American Airlines Battles Tulsa Maintenance Union Workers

  American Airlines (AA) went to Federal Court, this past week, to seek penalties for union members defying an injunction at the main Maintenance facility in Tulsa, as well as other facilities which service the aircraft they rely upon. 
  In testimony offered to the courts, AA says that over 175,000 travelers have been inconvenienced by the slowdown which the union is accused of orchestrating.
  AA's largest maintenance facility is in Tulsa, OK.
 A trial is scheduled for Monday in federal district court in Fort Worth on American’s request for a permanent injunction against the Transport Workers Union and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
  The unions strongly contend that AA is to blame for walking away from contract talks.  They claim that the low morale is an inevitability which the union is helpless to contain.
  The court has set a Monday hearing on the matter. It's at the federal courthouse in Fort Worth, TX.
  AA has long been the largest single employer in the Tulsa metro area.
