Oklahoma County Assessor, Larry Stein, filed this eyewitness video report from Norman Oklahoma. Larry was on location because of a state conference with other counties' officeholders. On his way to the conference, he went by the local sporting goods 'superstore.
What Larry saw was a developing line what was preparing to wrap around the outside of the building. It's because a fresh shipment of some arms and ammunition is expected to arrive and go to the shelves for immediate purchase. |

"It's been a nationwide hit," said an employee at the Outdoorsmen, in San Angelo, TX. "We've been told that there is a nearly billion dollar backup on orders from manufacturers.", he told SanAngeloLive.com
He thinks that this backup won't be resolved until the third quarter of 2022 and "that's if we're lucky." Even huge retail stores like Academy have had to limit ammunition purchases. "Ammunition Limits: Three Units Overall On All Handgun and Rifle Calibers Per Customer Per Day" states a large sign in Academy's ammo section of the store. They have also placed a sign in the entrance letting buyers know if they had a shipment of ammunition. On Jan. 19 there was no ammunition shipment. At another local gun shop, Texas Gun Shop, the parking lot was full and customers were parked down Park St. nearly to the International Water Lilly Collection. Although the store had the customers, they had nothing to sell. |
