If we had to choose an MVP of 2022, it would be Elon Musk. From both an entertainment and content standpoint, Elon came in clutch. There was even one month when if you looked at our top ten posts, you would think they were sponsored by Tesla. As we prepare to forget old acquaintance by getting stinkin' drunk on the most overrated party night of the year, the Chief Twit may have provided a preview of what 2023 has in store.
The last time Elon said the words "Anthony Fauci," it was a foreshadowing of upcoming Twitter Files where we learned how "the science" took a backseat to "the narrative" at the behest of "the government." Elon confirms a new Twitter policy in 2023 on following science. More science, fewer false idols.
More interesting are these comments about corporate media. There is a ton of wishcasting and handwringing over Elon Musk "ruining his reputation" by the way he has expressed opinions the left disagrees with. Musk has a warning...and perhaps a preview of new Twitter Files in 2023?
Corporate media isn't shy about demanding Big Tech censor, throttle, or otherwise deplatform their competition. Could there be a collection of emails and Slack screen captures exposing various media outlets? That's to be determined.
It just always cracks me up how corporate media refuses to believe they have anything to do with their reputation. As if it's only Trumpers and right-wing wackjobs who think they suck at life. The reality is it's the far-right, the center-right, RINOS, moderates, the establishment, the consultant class, independents, libertarians, and apolitical people. The only group that DOESN'T seem to think corporate media deserves its reputation as the least trusted institution in America is the far-left which relies on them to spread their narrative.
Corporate media earned their sh*tty reputation all on their own. They did that.
