| News9 is reporting that Legislative Democrats are claiming a win for their effort to hit the state's top industry with a hefty tax increase on their gross production of petroleum. the tax is mandated even if the producer suffers a massive loss or even goes bankrupt. Republican legislators were not on hand for the press conference and are not yet ready to acknowledge the details or explain why the Democrats apparently achieved every objective while holding less than 30% of the seats. Gov. Fallin is eager to raise taxes even higher than the Democrats were pushing. Somehow this group of leaders decided that a $215 million dollar shortfall needs a $560 million fix.
