OKGOP Faces Defamation Suit From Party Activist

9/21/2021

Comments

Al Gerhart, founder of the Sooner Tea Party, has filed a pair of lawsuits claiming a series of defamations from party leaders and staffers at the Oklahoma Republican Party headquarters.
The lawsuits(1, 2) were filed in Oklahoma County's district court and assigned to two different judges. Sooner Politics has obtained copies of the complaints and reached out to Gerhart for further insights about what precipitated the legal action.
Gerhart told us that he has reached out to the parties named in the suits but they have rebuffed his attempts to resolve these issues out of court. The complaints listed against the OKGOP says that a survey conducted by Gerhart, with the collaboration of other media and political consultants; was smeared by the party leadership as a 'malicious link' which could harm a computing device or load spyware of some sort. Gerhart says he notified the OKGOP Executive Director weeks ahead of the survey launch and agreed to share the survey results with Chairman Bennett's leadership team.

Talk Radio Rebounds in Oklahoma

The historic KAKC radio signal has now switched to conservative talk radio, in Tulsa. It's part of the iHeart Radio network and features the Premier Radio personalities that Rush Limbaugh's business partners recruited over the decades.
Oklahoma conservatives have enjoyed a long tradition of conservative political talk radio ever since Rush Limbaugh singlehandedly built the new genre in the early 1990s.  Paradigm shifts have had some impact on how consumers get their information,
KAKC 970am was long known as a rock & roll station in the 1960s & 70s. It was sold to KCFO in the 1980s and eventually rebranded, dropping the former call letters. But nostalgic business investors acquired the call letters for a classic rock revival station just up the AM dial at 1300am.

OK House Holds Hearings On Jail Diversion For Mentally Ill

A bipartisan  working group will convene Monday morning at the capitol, to hear from leading experts in criminal justice on the massive problem of jails becoming default mental health institutions.
District Judge, Kirstin Pace, along with two county sheriffs, and multiple mental health advocacy groups are preparing to present their reports and answer lawmakers' questions.
Reps. Randy Randleman and Colin Walke are teaming up to collect data and testimony from across the state, in an attempt to provide more humane solutions for individuals in crisis, while finding ways to more quickly deliver essential treatment for those in psychosis due to schizophrenia, mania, major depression, and other forms of psychotic illness of the brain.
The Dept. of Mental health is also collaborating to provide possible solutions to make more state mental health facility capacity available to cops and courts.
The Monday morning event will be televised on the capitol webcast network at

Oklahoma Commercial News Outlets Hide More News Than They Report

9/6/2021

TV stations won't address the scourge of gambling addictions, ruined lives, & broken homes.

Citizen journalism is exploding while commercial news outlets become more outlandish and compromised.
Gambling problems are just one example where state & local commercial media outlets are fully dependent on gambling money and the advertising dollars. There is a clearly implied expectation that media outlets are not expected to reveal any of the thousands of families in financial ruin from the severe addiction crisis.
Former senator Rick Brinkley is just one example. He was seen as a pillar of Oklahoma society. A pastor and the director of the Tulsa Better Business Bureau. Yet he admitted in federal court to embezzling nearly $2 million from the Tulsa BBB, because his gambling debts were both astronomical and socially embarrassing. the stigma of this type of addiction is a major reason why its not talked about. But add to that, no media outlet wants to risk a major advertising customer by exposing this severe societal problem.

TV & Radio stations have raked in millions from gambling outlets. But when's the last time you saw a report on the scourge of gambling addictions?

InfoWars Exposes Major Fake News Collusion Over Oklahoma Hospitals

9/5/2021

Comments

Katelyn Ogle, a veteran journalist for KFOR television news in Oklahoma City, is said to have launched a major global hoax in the disinformation about pandemic treatment.
Her report from a few days ago went viral, even though she and most every other major global news agency, evidently never bothered to confirm the sole source of the wild narrative.
  The claims include:
  1. Oklahoma has mass overdoses of a common drug used to treat several human symptoms. The drug is also approved for many common veterinary uses.
  2. Hospitals across Oklahoma are over capacity due to these severe overdose cases.
  3. Gunshot victims are not receiving emergency room treatment because of the overdose poisoning
  4. Ambulances are unable to respond to emergency calls because their vehicles are serving as temporary hospital beds

Ivermectin is now among the most utilized drugs in the world for treating early acute Covid-19 cases. Japan, India, Peru, and many other nations are seeing Ivermectin as a safe and effective drug, and the developer received a Nobel Prize in medicine for his discovery.
Ivermectin had previously been effective in treating other viral strains, and several developing nations began test rollouts in controlled studies. Peru and India are now making the drug available to everyone.

"No politician 'checks off every box" in your list of issues. You have to prioritize and use personal discretion regarding every current and future issue that you can imagine. Then you have to also judge integrity & consistency. A candidate's openness to study the issues & courage to think for themselves. Then you need to review their honesty & work ethic.  I respect any voter's decision, when they've informed themselves and took voting seriously." - David Van Risseghem

SoonerPolitics.org is committed to informing & mobilizing conservative Oklahomans for civic reform & restored liberty. We seeks to utilize the efforts of all cooperative facets of the Conservative movement... Content of the diverse columns are solely at the discretion of the dozens of websites who create the content.   David Van Risseghem  is the founder of this platform.
Sooner Politics News is a platform, not a media site. All our bloggers get their feeds promoted regardless of content. As soon as We suppress or delete even one posting, we become an endorser of whatever We didn't censor..The publisher doesn't (and could not) logically agree with all the content, so we would not expect any rational reader to agree, either. What we do hope, is that readers will think for themselves, and at least be better informed of the issues, events, and values that our citizen journalists work hard to provide for free.. We automate much of the tasks so that our sources' content gets as much exposure as possible. We encourage constructive discussion & debate. The solution is more free speech, not less.
