Time To Clean Out The Statutory Code

5/31/2021

Comments

There are antique laws in the attic of our statutory code. Laws that no longer are prosecuted, yet remain official laws.
An abusive tyranny is now fully suffocating the Oklahoma people.  It's all encompassing, with not a single agent of the oppression taking any responsibility for any of their action. It's come in the form of a cancerous statutory code. The legislatures of the past 114 years are the primary tyrants, along with our 28 governors.
Remember when your high school civics teacher said; "Ignorance of the law is no excuse!"? Let's break that down... In 1920, the Oklahoma statutory code of laws was about 1% of the pages now bound in 100 volumes.  There's not a judge on the Oklahoma bench who could know half of the laws that we could suffer punishment for transgressing. Most of those statutes have no direct victim. They are simply a form of prior restraint of our liberties, under the guise that people will feel safer if we are restricted by a threat of criminal punishment.
The problem is a statutory code which is a thousand times the size it was in 1920. In 1931, it was way bigger, but still one bound book. It's now 96 volumes, at my last count.  And many of those statutes still clutter the code even when they're no longer enforced consistently.  The code needs to be concise enough that an 18 year old can reasonably be accountable to know the law.

Several egregious examples of bad Oklahoma law are published in the blog, 'It's Still The Law'.

Chaney & Harris: The Two Most Feared & Beloved Educators In Oklahoma

5/30/2021

Comments

David Chaney & Ben Harris are the fellas who changed Oklahoma public education. About 10 years ago, they took the available internet technologies and the state charter school policies, then formed partnerships with several curriculum publishers; and set up a charter option for the small rural school district near Lake Eufaula, in eastern Oklahoma.
Since then, the two pioneers formed hundreds of partnerships with providers of arts, athletics, & academic institutions. They spoke to community clubs, parents groups, academic institutions, and municipal governments. Most of their efforts were about informing Oklahoma that education can be innovative and customized to an individual's unique circumstances.  Sometimes they were called before state agencies, legislative bodies, courts, and other entities.

Tulsa's Riot Centennial Remains Mostly Peaceful

5/30/2021

Black Militia March

On Saturday afternoon, several dozens of armed marchers assembled in the Greenwood area to affirm their 2nd Amendment rights of self defense. It was an odd thing for political leftists to observe, because these marchers appeared to be identifying as African American, but their assertion of civil rights were not the sort of rights that nationally identified 'civil rights leaders' love to promote.
The right of a competent, lawful individual, to 'keep & bear arms'.
The March started at North Latimer St, and proceeded south on ML King Blvd., to the north edge of the OSU Tulsa campus, to the Greenwood Community Center near downtown Tulsa's business district. The march then looped north to Pine St, then back west to ML King Blvd, to where the march started. Tulsa Police report that they provided a safety escort to the march, along the agreed path.  It is still a statutory crime to carry a firearm on a state college campus. Police insisted that marchers stay on public right-of-way, in the permitted march.

Out-Of-Towners Disappointed By Cancelled Tulsa Events

5/28/2021

Comments

An editorial..

Tulsa is hosting a Centennial Remembrance & a PGA Championship, all in the same weekend.  Our weather pattern is stealing the show with tornado watches and flood alerts.  Street flooding might just bring us all together.  Tourists might actually be part of the solution if they end up on a sandbagging project down by the river.
If the weather warnings become a reality, Tulsa may need some real help. But will the out-of-town celebrities be the right kind of examples?
37 years ago, Memorial Day weekend in Tulsa was very deadly. Thousands were stranded. 14 died.  The weather conditions look very similar right now.
So far, Tuesday might still be on for the current presidential plans. Much of the other celebrity events for Monday are currently scrubbed.

AG Mike Hunter Resigns Amid Sex Scandal & Divorce Filing

5/27/2021

Comments

One of Oklahoma's ultimate political insiders, AG Mike Hunter,  just resigned in disgrace.  Seems he was lacking moral and even legal discretion in how close he chose to become with another member of the state govt.

Felony Adultery?

In Oklahoma, the legislature has left adultery as a statutory  criminal felony on the books for decades after it's ceased to be prosecuted.  It's become evident that the Attorney General may be guilty of this felony and therefore disqualified for state elective office.  His resignation, effective June 1st; effectively accomplishes that end of his public service for Oklahoma.
Hunter began in state politics when he replaced State Rep. Porter Davis in the Oklahoma House. Mary Fallin served the same HD85 in the Oklahoma House immediately succeeding Hunter. Later he was working with Gov. Frank Keating, both as Secretary of State, and operating a banking lobby in Washington, DC. Then Gov. Fallin tapped Hunter to replace Scott Prewitt as Attorney General, in 2017.

Epic Grand Jury: "No Indictments"

5/22/2021

Comments

A multicounty grand jury is at it again, with the perennial investigation game to cast a shadow over the only real 'school choice' statewide alternative. Thousands of families have been abused by the hundreds of public school districts who've been able to claim a monopoly on the common education institutions of Oklahoma. Thousands of bullied and taunted kids have returned to the sanctuary of their parent's protection in their own homes, while logging into the state's best online school district.
For that, the founders of Epic MUST be punished! They must be made an example of, so that no one else dares to challenge the state's largest govt. empire... public education. That seems to be the resolute call of the Lincoln Boulevard swamp creatures and the financial interests which have extorted billions through sweetheart deals with the dept. of education.
In just 9 years, a small charter school innovation became Oklahoma's largest 'school district'. And they've made a lot of enemies from the $4 billion dollar swamp of school districts who don't like being compared to Epic's reformed & innovative model.
Even the State Superintendent of Public Instruction is attacking Epic on behalf of organized labor, and the rackets which put her in office to protect their empires.

Tulsa Health Dept Injects Spoiled Vaccine Into Over 1100 Unsuspecting Patients

5/21/2021

Comments

Health Dept. Passive Cover Up of Malpractice Needs to Be Investigated.

Two days ago, The Tulsa County Health Dept quietly admitted a major failure and unknown risk to Tulsa patients who trusted the govt. agency to protect them from a deadly virus. Vaccine doses which were spoiled for nearly 14 days, were given to the public, at area vaccine clinics.
Rather than title the deeply buried press release; "Recall: Spoiled Vaccines Injected At Health Dept", and splashed at the main homepage of the official agency website; the agency simply said they corrected a protocol.
  • No mention of the problem is posted on the homepage of the county health agency. A tiny link on the footer says "Press Room".
  • No mention on the Press Room of the over 1100 individuals who falsely believe they are immunized, but in reality have an unknown danger from a spoiled dose in their bodies.
  • Only a deflecting headline on a 3rd page titled "Media Releases". It gives no alert to individuals to seek competent medical advice or follow up care.

Seven Oregon Counties Vote For Secession To Idaho

5/20/2021

Comments

Picture
This week, 5 more Oregon counties voted in favor of a proposal to join the state of Idaho, and abandon ties to Oregon.
This brings the total to 7 counties, all voting in favor of abandoning Oregon. 15 more counties in Oregon have similar proposals seeking a vote of the people. the counties are mostly southern or eastern parts of Oregon. A couple of southern coastal counties are also seeking a break with Oregon, which is overwhelmingly controlled by radical leftists in the Portland metro area.
California's northern counties have begged to join the Greater Idaho movement, as well.  The initiative, if successful; will more than double the size of Idaho.
Politically, it calls on the leftists in control to show the same deference which 'liberals' have historically demonstrated for self determination, such as the Autonomous zones in the state capitols, over the past year.
Amnesty International is also being called upon to support the rights of self-determination of the people.
In the past, Amnesty International has mostly supported Marxist initiatives for breakaway govt.

So far, there have been 7 Oregon counties voting on secession. All 7 voted for the idea.

Rep. Bice Votes With Democrats & Liz Cheney, For New Jan. 6th 'Riot' Probe

5/20/2021

Comments

Oklahoma Congresswoman, Stephanie Bice joined the 10 other Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump. The move pits her against the other 4 united Oklahoma congressmen, including Cole, Hern, Lucas, & Mullin.  Republican leader, Kevin McCarthy condemned the legislation.
This may be the first clear evidence of Bice's departure from the previously unified Republican Oklahoma delegation in the US House of Representatives.
There are several standing House Committees with current jurisdiction to conduct investigations into events like the many street riots in Mpls, Portland, Seattle, and other major hotbeds of Marxist riots.
But Pelosi wants to focus on a narrative which was debunked by video footage of that day, and continue a drumbeat for labeling Trump supporters as terrorists.
Bice will clearly be inviting a primary opponent by her new alliances with the far left. Republicans chose Bice last year and poured vast amounts of campaign resources into helping her secure a very narrow victory over Democrat Kendra Horn.

House Reveals New District Maps for 2022

5/15/2021

Comments

A few weeks ago we revealed the Oklahoma Senate redistricting plan, and intended to follow up with the House report shortly after. Thank God we held off, because the House still wasn't done making radical changes in some areas.
The Senate maps are now awaiting final approval. The House maps are also awaiting the final signature. Suburban metro areas are receiving larger delegations while remote areas of the state are seeing their districts grow in geographic size. This is because  the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution requires equal representation in the districts. Every district must be of very similar population, in the most current census reports.  Wouldn't it be great if our school districts were reformed every decade, to assure our kids of an education environment where the resources are optimally and equitably spent? (I digress.)
Picture
The House makeup will see some districts jump across the state. This is primarily done by finding a lawmaker who is not seeking reelection, then moving that constituency base to surrounding districts.

Revisionist Narratives Consume the Race Riot Centennial Observances

5/11/2021

Comments

In 1921, a horrible defamation turned into a deadly and costly Tulsa riot.
This is the fundamental narrative of some political tensions brewing a century later.  Along with the information being taught in classrooms, homes, and through media outlets, there are speculations and vast politically correct scolding.  Let's look at some of the more controversial narratives that are being spread this spring.
  • Massacre. Many insist we refer to "The Tulsa Race Massacre. Historically we all referred to the riot ever since the riot began. The controversy is that some are saying many more individuals died than the official body count. While 39 fatalities were named, several more were not.  It's plausible that more than 100 died.
The event was so embarrassing to the 'city fathers'. Not one person was ever brought to criminal court for the riot, even though over 100 were indicted.
In 2001, a commission was tasked with investigating this tragedy. No new casualty count was determined. This past year the city has commissioned a search for mass graves, but none have been found.
