Earthquakes Return To Oklahoma

1/31/2022

Comments

A couple of seismic disturbances have jostled Oklahoma, today. The USGS reported an initial 4.6 magnitude disruption just south of the Kansas border, near a petroleum well site.
This quake is estimated to be nearly 5 miles below the surface, near Medford, OK.
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has been regulating the amount of saltwater waste that producers can force back down some older well sites.  This policy came after strong outrage from residents who suffered widespread structural damages from thousands of moderate tremors occurred in a few years prior to a Labor Day 5.9 quake destroyed several homes, shops and pavements.
Oklahoma's Arbuckle Formation is a natural geological 'dome' which sits a few miles below central Oklahoma. It's considered an ideal 'septic tank' for producers across the central US to dump the residual saltwater that comes up from crude oil deposits locked miles below the earth's surface.
We're awaiting a report from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, updating the status of today's events and what impact this may have on policy for how much and how quickly the state's petroleum industry can use central Oklahoma as a wastewater landfill.

Picture
The Medford Quake (11:11am) is near an old wellsite. Google Earth shows the estimated epicenter to be about 1000 feet from an old well pump & storage tank. We have no data on whether this site is an injection well.
Injection wells serve two purposes for the Oil Industry.
  1. They allow producers to 'push' lagging residual crude oil to a condensation point where an active well can more efficiently pump it to the surface.
  2.  They allow the oil producers to put saltwater back into the ground where it came from.

St. Anthony Hospitals Admit Giving Preference to Colored Covid Patients, Over Whites

1/18/2022

Comments

All Whites were forced to meet a 43% Higher 'bar' for inpatient care.

Saint Anthony's Hospital chain (part of the SSM hospital chain, headquartered in Wisconsin); Issued a press statement yesterday. They admitted to a system of giving a 'headstart' preference to any colored person by using what was supposed to be an objective set of criteria for consistent and nondiscriminatory care to the communities they serve.
In Oklahoma, SSM has 5 medical centers which the SSM website lists in their 'Hospitals' division.
MiddleAmericaNews published an explanation of just how white Oklahomans may have been denied MonoClonal AntiBodies  (mAbs) treatment and put at serious risk of death, while colored people were given this 'miracle treatment' and other care to shorten their illness by 'kickstarting' their bodies' immune system with the intravenous therapy.

Franklin Graham Encourages Prayer For Vaccine Guidance

1/16/2022

Comments

Revisiting a controversial news mess from 10 months ago, where Franklin Graham was sabotaged by self-serving media outlets.
The rumor mills in the social media world are full of misquotes and half-truths about how influencers express their thoughts in the Covid pandemic.
Among the most misquoted passages is that of Franklin Graham,  who heads his father's evangelistic association.
Lately, several folks have told me that franklin said; "Jesus would get the Covid vaccine."
So I searched several sources and found what appears to be a Twitter post from Franklin. It was posted 10 months ago, as the phased rollout was just becoming widely available to the general population.
This is one matter where the jingo-ized question; "What Would Jesus Do?"(WWJD), does not work(theologically).
Here's the directive that Franklin imparts to the public.
"Since there are different vaccines available, my recommendation is that people do their research, talk to their doctor, and pray about it to determine which vaccine, if any, is right for them."
- Franklin Graham March, 2021 - Twitter

Google boosted the Charlotte Observer's article. Perhaps it fit their desired narrative? But the Editor changed the message to claim something Graham never said. this undermined the reliability of many commercial media influencers.

Paxton Says OK2A Pledge To Nonviolence.. Was Too Violent

1/14/2022

Comments

 When OK2A President, Don Spencer; spoke to a civic group last month, he summed up his group's civic engagement strategy with this phrase;

“We win at the ballot box, so we don’t have to go to the ammo box.”

That pledge seems to have had an opposite effect on State Senator Lonnie Paxton (R-Blanchard).  Paxton is now the public safety committee chairman in the Oklahoma senate. It's a powerful position which allows Paxton a dictator's role to kill any bill assigned to his committee, without so much as a vote.  Paxton completely controls the committee agenda of the committee.
The pledge made by Don Spencer evokes the spirit of the 1770s in colonial North America, where citizens spent years seeking protection of their rights under the UK's Magna Carta, only to see parliament and King George oppress the colonies even more.
Some powerful lawmakers seek a docile public who will never pose a threat of revolt, no matter how severe their rights are ignored.
In 1775, it was the King's military mission to confiscate the New England militia's gun powder, which sparked the first colonial bloodshed at Lexington.

If Sen. Paxton is worried about Spencer's words, Thomas Jefferson's quotes will really cause him insomnia.

Piper, Harris, & Jack Announce Candidacies In Local Races

1/13/2022

Prominent Oklahoma Leaders Take On Local Political Challenges.

  • Former Oklahoma Wesleyan University President seeks County Commissioner for Osage County.
  • Former Tulsa District Attorney, Tim Harris; stepped up to the challenge of public school accountability.
  • Former Builder, Bob Jack,  announced his candidacy for County Commissioner.
The Oklahoma Republicans are now showing resolve to turn local govt. more conservative. Three energetic recent retirees are running for local leadership roles in 2022.
Tulsa County Republican Chair, Ronda Vuillemont-Smith, said the party will work hard to get the broader electorate more informed and engaged in these races.  The Tulsa GOP may hold forums for the County Committee to weigh in. A straw poll of the precinct leaders is another option for informing the broader electorate of which candidates reflect party values for public office. But no specifics have yet been announced by the Tulsa County GOP.

The Republican Party appears to be taking to heart the axiom of local impact for greater change and reform.

We're posting the 3 tabs of the spreadsheet in the table below.
The rankings are by comparison of 'per million population'.

1889 Institute Bids Farewell To Oklahoma

1/3/2022

Comments

Today, Oklahomans who've been advocating for small govt., transparency, economic freedom, and better accountability; have received news of the closing of the 1889 Institute.
The relatively new thinktank was known for their indepth research and vast library of reports pertaining to Oklahoma govt. at all levels.
The work that Founder Byron Schlomach began in 2015 will now fall on others. Sooner Politics will deeply miss the vast resources that 1889 institute shared openly with all of Oklahoma.
We're reposting the last blog post from the 1889 Institute website.
We Regret to Say, Goodbye
by Byron Schlomach | Jan 3, 2022 | Blog | 0 comments

I came here almost 7 years ago, driving in on I-40 from Arizona in my 1965 vintage motorhome. It was quite the adventure to be here when the long drought was broken. Having grown up near Wichita Falls, Texas, I’d heard tornado sirens before, but after living in Central Texas and Arizona for 35 years, I was unaware of the new radar technologies and just how weather reporting during storm events had evolved.

CNN & Johns Hopkins' Oklahoma Epidemic Death Reports Are False

1/3/2022

Comments

According to the Oklahoma Health Dept., the national news and national health institutions are giving out radically false information on Oklahoma.
The latest report (Dec. 28) of Oklahoma's Covid-19 deaths, from the State Health Dept, list 11,552 total confirmed deaths from 'covid-positive' residents. But CNN says that Johns Hopkins is saying that 12,419 deaths in Oklahoma are covid-related.
So an error of nearly 8% is apparent. There is a delay of about 5 days, but Oklahoma had 51 deaths of Covid-positive patients in the week prior to the latest report. That trend does not explains a 867 fake body count by the east coast medical college and hospital. The covid death count in Oklahoma rose by 253 in the previous 4 weeks.
Sadly, CNN & many other policy influencers are still proudly claiming Johns Hopkins as their authoritative source for pandemic facts.

Even Vaccine Developers Are Now 'Anti-Vaxxers'

Dr. Robert Malone created the innovative gene therapy known as mRNA. But he's not immune to the fascist cancel culture of the CDC and the partners in the Tech sector social media world.
Last week he was removed from Twitter for undisclosed violations. Simply put; they know they don't control him so they are terrified that he may discredit the DC fascists.
Malone wrote a simple blog post while waiting for his flight from Austin Texas. It is full of good news on the Covid front, which is even more reason for Twitter to ban him. Here's the latest from Dr. Malone's blog..

Do Not Take Part in the Lie

Yesterday, I had to take an antibody test in order to get into the studio in Austin.  The good news is that my natural immunity from my last round of COVID is robust - with IgA and even IgM Antibodies present.

Editorial: Defund the FBI & Replace It's Constitutional Duties

1/3/2022

Comments

The US needs a real federal law enforcement entity. Which is why we need to dissolve this corrupt bunch.
The silence is deafening. The lack of criminal indictments is scandalous. It's now clear that the D.C. swamp is run by the mal-named 'Justice Department'. Under that hypocritical title there is a division called the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It's been corrupted since it's founding. J. Edgar Hoover abused the powers of the division to collect and store dirt on every political and cultural leader in the nation.
No one held the FBI to account for any abuses. It seems all of Washington is scared to death that there is some dirt on each of them. Dirt which could criminally convict them. Dirt which could remove them from office.  Dirt which could humiliate them. Dirt which could end their marriages or turn them into social outcasts.

"No politician 'checks off every box" in your list of issues. You have to prioritize and use personal discretion regarding every current and future issue that you can imagine. Then you have to also judge integrity & consistency. A candidate's openness to study the issues & courage to think for themselves. Then you need to review their honesty & work ethic.  I respect any voter's decision, when they've informed themselves and took voting seriously." - David Van Risseghem

We seeks to utilize the efforts of all cooperative facets of the Conservative movement... Content of the diverse columns are solely at the discretion of the dozens of websites who create the content.   David Van Risseghem  is the founder of this platform.
Sooner Politics News is a platform, not a media site. All our bloggers get their feeds promoted regardless of content. As soon as We suppress or delete even one posting, we become an endorser of whatever We didn't censor..The publisher doesn't (and could not) logically agree with all the content, so we would not expect any rational reader to agree, either. What we do hope, is that readers will think for themselves, and at least be better informed of the issues, events, and values that our citizen journalists work hard to provide for free.. We automate much of the tasks so that our sources' content gets as much exposure as possible. We encourage constructive discussion & debate. The solution is more free speech, not less.
