,” The Washington Examiner reports.

Voles’ website says she offers, “crisis management” and “marketing and rebranding.”

“The hires come amid a sense of anxiety among some Democrats about Harris’s first year as vice president. Many in the party view Harris, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for president, as a leading candidate to take the mantle from the 78-year-old President Biden either in 2024, should he choose not to run for reelection, or in 2028,” The Washington Post reported.

Harris has had a rough start as Vice President – especially her mishandling of the border crisis.

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany thinks Harris cares less about doing a good job now and more about her prospects for 2024 and beyond.

“All she cares about is the communications of it and her future presidential run. She doesn’t care about the actual problem. Do you think she cares about the little kids on the border in horrific detention facilities – ones she used to call human rights violations? Of course she doesn’t care about that. She just cares about how she’s perceived. It’s why she didn’t go to the border until she was pressured,” McEnany says.

Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) isn’t budging for anyone – the $3.5 trillion dollar reconciliation bill is still a no-go.

“I cannot accept our economy or basically our society moving toward an entitlement mentality, that you’re entitled,” Manchin told reporters. “I’m more of rewarding because I can help those who really need help if those who can help themselves do so.” 

Manchin previously called the bill “fiscal insanity.”

“What I have made clear to the President and Democratic leaders is that spending trillions more on new and expanded government programs, when we can’t even pay for the essential social programs, like Social Security and Medicare, is the definition of fiscal insanity, Manchin said in a statement. Suggesting that spending trillions more will not have an impact on inflation ignores the everyday reality that America’s families continue pay an unavoidable inflation tax.” 

“ I cannot – and will not – support trillions in spending or an all or nothing approach that ignores the brutal fiscal reality our nation faces.”

Florida attorney Daniel Uhlfelder, who was accused of unprofessional conduct for dressing like the Grim Reaper on Florida’s public beaches, has made a new attack ad targeting Governor Ron DeSantis. The ad is shot and edited like a movie trailer for something called the “Florever Purge.”

“The ad, based on the movie ‘The Purge,’ opens with a crowd of people flying to Florida on a commercial airplane, watching a warning video of DeSantis condemning “vaccine passports” and promoting individual responsibility.  The ad ends with a series of pandemic-related news clips hyping the spread of COVID-19,” the Daily Wire reports.

The ad may not be getting the kind of response Uhlfelder hoped. The National Review’s Charles Cooke tweeted “this is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.”

A former Facebook employee has filed multiple complaints with the Security and Exchange Commission claiming to have irrefutable proof that the social media giant knows their algorithms amplify divisive content.

According to CBS News, “the former employee says the documents prove the company knows its algorithms amplify polarizing and hateful content, adding that societies around the world are being torn apart, partly because of the social media company. Profit outweighs safety on Facebook, according to the former employee.”

“Ahead of the 2020 election, Facebook put safety systems in place in part to reduce the spread of misinformation. Most of those changes were turned off after the election. She says this is an example of Facebook prioritizing growth over safety and calls it a betrayal of democracy,” CBS adds.

Facebook has denied the allegations, but the whistleblower is preparing to reveal her identity and elaborate on her story on 60 Minutes.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is worried about holiday flights causing another COVID spike. Her solution: mandatory proof of vaccination status or negative test results before boarding.

“We can’t allow upcoming holiday air travel to contribute to another surge in COVID cases. Today, I introduced legislation requiring passengers on domestic flights to be vaccinated, test negative or be fully recovered from a previous COVID illness,” Sen. Feinstein tweeted.

“The bill would require the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in consultation with the Federal Aviation Administration, to develop national vaccination standards and procedures related to COVID-19 and domestic air travel in order to prevent future outbreaks of the disease,” the Senator’s website says.

“We know that air travel during the 2020 holiday season contributed to last winter’s devastating COVID-19 surge. We simply cannot allow that to happen again,” Feinstein says.

Willis Orlando, a Flight Expert at Scott’s Cheap Flights doesn’t see the problem with the proposed legislation, saying getting on a plane is “optional.”

“You’re choosing to do something optional, you don’t have to get on that plane, if you’re going to get on that plane, follow the airline’s rules and remember give the flight attendants a little bit of grace, they are working very, very hard right now,” Orlando says.

The CDC is stepping up its efforts to get pregnant women vaccinated – only, they aren’t using the word “women” at all. It’s another example of woke messaging in medicine.

“Pregnancy can be both a special time and also a stressful time – and pregnancy during a pandemic is an added concern for families. I strongly encourage those who are pregnant or considering pregnancy to talk with their healthcare provider about the protective benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine to keep their babies and themselves safe,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said in a statement.

When The Hill tweeted about the story, it read “CDC issues urgent advisory “strongly” encouraging pregnant people to get COVID-19 vaccine.”

The Hill’s write up of the story refuses to refer to “women” in any way.

“The CDC only last month officially recommended the vaccine for people who are pregnant or lactating, but has tried to make it clear that the benefits for both pregnant persons and their fetus or infant outweigh known or potential risks.”

“Pregnant persons?” “People who are pregnant?”

Dana Loesch shared her thoughts on Twitter saying, “Pregnant people.” So much for following the science. The word is “women.” Stop the sexism.

Stu and Cathy Scheller, parents of jailed marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, have a message for the American people: “Find your voice. Stand up, demand accountability of your Congresspeople. Ask for Lieutenant Scheller to be freed.”

The Scheller’s don’t know the specific charges against their son, but do know that he was thrown in the brig after speaking out against President Biden and senior military officials in the wake of the botched withdrawal in Afghanistan.

“They put him under a gag order. They took away his right to post, to talk on social media, to email, to text,” Stu Scheller Sr. told Tucker Carlson. “He shared it with America. And he knew…when he posted again and he broke his silence, that they were probably going to arrest him…So, he is a very intelligent man. He understands what’s going to happen to him.”

Stu and Cathy Scheller say their son’s only crime was “speaking truth to power, and power couldn’t handle it.”

Meanwhile, the Pipe Hitter Foundation has raised more than $200,000 to assist Lt. Col. Scheller.

Panama Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes says Del Rio was just the beginning.

According to a new report from Fox News, 85,000 Haitians have crossed through Panama since the beginning of the year, and authorities believe they are all heading to the southern border.

“We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ‘Please, let’s pay attention to this,'” Mouynes told Axios.

“We all have a role to play in this issue, and the regional approach is the correct approach,”  she added. “It is impossible for Panama to solve it on its own.”

“In addition to the 85,000 people that have already made their may to Panama and beyond, Mouynes said another 30,000 are waiting in Colombia while Panama is unable to take them,” Fox News reports.

The Pentagon knew within hours, but said nothing for weeks.

During his testimony in front of the House Armed Services Committee, Gen. Kenneth McKenzie admitted that the US military knew within hours that the August 29th retaliatory drone strike had hit civilians – but nothing was said until September 17th.

“This strike was taken in the earnest belief that it would prevent an imminent threat to our forces and the evacuees at the airport, but it was a mistake and I offer my sincere apology,” McKenzie said at the time. 

According to Business Insider, “Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during Wednesday’s House hearing also confirmed that the military knew civilians were killed ‘several hours’ after the strike.”

The drone strike didn’t hit ISIS-K members as initially reported but instead killed 10 Afghan civilians, including 7 children.

Dana Loesch weighed-in Wednesday on YouTube’s decision to eliminate all anti-vaccine content from its platform, saying the left defines “disinformation” as any discussion they may find challenging or against their narrative.

“Unfortunately, the left defines ‘disinformation’ to include any legitimate questions or any discussion they find challenging to their preferred narrative (e.g. any conversation on natural immunity),” posted Loesch on Twitter.

“Our Community Guidelines already prohibit certain types of medical misinformation. We’ve long removed content that promotes harmful remedies, such as saying drinking turpentine can cure diseases. At the onset of COVID-19, we built on these policies when the pandemic hit, and worked with experts to develop 10 new policies around COVID-19 and medical misinformation. Since last year, we’ve removed over 130,000 videos for violating our COVID-19 vaccine policies,” writes YouTube.

“Today’s policy update is an important step to address vaccine and health misinformation on our platform, and we’ll continue to invest across the board in the policies and products that bring high quality information to our viewers and the entire YouTube community,” concludes the streaming service.
