Covid Death Rate Under 1% In Oklahoma

11/23/2020

Comments

Oklahoma has the 12th lowest death rate from Covid-19. Oklahoma has one of the higher testing rates in the USA.  About 2 million tests have been recorded on our nearly 4 million people. So our low rate is not coming from our lack of tests to confirm actual illnesses.
Texas, for instance, only tests their public at a rate of half of the Oklahoma testing services.
The real data shows that of the roughly 175,000 confirmed Oklahoma cases, less than 1700 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19. that's lower than 1%, so far.  Most Oklahomans believe the actual infection spread is nearly twice the confirmed number. Many residents believe they, or someone they know, had Covid-19 as early as last December.
Vermont continues to lead the nation in low death rates. But who travels to Vermont? The same is true of Alaska & Hawaii. It appears that the places with the most travel activities are among the highest in social spread of Covid-19.

Is the lockdown Just 2 Weeks?

11/22/2020

Comments

A french social media website had this essay regarding the fatigue of trying to prevent a new cold virus from spreading. It may be a European author, but the sentiment is global. Last March we were asked to go along with a 2 week shutdown, and in return the govt. would send us thousands of dollars.
It's worth reading just for the catalog of impact on daily life which has taken on so many manifestations of disruption.

"It's just 2 weeks.

  • It's just 2 meters.
  • It is just washing your hands several times a day with hydroalcoholic gel, which is harmful or toxic.
  • It's just a mandatory mask inside and out even if it's useless and it's a nest of germs.
  • It's just thousands of bankruptcies.
  • It's just thousands of depressions.
  • It's just thousands of suicides.
  • It's just the increase in poverty and unemployment.
  • It's just an economic recession.
  • It's just multinationals doing great business.
  • It's just the return of single-use plastic.
  • It's just disposable masks everywhere.

Gov. Stitt Violates Health Emergency Law By Not Calling Special Session

11/18/2020

Comments

The Catastrophic Health Emergency Powers Act that Gov. Stitt activated last April was properly executed and served as a national model. But Stitt seems to be ignoring it, today.  That act required a finding by the state legislature in special session. It automatically expired in 30 days and the governor did not seek an extension, as he had a right to seek.
The April 2020 process also empowered the state's Commissioner of Health to make emergency orders, subject to a legislative oversight panel, who advised the legislative leadership regarding any potential abuses of these enormous powers.
If the 900 or so illnesses from last April warranted a legitimate catastrophe action plan, then why not call the legislature into special session, now that 9000 illnesses are confirmed on a daily basis?
Why isn't the governor following the prescribed laws?

Masses of Conservatives Rush to Alternative Social Media Sites.

11/18/2020

Comments

Twitter, Youtube, & Facebook now shut down posts for 'misleading' news.

You must have an approved slant in your news.

If the left hasn't yet created a rebuttal, you'll be shut down, as well.
This is only applied broadly to conservatives. you can publish Trump's personal tax data(felony), but you can't publish the Biden extortion letters.
You can be completely factual, but now you need to discredit your own news with a required leftist narrative.
This is why many are diversifying their social media channels with Parler, Gab, MeWe, Rumble, UgeTube, BitChute, and other free services.

Newkirk Mayor Calls For Civil Liberties To Remain 'Inalienable' in 2020

11/16/2020

Comments

Brian Hobbs, mayor of Newkirk, Ok; just wrote this letter to his town, fellow mayors, state leaders, & all Oklahomans.
Hobbs is deeply concerned that fundamental human rights are being taken by governments under the guise of saving us from ourselves.
I will preface this statement with the fact that as an elected officer, I have encouraged everyone I know to stay home including my direct family my parents my wife’s parents as much as possible. I don’t want anyone to take this as encouragement to be irresponsible. I have asked everyone to practice good hygiene and social distancing. I have asked that people treat this corona virus as a real threat. I have prayed for people to be safe and that God’s will be done. I am not trying to convince anyone that the government is going to line people up in the street tomorrow and execute them. I am only pointing out that freedom has eroded gradually over time. There is a difference between suggesting something and ordering it, backed by the threat of violence.
However, I ask myself with all of my countrymen begging for the government to institute a Nazi Germany, East Berlin type lockdown on its citizens. Why??

Gov. Stitt Faces Strong Opposition On Shutdown Orders

11/16/2020

Comments

Today, Oklahoma Governor, Kevin Stitt, made multiple orders which have questionable legal standing. His executive order to state employees at agency offices is not the most controversial of the actions.
What is bringing him 'pushback' from his strongest legislative allies is the orders for all restaurants and taverns to close up at 11pm, nightly.
Rep. Sean Roberts, Chairman of the House Public Health Committee said he's .." not aware of any statutory or constitutional authority" for the governor to make these orders without declaring a state of public health emergency.  That would precipitate a special session of the full legislature within 48 hours and a 30-day granting of emergency authority, along with a legislative oversight committee who could alert the legislature of any abuses of executive actions, and a rescinding of authority when deemed appropriate.
Civil Rights Attorney, Frank Urbanic, said it seems the governor is attempting the same unconstitutional action under a 'Riot Control Act" that Urbanic exposed last March.  When Urbanic published his legal research last spring, the governor moved rapidly to correct his abuse before the legislature could investigate a constitutional abuse.
House Majority leader, Jon Echols, said last May that it's not likely that the House would have approved a second 30-day extension had the governor requested it.

The Rapid Rise of a Virus In Oklahoma

11/13/2020

Comments

More Oklahomans got infected last week, than the entire spring of 2020.

As the conventional tracking models suggest, you'll likely be  a patient in the next few months.
Currently, almost 4% of Oklahomans are confirmed to have the Wuhan strain of a cold virus. But the most concerning statistic is the rate of spread.  While at least 4 out of 5 patients will not need hospital care, the massive number of hospitalized patients over the coming holidays will stress the healthcare infrastructure of every state, not just Oklahoma.
While some advocates are calling for more restrictive control of public behavior, it's important to hold those 'control freaks' to a heightened level of accountability for their use of legal authority.
If we want the populace to act like responsible folks, we need to approach them with the proper temperament. Rather than jumping at the chance to control them, we need to appeal to the hero factor in each of us. It will bring out the best in most of us.

Are we forgetting to distance?

Many retailers are making severe mistakes. Walmart, for instance, spent months with a policy of pressing all shoppers into just one entrance. It's a 'bottleneck' effect.

Former Illinois Governor Exposes Legacy of Election Fraud

11/7/2020

Comments

  A classic communist proverb says something like this;

" It's not the votes that count, It's who counts the votes."
Picture
Native Chicagoan, & former Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich; was taken down by Democrat rivals when he tried to play the corrupt game that Chicago kingpin, Mayor Bill Daley is renowned for. "Blogo" went to prison for soliciting a kickback from Jesse Jackson jr., in order to get Jackson appointed to the unexpired Obama US Senate seat, in 2009.  That's how Obama plays the power game, using the corrupt FBI.
In 1960, the US presidential election came down to Illinois. Daley's Chicago swamp waited until all the conservative rural counties were done reporting, and hen he amazingly came up with enough Democrat ballots to swing Illinois to John Kennedy and win the White House.  What happened in 2020, is nothing different. It was just exported to about a half dozen states where Democrats control the tabulating process.
A modest reform to the modern era's instant communications dynamic would be to have each state fully count all ballots, but not publish any tabulated state totals until each & every state has signaled  that they have counted at least 95% of their legal & undisputed ballots.

Bice Set To Leave Ok Senate, Special Election Being Planned Soon

11/4/2020

Comments

Another election will soon be called by the governor. With Republican Senator Stephanie Bice prevailing over Democrat incumbent, Kendra Horn, she will be sworn in to the next US House of Representatives next January. That will trigger a vacancy of Senate district 22 in the Oklahoma legislature.
She may in fact submit her resignation shortly after the state vote is certified, within days.
The governor then is required to call for a special election process over the next 4 months or so. If this is done promptly, the people of the western edge of the OKC metro area will only lose minimal representation. Her successor could be sworn in soon enough to cast important votes on key reforms and budgets for the next fiscal year.
The district includes most of 4 school districts, including Deer Creek, Yukon, Piedmont, and Okarche.
Organizers are already discussing potential candidacies and lining up support.  If one of the local state representatives should enter this race & prevail, it would cause yet another local legislative election in the spring & summer.
Sooner Politics will be monitoring the community organizing and publishing news as it becomes public.

Democrats Lose Big In Legislature

11/4/2020

Comments

The House Democrat caucus shrank last night as 4 more House seats went over to the Republican majority, with another seat still too close to call.
Rural Oklahoma Democrats remain in freefall as David Perryman's vacated seat goes Republican, in the Chickasaw area. Matt Meredith lost decisively to Bob Culver in eastern Oklahoma, near the Tahlequah area.  Former House Dem. Leader, Steve Kouplen lost his rematch against the unfunded Republican incumbent, Logan Phillips.
Even in the new Democrat stronghold of the OKC area, Kelly Albright was turned out of office in the Midwest City area.
Ben Loring of Miami did not file for another term Republican Steve Bashore was unopposed for that seat.
Dem. incumbent, Jacob Rosecrants, may win a razor-thin victory in a Norman race where he holds a 79-vote margin among over 20,000 cast votes. The mail-in ballots gave him a huge margin. It would seem an ideal place to investigate ballot integrity in the way mass mailings are processed in the Cleveland County Election Board.

Salsa Hit Takes Presidential Campaign By Storm

11/2/2020

Comments

'Cancion de Trump' captures the campaign.

There's a new Miami sound machine. It's Los 3 de la Habana.  The new hit salsa to hit the social scene is Cancion de Trump. It's catchy and it's going everywhere. Even avowed leftists are admitting that it's a brilliant and effective part of messaging for pop culture.
And political scientists often quote the axiom; "Politics is downstream from culture."  Miami is synonymous with the pop culture trends of fashion, imaging, and celebration of American values.  One strong sentiment of the Cuban community is a loathing of socialist & Marxist communism like that which butchered many of their grandparents in Cuba.
The song is a salsa beat &
rhythm which is set to lyrics of proud identification with the American values of individual liberty and opportunity.

Oklahoma Libertarians May Get 'Yellow Card' Warning From Election Board

11/1/2020

Comments

The 3rd political party in Oklahoma was officially granted state recognition in early 2016, just in time to get Presidential candidate, Gary Johnson on the ballot.   Unless the little-known Libertarian candidate in the 2020 race can get her message to catch fire, there may soon be an end to this 21st century franchise.
4 years ago, there were several Libertarian candidates of notoriety and political accomplishment. A software pioneer, former governors, and media personalities.
This year's pandemic shut down so much political party activities. That includes national party conventions.  It hurt the Libertarians deeply.
And Kanye West launched an independent effort. His global notoriety and personal wealth is likely going to give him as much ballot consideration as the  Libertarian.
The Oklahoma legislature gave the new party a very favorable package of reforms in state law regarding political organization.

Give OKC A 2nd Voice In Congress In 2022

11/1/2020

Comments

Oklahoma's metropolitan centers have grown significantly in the past decade. The OKC metro area now overflows into 7 surrounding counties, and that trend will likely accelerate over the next decade. The CD5 representative has been the lone voice for OKC metro's million-plus residents.  CD4 has slowly inched into the OKC area (including Midwest City and other communities) but CD4 has mostly been a Southern Oklahoma entity.
It's time to make 2 congressional seats to represent the OKC metro area and facilitate the further growth which is forecast in the 2020's.
Sure, the 2 seats will also have to pick up some outlying counties, so we designed a map to start the discussion.  we also focused on keeping as many counties as possible wholly within one district. Oklahoma County will be the only one to get split right along Reno Avenue.
