Cities with a mask mandate in effect, now are showing more illness per capita than cities not mandating mouth & nose coverings.
In page 12 of the State Health Dept's weekly Covid19 report (a 44 page file), the state's top public health authorities are now saying that the mask mandates are associated with a 4% higher illness outcome, in the most recent tabulations. The masks were never intended to be the 'front line' strategy for curtailing viral spread. It was a recommendation for "when socially distancing of 6 feet or more cannot be maintained in a continual presence. The ever-evolving narrative of our science experts are creating a serious skepticism of anything coming from public health advisors. What many of us were concerned about is a false security in masks which have led many to become far less vigilant about keeping personal distance and other sanitation safeguards. We know that distancing works. We know that the consumer masks don't filter out virus particles. the mask is only a muffler to keep us from spewing our 'exhaust particles' across the room. |
