With the Oklahoma Supreme Court about to hold a rare open session, next Tuesday morning, the Auto dealers filed their rebuttal to the Attorney General, Mike Hunter's case. The AG spend vast sums of our taxpayers' money to defend the attempt to take even more taxpayers' money in an unconstitutional manner. But the auto dealers are having none of it. they are basing their petition on the plain and simple text of the bill, the constitution, and the dialogue of the House & Senate chambers. The high court will meet with 8 of the 9 justices ruling on the cases brought by Tobacco & Retail, Auto Dealers & Buyers, And gubernatorial candidate, Gary Richardson. Richardson is challenging 3 tax bills and will be the last petitioner to face the court. The High Court will convene in the Historic chamber, on the 2nd floor of the capitol building. The whole event starts at 9am, Tuesday, Aug. 8th. There is talk of an overflow accommodation in a nearby committee room. We don't know if the video feed will also be cast on the internet. |
