| This week, Travis Brauer, a former legislative liaison for Gov. Mary Fallin; appeared in district court. He was 'lawyered up' and preparing for DA David Prater's best presentation of the charges against him. What started out as an investigation into alleged voyeuristic effort to capture an 'up-skirt' video of a capitol protestor; became an even more troubling case of probable obstruction of justice. Brauer verbally committed to cooperate with the investigation, telling law enforcement that he would surrender his mobile phone the following Monday. Ironically, he "lost his phone at the lake" that weekend. He later said he had a synced backup on his laptop. that data was studied and led prosecutors to a belief that a deliberate destruction of evidence was committed. Brauer was a representative of the governor at the capitol. The governor is not coming to his defense, like she did for Preston Doerflinger and Terri White, when they were put under arrest. |  |
