Oklahoma's most notable conservative voice in public education, Linda Murphy, has entered the race for State Superintendent for Public Instruction. She ran for the seat more than 20 years ago, in a bid to unseat Sandra Garrett. That election was perhaps the closest in the history of the office. Murphy has long been engaged in state public policy matters for education. Her conservative credentials are well documented and her passion for reform of the education process has been refreshing, especially in this time of resurgence of the socialists beating the drum for more infusions of confiscated family taxes, to prop up the outdated and highly inefficient systems in our public education bureaucracy. Joy Hofmeister currently holds the seat as a Republican, after unseating a fellow Republican in 2014, using massive dark money funds associated with liberal entities. Hofmeister was indicted 2 years ago for those campaign irregularities, but the indictment was rescinded months later, by the Democrat District Attorney. We're posting Murphy's bio, from her education media site. |
