County Commissioner, Marven Goodman, is publicly applauding the lead of Sheriff Damon Devereaux. In an upcoming Friday Morning County Commission meeting, the three Logan County Commissioners may officially codify the Devereaux doctrine on constitutional rights of self defense.
In a press statement released this morning, Goodman said;
As a resident citizen and Logan County Commissioner, I do without hesitation provide my unqualified support to our Logan County Sheriff, Damon Devereaux, in his official declaration making Logan County the first 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County in the great state of Oklahoma.
To that end, I have submitted a Resolution of Support to be considered by the Logan County Board of Commissioners at our next scheduled meeting. That resolution will be listed for consideration and possible approval on our Board of Commissioners' agenda this Friday, February 14, 2020. The meeting begins at 9am and will be held in the County Courthouse Annex, at the Commissioner’s conference room located at 312 E Harrison, Suite 101, Guthrie, OK 73044.
Logan County is just minutes north of Oklahoma City, and is the birthplace of the state of Oklahoma. The people of the county have a legacy of strong advocacy for constitutional freedoms.
