Gov. Mary Fallin has issued a date for the initiative petition proposal to allow doctors to prescribe medical uses for a series of cannabis byproducts.
This would put a class of treatments originating from the marijuana plant on the same legal status as Demoral and other products from Poppy plants. Morphine has long been a drug used in hospitals, military battlefields, and for severe pain control needs, including those in the last stages of cancer.
