As the Covid Pandemic mutates to further, Oklahoma is now in a safer era than the average risk.
The Oklahoma Health Dept issues a weekly report which helps put the current crisis in to better perspective (if you know where to look). While the obsession remains focused on a narrative that only a full regimen of monthly vaccines can save humanity, if you delve further, you'll find more data. On page 15 we find this chart which shows that Oklahomans die at a rate of near 900, during the 'flu season'. But not just from influenza. It's no secret that folks with very vulnerable health complications are the most likely to succumb to a major viral infection. the top 5 complications impacting Covid-19 fatalities are:

Is Omicron a savior?
One hopeful theory is that an Omicron illness may inoculate a person at least partially so that if a Beta or Delta variant comes along, the recovered Omicron patient should be far better equipped to fight it. Now that's just theory, but it has been deemed plausible by many epidemiologists.
One last observation:
Last week we published a report which compared state obesity rates to the Covid fatality impact. But the Health Department doesn't list morbid obesity among the complications impacting covid fatality. We'll look into that issue further.
