Murder Rates Rise In Democrat-Led Cities

6/17/2022

Comments

What do the 13 deadliest cities in the US have in common? Democrat mayors.
As the nation's political left drives toward a civil collapse, One of the prime objectives is to break down civil society through crime. And to compound that problem, the far left has gained the offices of the prosecutor's office and mayor's office.
Just this week, 2 Los Angeles police officers were murdered after the district attorney failed to press the court for a mandated prison sentence. The sentence is for already being a convicted felon; and... Possessing a firearm! Instead, the LA prosecutor agreed to let him loose on the city. He is now accused of getting yet another firearm and then killing 2 police officers!
But the problem also has a federal component. In May of 2000, a younger Wayne LaPierre of the NRA told ABC News some blunt realities.
Referring to then president Bill Clinton, Mr. LaPierre said: ''I've come to believe that he needs a certain level of violence in this country. He's willing to accept a certain level of killing to further his political agenda and his vice president, too.''
Here is the countdown of the 13 deadliest cities, ranked by murders-per-capita.

LaPierre first spoke the quiet part in May of 2000. He said that the political accepts some killing so their agenda on gun control can advance

Deadliest Cities in the US - 2019

13. Washington, D.C. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Washington, D.C., is 23.52 per 100,000.

12. Miami Gardens, Florida. - Democrat mayor
In Miami Gardens, the murder rate is 23.64 per 100,000.

11. Richmond, Virginia. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Richmond is 23.84 per 100,000.

10. Cleveland, Ohio. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Cleveland is 24.09 per 100,000.

9. Memphis, Tennessee. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Memphis is 29.21 per 100,000.

8. Kansas City, Missouri. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Kansas City is 29.88 per 100,000.

7. New Orleans, Louisiana. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in New Orleans is 30.67 per 100,000.

6. Baton Rouge, Louisiana. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Baton Rouge is 31.72 per 100,000.

5. Dayton, Ohio. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Dayton is 34.18 per 100,000. That number spiked nearly 7.8 per 100,000 residents from 2018 to 2019.

4. Detroit, Michigan. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Detroit is 41.45 per 100,000 residents.
In 2019, 275 people were murdered in that city.

3. Birmingham, Alabama. - Democrat mayor
In 2019, the murder rate in Birmingham was 50.62 per 100,000.

2. Baltimore, Maryland. - Democrat mayor
The murder rate in Baltimore is 58.27 per 100,000.

1. St. Louis, Missouri. - Democrat mayor
With 64.54 murders per 100,000 residents, St. Louis had the highest murder rate for any major American city in 2019.
Yesterday, California's leftist governor got on Truth Social and immediately demagogued the gun violence stats by pointing out the top 10 deadliest states.
They just happen to be states whose statewide govt. is more Republican leaning, but the largest metro areas are Leftist strongholds.
So a dangerous metro area can end up making the whole state look dangerous. Of the 13 Deadliest cities in our list, 9 of them are in states who had Republican governors.

Kansas City & St. Louis both made this list, but most of Missouri is like Springfield & Branson; conservative and liberty-loving.
Newsom conveniently ignores the big cities' crime problems, and pointed his finger at the state governors and legislators.

Patricia & Mark McCloskey, outside their St. Louis home during a riot.

Mark McCloskey & his wife were alerted to a band of BLM rioters in their gated St. Louis neighborhood.  Not because Missouri is so lawless, but because St. Louis is.
The leftist local govt. had the McCloskey couple indicted for the crime of endangering others by standing barefoot on their front steps with legal firearms.
The leftist prosecutors never indicted the rioters trespassing on private property.
Many lives were lost during those riots, but the McCloskeys never had to fire a shot. Just their show of armed preparedness convinced the mob to go find other targets for pillaging.
It took a pardon from the Republican governor, to put the troubles to an end for the McCloskeys.

"No politician 'checks off every box" in your list of issues. You have to prioritize and use personal discretion regarding every current and future issue that you can imagine. Then you have to also judge integrity & consistency. A candidate's openness to study the issues & courage to think for themselves. Then you need to review their honesty & work ethic.  I respect any voter's decision, when they've informed themselves and took voting seriously." - David Van Risseghem

We seeks to utilize the efforts of all cooperative facets of the Conservative movement... Content of the diverse columns are solely at the discretion of the dozens of websites who create the content.   David Van Risseghem  is the founder of this platform.
Sooner Politics News is a platform, not a media site. All our bloggers get their feeds promoted regardless of content. As soon as We suppress or delete even one posting, we become an endorser of whatever We didn't censor..The publisher doesn't (and could not) logically agree with all the content, so we would not expect any rational reader to agree, either. What we do hope, is that readers will think for themselves, and at least be better informed of the issues, events, and values that our citizen journalists work hard to provide for free.. We automate much of the tasks so that our sources' content gets as much exposure as possible. We encourage constructive discussion & debate. The solution is more free speech, not less.
