On a chilly January Saturday, grassroots advocates in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and other communities are gathering to learn the legislative process and how to communicate with lawmakers for the sake of better legislative action.
In Tulsa, Americans For Prosperity of Oklahoma (AFP-OK) sponsored a conference along with the Tulsa 912 Project. Attendees heard from several veteran advocates, including Amanda Teegarden; about how and when to have the biggest impact on legislation which affects issues important to them. Tulsa 912 & AFP funded the cost and those attending were also given the opportunity to give back to the leaders who taught the content of the 9 hour conference & meals.
In OKC, The Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership held their Oklahoma Political Leadership School. It was a full day event and admission was a set fee with student discounts available.
