Then persuasion happened outside the chamber, when the Republican leadership and their minions left the room with Martinez & Frix. About the time the group returned, Avery Frix became an additional 'No' vote. In the end, only Ryan Martinez & Avery Frix (freshmen from Edmond & Muskogee) were persuaded to switch to a 'Yea' vote. Martinez flipped his vote , followed a minute or so later by Frix; and the roll was closed shortly thereafter.
