In 1991, John McLaughlin opened Saturday Night Live with a great skit, spoofing the McLaughlin Group. Dana Carvey, Chris Farley, Kevin Nealon, Phil Hartman, and Mike Meyers were also in the skit.

John McLaughlin had an excellent sense of humor. When he was being roasted, he would join in and mock even more blatantly than the rest.
