Oklahoma's House Majority Floor Leader, Jon Echols, told Chris Moe today that cities like Tulsa which is enacting predatory ordinances specifically and aggressively seeking to harm the cannabis businesses; "The language of SQ788 is clear.. They are going to get sued, and going to lose."
He added that the citizens of the cities will incur special assessments to cover the financial damages awarded in those lawsuits. Chris Moe produces his own media series on a nearly daily basis. He is a veteran, medical marijuana patient, and chronic pain management patient. Echols answers plainly about the process of instituting the new medical marijuana policy. Throughout the interview, Moe and Echols discuss many drug policy initiatives and focus on some terrible outcomes that the most vulnerable Oklahomans are facing this fall. Regarding Tulsa and other municipal governments, Echols clearly calls their new ordinances a costly and illegal series of actions which are going to be overturned in the courts. "I hope Tulsa doesn't do that... Tulsa is a capable & sofisticated city govt. and they know better.. This is a bad move and they're going to lose." |
