City locks down SPAM in response to rising petty thefts... wait they're stealing SPAM?

7/31/2022

Comments

Things are getting pretty bad in the leftist paradise known as New York City, where certain crimes have simply become part of daily life because criminals, if they are ever caught, are immediately released back onto the streets. A while back, Al Sharpton complained that the rise in thefts had caused his toothpaste to be locked up. Well, it's gotten worse, and now SPAM has been subjected to stricter security precautions.

You read that correctly. SPAM and other staples like tuna, reports the New York Post, have been tossed under lock and key in response to the recent uptick in petty thefts.

I'd love to have one to keep, case and all — but there's only one way to do that... pic.twitter.com/PX3dbSd52B
— willy ?? (@willystaley) July 28, 2022

The image of a humble can of SPAM in a security box is rather hilarious, and to anyone not living in a city that's been all but overrun by criminals looks like something that would be put in a dystopian sitcom or something. For New Yorkers, this is just life now. But would the little box actually do something to stop, say, a homeless man from stealing it? A store clerk, talking to the Post, doesn't seem to think so.

"I don't think they stop anything," she said. "It's security theater. If you really needed it, you would stomp on it."

Sounds like sound logic to me, which is surprising because this is obviously a New York City resident, who likely voted for the exact people whose policies have created the lawless environment in which she resides. Mayor Adams doesn't seem to be taking care of the problem. Perhaps there's hope if Lee Zeldin wins his gubernatorial race in New York, but the odds of New Yorkers pulling their heads out of their asses and voting for anyone without a D after their name is slim.

Enjoy your high-security SPAM, guys and gals!

'You've gotta be f kidding me': Russell Brand roasts Nancy Pelosi as she runs away from questions

7/31/2022

Paul Pelosi, the husband to Nancy Pelosi and a guy who may or may not have a problem with a sauce, has made all their millions on the stock market. During the pandemic, while everyone was hashtag all in this together, he outperformed the S&P by over 14%. There have been accusations that maybe, just maybe, him buying shares of companies just before the Congress his wife controls voted on things is a little insider trader-ish. Russell Brand has a question about Pelosi's run of luck: Are you f*cking kidding me?

The comedian was particularly curious about a recent Nancy Pelosi press conference where she was asked about the accusations, and she ran away like she just elbowed a small Mexican child.

Elon Musk blasts Wikipedia for recession definition change they also changed the definition of 'definition'

7/31/2022

Comments

Elon Musk has entered the definition wars where we change the definition of words to mean something different than they mean. Specifically, Musk took issue with Big Tech company Wikipedia editing the definition of "recession" and locking people from editing it back.

To be clear, according to Facebook and Politifact the people who control Joe Biden DID NOT change the definition of "recession" to protect Biden's political agenda. However, sometime before America hit its second quarter of negative growth last Thursday, which has been a recession every time it has happened since 1948, "someone" changed the definition. It's been reflected on Big Tech company Wikipedia, where the definition was changed to a more Biden agenda-friendly definition. Now there is, quote, "no global consensus on the definition" of what a recession is.

Wikipedia has changed the definition of recession.

Wayback's last capture was July 11, 2022.

Based on Wiki's changelog, the line: "There is no global consensus on the definition of a recession" was added on July 27.

The page is now locked. pic.twitter.com/6tx1vPHEPM
— unusual_whales (@unusual_whales) July 28, 2022

If you try to change the definition back to the pre-last week version, Wikipedia won't let you. They locked the page from edits. That's where Elon takes exception because it sure does smell like it's being done for political reasons.

Wikipedia is losing its objectivity @jimmy_wales
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 29, 2022

Elon tagged the founder of Wikipedia that the Big Tech platform is "losing its objectivity." An argument can be made that it never had objectivity. Also, Elon hadn't seen anything yet. Wikipedia also changed the definition of the word "definition" and locked edits on that.

Amazing

Wikipedia has now changed the definition of the word Definition pic.twitter.com/fPO0Y5HUYP
— Paxlovid Rebound Poso ?? (@JackPosobiec) July 29, 2022

? After Wikipedia changed the definition of “recession” and locked the page for editing, they also changed the definition of “definition” and locked it for editing as well ? pic.twitter.com/jqY55g1pEO
— Dr. Eli David (@DrEliDavid) July 30, 2022

Now "definition" is no longer a factual statement. It's a "fluid' statement that "evolves" to "meet the needs of societal change." Like, and I'm just spitballing here, the political agenda of a world leader. A world leader whose political agenda is shared by the Big Tech industry.

Though the definition of "recession" was NOT changed to save Joe Biden. That can not be stressed with a straight face enough.

Poll: Pro-lifers motivated to vote in midterms abortion-supporting leftists... not so much

7/31/2022

Comments

Democrats have several reasons to be fearful this November, staring down the red supernova that's sure to lose them the Senate and, hopefully, the house. I say "hopefully," but with poll results like those coming from the Washington Post, "hopefully" is starting to look like "probably." (h/t Townhall)

According to a poll released by WaPo, the decision in Dobbs, which overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the decision of abortion back to the states, has had the opposite effect for which the Democrats had hoped. They thought the SCOTUS decision would fire up the base and send them to the polls. "Reelect we useless dolts in November, and we'll make sure abortion is codified into law!" (They can't do that, but it's what they've been saying.)

Well, it doesn't look like the rallying cry for baby murder has worked. Those who look favorably on the decision in Dobbs are 18% more likely than pro-abortion leftists to vote in the midterms.

Americans who look favorably on the decision overturning Roe are 18 percentage points more likely to vote in the midterms — 70% compared with 52% of those who see the decision as a loss for women. ⁦⁦@KnowlesHannah⁩ ⁦@EmGusk⁩ ⁦@sfcpoll⁩ https://t.co/gEY0IdGOoy
— Peter Baker (@peterbakernyt) July 30, 2022

This is great news if you think babies should be chopped into pieces or if you're just an American who believes in freedom--which probably also means you don't think babies should be chopped into pieces.

The most violent radicals on the left--those ones attempting to assassinate justices and burn down crisis pregnancy centers--while motivated to destroy, aren't the kind of people to get off their butts to cast a vote. That's a lot of work and doesn't sound like nearly as much fun as trying to burn down a building.

Republican politicians could still screw all this up, though. Only time will tell, but barring any acts of political malfeasance or complete and utter stupidity, we should be looking pretty good come November.

Anti-Gun Democrat goes on profanity slur-laden tirade against some random dude who criticized him

7/31/2022

Rep. Chuy Garcia, a backbencher Democrat from Illinois, was very happy with himself that he voted for the Democratic gun-grabbing/"assault" "weapons" ban in the house. Anarcho3D, a random Twitter account, was critical of the congressman, so the congressman responded with profanity and ableist slurs.

Anarcho3D never even heard of the backbencher when he/she/it/xi responded that they will not comply with the House gun ban. That caused the congressman to lash out at the random anonymous Twitter account: "You are borderline r*tarded, ya f*cking dipsh*t."

Rep. Chuy García (D-IL) tweeted profanities and a slur in response to a random Twitter account with 531 followers who trolled him. pic.twitter.com/LUjqWnDoxd
— Joseph A. Wulfsohn (@JosephWulfsohn) July 30, 2022

"R*tard," sometimes referred to as the "r-word" or "r-slur," is a pejorative for either someone mentally disabled or just stupid. In the adjective form "r*tarded," it's meant to describe something stupid or foolish. For example, it is r*tarded for a congressman to curse out randos on Twitter over mild, anonymous criticism.

Or allegedly curse them out. After the tweet was up for almost two hours, a statement was issued on behalf of the congressman by his spokesperson, blaming an anonymous staffer that is going to be "disciplined" and that "action" will be taken. No apology. Just an acknowledgment that it happened.

Statement from Congressman García’s Spokesperson, Fabiola Rodríguez-Ciampoli: pic.twitter.com/SyagCscHA0
— Congressman Chuy García (@RepChuyGarcia) July 30, 2022

Critics will say that sometimes when a public official f*cks up on social media, they will blame an anonymous staffer for the post. On occasion, an intern will be blamed. Congressman Garcia has the added benefit of being a Democrat and knowing the media will never investigate the matter or the "anonymous: staffer further. Had this been a Republican congressman, CNN would have a doxxing-team dispatched to the district.

OnlyFans 'model' arrested at a concert for attempting to smuggle cocaine in her vagina

7/30/2022

Drugs are bad, kids. They'll ruin your life and possibly get you arrested like Grace Athanatos, a 24-year-old OnlyFans 'model' from Melbourne, Australia, who was just trying to party it up at a concert in Sydney. But she didn't have it stashed in her purse, boot, or bra. She figured the best way to get by security was to stuff it up her hoo-hoo. That'll trick the coppers at the door!

Well, it might have gotten by the cops, but they brought along some K9s and those little dudes can smell a condom full of angel dust from a mile away, even if it is masked by, y'know, other scents.

The New York Post reports that "[p]olice found a knotted condom inside the Melbourne woman’s vagina via a private room strip search. She was then charged with supplying drugs."

While she was caught with more than an 8-ball of blow--for those of you who aren't familiar with drug slang, an 8-ball is 3.5 grams (and she was caught with 5.6 grams)--she swore to police she was a "nice girl," says NYP, and she only planned to share the nose candy with her friends to, well, "have a little fun."

"I had a small amount," explains Athanatos, "and yes, I tried to hide it--like everyone else--but I was caught."

No doubt there were probably plenty of drugs floating around in the crowd at the DJ MaRLo concert, but they were obviously better at hiding it.

Instagram / Grace Athanatos

Athanatos was sentenced to twelve months of conditional behavior bond, instead of the maximum two-year prison stint and or $11,000 fine, and went back to OnlyFanning in up--probably still with cocaine. You know how these things go.

Gas Shortage causes Germany to darken cities lower thermostats and the unthinkable... close breweries

7/30/2022

Winter is coming, my sweet summer children, and for much of Europe, that means a cold winter. Humans are pretty adept at adapting to such changes in the weather, and our homes usually stay toasty enough to give us a regular reprieve from the bitter chill nipping at us outside. But as Russia continues to withhold natural gas from Europe--up to an overall 80%, reports Hot Air--some countries are being forced to take somewhat drastic measures.

Germany, for example, in an effort to curb energy consumption and save as much of their natural gas stores as possible for the winter, has begun shutting off lights in public areas and buildings, killing the hot water to public buildings, and even eyeing the forced shutdown of German breweries, which blow through incredible amounts of electricity.

Even then, the city of Hanover is also looking to limit the heating of public buildings to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't know about you, but when it's literally freezing outside, 68 degrees doesn't do much to warm me up. I like it somewhere in the mid-70s range, maybe higher if I'm feelings squirrely.

"Meanwhile, Rosi Steinberger, a member of Bavaria’s regional parliament, now works in a dark office to cut her consumption, and is debating whether to provoke the inevitable ire of Munich by suggesting it cancel its world-famous Oktoberfest. It is scheduled to return this fall after a two-year pandemic pause."

It's not enough that they might shut down the breweries, but they might shut down Oktoberfest, too! This truly is a tragedy!

But this is all the result of Europe's dependence on Russia for natural gas. If, say, they were to be energy independent via, perhaps, nuclear power, this wouldn't be an issue. If America would produce more oil and natural gas, our goofy European friends could just buy it from us. But, you see, European leaders and our own dimwitted corpse currently being propped up in the oval office are morons who are far more concerned with virtue-signaling to radical eco-terrorists and/or bringing about the great transition to renewables that they couldn't care less if a few Germans freeze to death this winter. That's just the cost of progress.

Americans might want to buckle up because this is the direction in which the left is taking us.

Ana Navarro rants over Ron DeSantis's opposition to half-naked adult men dancing with children

7/30/2022

When Florida announced that they were investigating a bar in Miami for having half-naked adult men dancing around with little children, Ron DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw made sure the people knew what the media was going to defend. Ana Navarro of "The View" should have watched the video before ranting about Ron DeSantis going after "the drag queens."

Navarro was interviewing Billy Porter when she lashed out at the Florida governor. The "Republican" "strategist" knew there was a video in question. The question is if she knew what video.

It's not bigoted when Biden does it! WH poorly answers questions about shipping migrants rebuilding the wall

7/30/2022

Comments

Days like Friday are when Karine Jean-Pierre wishes Jen Psaki left the emergency bottle of tequila in her desk. It's much easier calling your opponents "bigoted" when it comes to illegal immigration. When reporters hold your guy to the same standard, not so much. If nothing else for KJP, none of these answers are worse than her not having a response for China threatening to assassinate the Speaker of the House.

There is a question over who is allowed to ship illegal migrants throughout the country and why. It should be a question of why the border isn't secure, but... you know. The mayor of Washington DC wants the National Guard to defend her border from illegals being sent to her city. This is after they crossed the border that Biden isn't defending into small towns. The White House position is that it's ok for small rural towns to be overrun with illegal immigrants, but not huge urban areas where their voters are. However, this White House will ship illegal immigrants all throughout the country on their own. When asked why it's ok for the White House to ship illegals throughout the country but not Texas, KJP says it's because Texas is doing it for political reasons. The White House doesn't do ANYTHING for political reasons.

REPORTER: "What's the difference between Texas busing migrants to DC, and the federal government flying migrants to, say New York, in the middle of the night?"

KJP: "It's very different, because we're not using migrants as a political pawn." pic.twitter.com/U3rABzadSK
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) July 29, 2022

On the topic of hypocrisy, the Biden administration also started rebuilding Trump's wall. Yes, the raaaaacist one Biden pledged not to rebuild. Jean-Pierre says they aren't rebuilding the wall. They are just "cleaning up" Trump's mess. By taking that mess, organizing it vertically, and using it to fill in gaps in the rest of the wall.

DOOCY: "Why is the Biden administration building a border wall in Arizona?"

KJP: "We are not finishing the wall. We are cleaning up the mess the prior administration left behind in their failed attempt to build a wall." pic.twitter.com/3tc7cctvhX
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) July 29, 2022

Funny thing about the president building (or cleaning up) the wall? As Townhall points out, KJP thinks it's bigoted. Or, "thought" it "was" bigoted.

Day 30 of Donald Trump taking more than 800,000 federal workers and their families hostage for a bigoted border wall that Trump promised Mexico would pay for.
— Karine Jean-Pierre (@K_JeanPierre) January 20, 2019

.@realDonaldTrump #WhereAreThePesos for your bigoted wall?!?
— Karine Jean-Pierre (@K_JeanPierre) January 9, 2019

I hope Karine Jean-Pierre gets her rest. The border crisis isn't going anywhere. Questions about where it's appropriate to stick migrants aren't going anywhere. AND, Nancy Pelosi still has to respond to the White House's "hypothetical" about her being killed by China.
