| There remains a very start contrast between the urban statist mindset and the rural libertarian. Nowhere is this more obvious than the issue of ownership of personal arms. If you believe that govt. is inherently good and capable of curing all societal ills without ever encroaching on personal freedoms, you might be a product of the statist education system. This delusion is most exposed when we see a terrorist attack a dense crowd of disarmed victims awaiting their turn to pass through a metal detector at an airport or courthouse. Nothing says "EASY TARGET" like a mass of 'sheeple' standing in long lines at entry gates to gun-free zones. My grandfather was giving me a tour of his new motor home. Before he opened one compartment, he asked me; "Do you know why you haven't heard more about 'snowbirds' getting robbed on their way to winter destinations in the south?" "No", I replied. "I'd assume they carry significant cash and aren't as capable of defending themselves." He then showed me his arsenal of arms and said; "We all carry protection.". |  |

The top crime cities are all run by big govt. liberal statists. I researched the list and found that not only did they have liberal Democrat mayors, but they have been run by liberal political machines for several decades.
